Not really, Soviet Republics were included in the USSR with their own boundaries. It really shouldn't have been that hard to withdraw with those boundaries serving as the new borders but political ambitions got the best of certain groups.

I think you meant Aramaic. We speak three dialects of Aramaic for the three different church denominations.

I'd say it's the biggest problem, period. The religion is inherently violent. That's why it was so successful at spreading. It proselytizes HARD, and it promises a good after life for those that spread it. It's split off from Judaism, rather than Christianity, so they still retain the "God's chosen people" thing the Jews have.
