LOG reached its plateau with the advent of series 3 and the movie thanks to the lack of laughter tracks
I'm not against the idea of laughter tracks in sitcoms, some of the best sitcoms ever have them, but LOG managed to achieve the perfect blend of comedy/horror without it. I once knew a friend who was literally too terrified to watch The One-Armed Man is King. That's true comedy.

I fucking love LoG. Comedy written by horror fans that "get" both genres and understand how to blend them perfectly. Ended perfectly with 3 excellent seasons and a movie that gets better every time you watch it.

Series 1 is literally some of the best British TV you will ever see, I'm not even kidding. Series 2 is still really good, but not as much as Series 1. Series 3 was alright, some let downs and predictable endings compared to the last 2 series.
Standout episodes from each series will be:
