His shoting is getting better and he is currently the best player for the Jazz. At least top 10 PG in the league.

you're probably overrating him precisely because you compare his style to that of a midfielder's in football. while the comparison is actually valid, converting Rubio's skill level to that of a midfielder would get you someone like Cazorla rather than a Iniesta or Modric

so basically a useful player but easily replaceable

but he plays defence and cazorla can shoot

apehoop requires every player to play defence though and besides it's hard to find a midfielder nowadays that's only competent at passing so I chose a player whose impact is about the same as Rubio's rather than one with a similar style

if you think cazorla won't do then switch him with fabreglass

You ignoring the wider effect of his terrible shooting though; it means that the team doesn't have to defend him and so every other player on the team can get doubled team. If a player in the NBA has never played in the playoffs, that a pretty bad sign
