i am a conservative and i am ashamed to say that the republicans haven't mounted any sort of coherent defense. honestly the democrats have been doing a good job of connecting the dots and making a fair case. ultimately it will fall upon the judiciary committee to make the call and draft appropriate articles of impeachment for a vote in the full house but these hearings have sufficient basis for at least 3 articles to be drafted and in my opinion win on a vote of impeachment.

The Republicans are making a huge strategical error here. If they let Trump get away with this, they are basically saying that any future Democratic president can do the same. Republican candidates often come from business backgrounds, and so it is far easier to get some business-related dirt on them than on Democrats. So, when Ivanka or Donald Jr or whoever make their presidential run, any Democrat in the White House will have the right to look at every single business deal they've ever made, every tax return they've ever submitted, every foreign oligarch they've ever met and dig up any kind of dirt they can. Not smart.

I find it really hard to understand how people like you make it through life because of your stupidity. the basis of the tax cuts being considered good for the public was that it would stimulate gdp growth at the 3% or 4% level average year over year. that's how I'm theory it pays and that is where people that actually pay attention say well that's a bold prediction. those predictions haven't come true and that is why the deficit is exploding.
