What did they mean by this?

that would be a skiithon you dolt
biathlon is the word you are looking for

it used to be called duathlon but that was too confusing so they chose another nonsensical name

First 7.5 km classical style then 7.5 km freee style, change of skiis during the race

biathlon without weapon

it's 15 km in each

Do you have a medal candidate Finland?

Was his own fault, he tripped over two Russians, kek.

Good on them for joining in progress instead of tape delaying

You were robbed of at least two gold medals

well...that that worked

yea he tripped himself with his own pole. what a clown

My boy Niskanen at it

how does it feel to live in an area with snow. I am in Southern California so I will never experience it

This Olympics has a wonderful atmosphere about it.

>inb4 the northug championship gold curse strikes again

Snow can be fun but as an adult it mostly just makes your day more difficult

Niskanen turning the skrew

beautiful when it's falling
an inconvenience if you're trying to get somewhere
the worst thing in the world when it's melting and you're walking

Niskanen actually makes this interesting. Nice

>the sound of the ski poles wisping through the cold air

I'm sure if you're a neet who never leaves the house, it's probably comfy af. If you're a wage cuck, it fucking sucks.

Honestly it's annoying mostly

who /mute tvnorge while listening to nrk sport radio/ here?

I was in Denver a few years ago and nearly slipped on ice like 4 times. I assume you guy s wear better shoes with traction when it snows

fun for the first week after that it's a pain in the ass with the cold.

Gaillard pls

>shoveling wet snow

Depends on how much snow you get, if it's alot then it means you can have some fun doing snowmobiling or skiing/snowboarding if you have mountains, if it's not enough than its just an annoyance, it makes driving shitty and even walking a bit awkward.

Being in Vancouver is pretty good for snow.

Very rarely will it snow in the city, and when it does it usually melts within the day (of course there are some exceptions). Instead, we have drivable snow. Just a 30 minute trip north to any of the three north shore ski resorts has metres of snow. And if you want to drive 1.45h north you get to Whistler and the amazing terrain that's there. God I love that mountain.

Nice when it's just a light coat. Anything after is just overkill and leads to .

Shit. I hate w*nter.

I thought it's too expensive to live in Vancouver

Nah you just get used to it. I wear running shoes that literally have no grip anymore and I haven't slipped in years

>drivable snow

clearly not driveable enough. remember that circus from a few months ago? one substantial snowfall and traffic was at a standstill

Not really, I wear same sneakers unless its really cold/wet because Im going to school anyway. Its just a way of walking, cant really explain it.

WINLAND

It is pretty expensive to live in Vancouver.

Why do they take drinks after 7 minutes?

>Swedens skiiers not competing in all white anymore
SD2018 is needed now more than ever

Is this the Death March equivalent for the Winter Olympics? Will I see people keeling over and dying near the final stretch, complete with pants shitting? Or will I be disappointed?

Makes the asthma drugs go down easier

Fair. But that's why I said there are some exceptions. For the most part it's pretty good here. But the city just isn't equipped for snow whatsoever. So whenever it does happen to stay for more than a day, it's fucking chaos.

If it's anything like the women's one I saw last night then no. Nothing happened

Yes it's a ghost town cause no one on the planet can afford to live there

Lotta car campers live there in their Class B mobile homes tho

yea that's a good assessment
i remember during the Olympics it didn't snow once in the city (or if it did, it was gone quick)

tfw my work boot soles have been worn smooth and I have to just shuffle everywhere when I'm at work.

This is twice as long as last night's women's event

that sucks because its one of my favorite areas

god does this looks retarded

It's just awesome that we have a skier like Iivo. It's been a long time since we had a male skier who believes he's the best in the world and who wants to take the lead. Tired of all those sissies we had in the past.

Cologna is going to rob us, isn't he?

why didn't google do a schedule? I liked their layout over bings

He won at the World champs, no?

Damn it's a group already

RIP Kruger

Yes

based niskanen

>Magnificat

Great name

I have been awake for 24 hours now, anyone else with me?

Oh shit Canadian in the lead group

SWEDEN NO

what's with the 3 sets of groves for the skis?

here

>Niskanen, Cologna and 3 norwegians
Godammit norgebros

>doubting klæbo

*Manificat

why? events just started and it was nighttime for you. literally for what purpose?

Yeah, he won last year at Lahti. Also finished 4th individual in Sochi and won the team sprint there. It's been an absolute pleasure to watch him grow as an athlete.

I still believe Cologna will win this and nobody really stands a chance, but really nice still to see that Iivo is in form! Iivo's skating style has improved this season, but it's still not at the same level as the Norwegians or Cologna. Looking mighty fine for the 50km classic, though.

Harvey is one of the favorites and can easily win this

i watched NHL
