Tandeand Forfang also have a chance

On the small hill? Doubt it t be h,

Eurosport Germany is broadcasting the practice session btw.

Yes, finally it's starting! Highlight of the year for me. Kamil to win, Dawid to finish third!

Why Swedes arent ski jumping ? Norwegians and Finns are amongst the elite but their neughbors are nowhere to be seen

How much longer?

>Finns amongst the elite

i have news for you friend

The trial round has already started. skijumping.pl/live

Actual competition starts in 50m.

Just a little slump, historically they are among the best

A bit worried about the wind, let's hope it calms down a bit before the competition. On this hill, even little wind differences count quite a bit - especially since the wind often comes from the side.

it used to be more popular. Boklöv is one of the pioneers, with his V-style

2,30 m/s headwind right now, Ryoyu with a jump of 105,5m.

They built a huge wind net after last years test competition, which from what i've heard works really well, so i am surprised to see it so windy today.

Guess it's just coming from a bad direction.

Simi using his old shoes again.

I think it was Maciek who mentioned in his interview that strong gusts of side wind are a big problem on this hill, making the first phases of the flight really unstable.

I would vastly prefer light tail wind, if only because then the jumps would come from a bit higher gate. With such low speeds, there's quite large risks of sudden disappearances of wind spoiling a single jumper's competition. If the wind stays pretty stable, it shouldn't affect the field all that much though.

Hayböck's showing convincing jumps again - I'd put him at 5-7, which is really excellent considering his recent form.

106m for Geiger.

Really excellent jump by Stefan Hula! 109m with good head wind.

>109
kamil will jump 115

Let's hope so, a bit of wind lottery desu

Kubacki 104m with weak wind, currently second

chances of wind fucking everything up?

If I were a ski jumper I would wear a meme moustache too

Johansson takes the lead with an excellent jump of 106m.

oh fuck we are winning gold in biathlon right now totally missed that

Congratulation, Dahlmeier had a really excellent competition. Kaisa unfortunately had really bad shooting today.

Wellinger with only 103,5m with quite bad wind!

yeah not amazing by freitag either

hmmm

What a jump by Kamil! 102,5m in really bad wind. If the wind is actually quite stable in the competition, it's looking really good for the Pole. Wellinger and Freitag with good jumps, too.

Anyone placed any bets yet?

I have 50e on Kamil and 50e on Wellinger to win. Also some more random bets like betting on the whole podium (have Kamil, Andi, Richie and Dawid in nearly every combination)

the podium could possibly be all Polish

>betting
>not putting your money into crypto

And That's A Good Thing

Let's goooooo

Ought to be great fun, but I don't think we'll get a medal though.

stream?

Johansson/Forfang could get a cheeky podium if wind interferes, you never know

I wish, but realistically it's Kamil and maybe Dawid. Hoping for all the best for Stefan though

Wellinger to win any medal 4/6. Buying money

The bookies are spooked. Kasai confirmed for gold

There will be more luck / wind factor than actual skill, since the latter already reached the ceiling.

Sure. Always hope in a hanging snore as they say.

Kasai shouldve been DQd in qualifying but got lucky.

if you're in korea just get tickets my dude

rude

>red lights for first jumper

rip in piss

this is gonna take forever

HERE WE GOOOOOOOOOOOOO

watch the Arsenal game and leave the deathjump on in the background

Koreans don't have 4 jumpers do they? No team?

does anyone have a stream?

...

please no more camera memes

Why are Russians not under their own flag ?

Wtf are those comfy things they're sitting in behind the jumper at the top?

>Manlet hill
Ski Flying in Olympics when?

dubs and stoch crashes

USA USA USA

>american ski jumpers

worse than eddie to b h

We'll go ahead and take that gold medal now

Not bad by Janne, but shame he can't show for the same kind of jumps he had in training. Won't be getting his fifth 4th place in normal hill, lol.

Holy shit Ahonen is still competing?

>Janne with the twoface helmet

based

>Harrachov
don't fucking remind me

Because he is still the only reliable Finnish jumper.

lol I was thinking the same thing

meme team

doesn't work

Bolando 1,2 and 3

...

First for Ahonen gold medal

ebin simply ebin

Crazy Larson

Every time I see a webm of old footage I'm scared it's of some guy dying.

This is gold.

Extremely autistic

>no event where they all have to run back up the hill naked

really made me think

>French have a promising young jumper
where did it go so wrong for Czechia and Finland?

...

I think there's more videos of crashes than actual landed jumps from Harrachov.

To advance to the final what they need to achieve?

Top 30.

aka beat 20 other guys

>wind delay

The olympics is the only event where they still jump in this manlet hill

...

yeah its a bit ridiculous

just invest some money and have 250m jumps at the olympics

would get you tons of viewers

Wind will decide the winner today

thx

Has anyone here ever ski jumped before? How is it? Can anyone have a go or do you need to be good at another ski discipline?

>wind

Back to luge I guess

The furthest i jumped on skis was like 15 meters and it spooked me the fuck out.

:^)

Does home made hills from roof count?

boger face bless

Based Bulgarian, noice

good to see Zografski's form going up again

possibly the most horrific sporting moment of all time

god i hate icehockey

We used to be good, a long time ago. I guess we just had trouble finding talent for a while, and then it simply fell out of favor.
Unfortunatly it's very hard to turn that around.
