I think I finished it.
Did it because cute tummy

>On a scale of 1-100, please rate your satisfaction with the nation's current gun control policies.

that's not bias at all towards people feel gun laws are already to strict. of course im not satisfied but that will be interpreted as wanting more laws. these 'studies' already have their answer, they just need to make up data to support it.

Well they could use your other answers to creat a % of those who would like a less strict gun control

Kinda I mean they did ask about specific policies. I am 100 for mandatory background checks and 0 for all the other drivel they were asking about.

Blacknoise.
Let me just take a wild shot in the dark as to what the consensus will be.
"All americans want less guns and more oppressive gun legislation"

It's a moot point because almost all real gun control the moderate left wants would require a constitutional amendment to inact. Congress can't pass a budget much less hit amendment territory. Also in much of the country guns are not going away or be taken away. The population won't stand for it and the police wouldn't do the leg work for the state.

Come and take them bitches

good observation user, that's not something I would have noticed

The honest truth is most urban Americans probably want more gun control and most rural and exurban probably want less.

Most of the left/right division is really urban/rural. I for one am far left and love my guns for the exact same reasons as the far right. I know for a fact that political power is only secured through the barrel of a rifle. There will be a time when the ballot box fails and that's when it's time to vote with FMJBT in something around .30 calibre.

Ding ding ding. Winner.

>fact
recent shooting data
>opinion
we need more gun control
>fact
x% of people are unsatisfied with current laws
>opinion
this correlation means we all want more laws for some stupid reason
>.t new york times

like i said, they're just trying to find data to support an opinion rather than find data and make meaningful observations after the fact.

Urban areas have extremely tight control on guns already.
They want to force their failed policies on the rest of the country. The areas with much lower gun crime, specifically.
And yeah, sure thing kid. Have fun with ur fmjbt 30 calibre nonsense fighting your play war.

What good would background checks do without registration?

If they pass universal background checks you can bet universal registration will be next.

I wonder what good background checks do when those that fail the backgrounds aren't prosecuted. What percentage of failed background checks were prosecuted under obama/holder?
Less than 1%
Do we me need more legislation or do we need to enforce legislation already passed?

That's why I put in in the middle range personally. I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought of this.

>I am 100 for mandatory defacto registry
ftfy

its the same thing.

Thanks user

Background checks are used when guns change hands. Those checks are not allowed to be electronically listed.
Background checks would be fine if those that failed were prosecuted. They aren't currently.

Answered everything pro gun control

It is just more red meat each side can throw its base to make sure they stay on the plantation. Other examples are culture war BS, abortion, race baiting, etc.

I'm not wanting any more gun control, I have a family to defend same as others. I also will not be moving into an urban area. But thinking there is some kind or left wing monolith backing confiscation of weapons is a myth. Here in Georgia I see plenty of black guys with gun racks in thier pickups. They are out opening day for deer season same as white guys, and they certainly aren't pulling the lever for Republicans. (full metal jacket boat tail BTW, in .308 Winchester and .300 aac blackout)

So if I can't pass a background check, what stops me from having my homie buy me a gun?

Same thing, once again it's Republicans fault that things are failing

Or if I can pass a background check, what stops me from going into business selling to those that can't for a mark up?

>Show peen
That's not my picture user sorry, I just found it on /k/.

I mainly think mandatory background checks are fine mainly because they do nothing for law about citizens besides make you wait about 15 minutes during a transfer. They also have the added benefit of shutting the neoliberal wankers up.
It would be but gun seizure isn't going to happen without a civil war starting. Second it is redundant because trust me if the state ever wants to know who is armed the NSA could tackle that in a second. It's just current political will that is keeping their jackboots off the throat of the average American. I believe that lens will be turned inwards sometime real soon.

So once you scare everyone away from attemping legal purchases buy prosecuting people, wont that just cause more people to use the black market?

Nothing, except now 2 people can be arrested for breaking the law instead of one. Which us why the entire idea is stupid because if criminals want a gun, breaking the law isn't a barrier for entry.

see

I disagree. Abortion and self preservation rights are not the same. Not even in the same ballpark. Self preservation isnt a social issue in the entire middle 2/3rds of the country like abortion.
So there are portions of the right wing clamoring for strick gun legislation?
The vast, vast majority of gun grabbers are on the left. That's a monolith.
Why wouldn't you run OTM or JHP?
Military used FMj because they have to.. you're not military. There are far more effective projectiles. Nice try tho.
300 black is an answer looking for a problem that doesnt exist.
The current law

>NSA could tackle that in a second.
Most, sure no doubt but half if not the majority of my guns have been through private party sales. No clue where the paper trail ended with a specific gun but it didnt end at me. Of course I have since lost everything in a tragic boating accident.

There are more guns in private hands in the US then people. There are probably 30+ billion rounds in private hands.

The gun control ship has already sailed, and sunk. It's just a red meat base issue now.

Eh, I disagree.

You cant sell firearms from an FFL location without and FFL. That's federal.

>t would be but gun seizure isn't going to happen without a civil war starting. They aren't going to go door to door thats true. The problem is once they are registered all they have to do is not allow them to be passed down when people die.

If they can't pass a background check, they're already using the black market and should already be imprisoned...

Fucker. The survey requires an e-mail at the end and personal questions to register. This is nothing but another info fishing site.

Suspicious that a "university" site doesn't have an edu

I feel the same way and most gun owners do. But they can see purchase records from credit cards and other stuff.

I'm not disagreeing with you about the majority of the moderate left trying to outdo each other in a gun control purity spiral. That being said far leftists like Anarchists, many socialists, marxists etc are very pro gun. I for one am a paid member of Redneck Revolt and John Brown Gun Club. I know members of the SRA. That's not even considering rural mainline democrats. Hell even Bernie Sanders considers gun control a states rights issue, which makes sense given how wild and rural Vermont is.

Yes, it is illegal, so is selling drugs. My question is what is going to stop me?

The obvious answer would be registration. Which leads us to my point:

Background checks are worthless without registration.

I wish the gun control advocates would just be honest and call for universal registration instead of trying to hide it as "background checks"

I would assume a lot of guns would go missing. Also not allowing lawful transfer is defacto seizure. In my state the government must issue a CCP after a request and firearms transfers are the same. Not allowing transfers would likewise be a bridge too far for most gun owners

Got it. Democrats and far left wingers are pro gun.

>Fucker. The survey requires an e-mail at the end and personal questions to register.
Just stretch the truth a little user. You can literally be whatever the fuck you want.

>The current law
How would that stop anyone without registration?

Do you really think you can create a huge black market and no one will take advantage?

Registration isnt an option. Prosecution of people breaking current laws is the obvious answer.

have you ever met an individual that takes cards? i'm sure you have but your average armslist meet up or buying something off a buddy will be cash. even so, '$500 debit to joe smith' doesnt mean anything out side of you gave joe money for some reason.

What does that have to do with background checks?

Let me recap:

You: background checks are good
Me: background checks are worthless without registration
You: The gun control ship has already sailed, and sunk. It's just a red meat base issue now.
Me: ???

Stuff isn't as black and white as you think. The real world is messy and even the reddest and bluest counties in the country are only plus 20 for thier respective parties.

When you prosecute straw purchasers, there are less of them on the streets. How do you not understand that.
What they're doing is illegal, and no one gets prosecuted. When you out them in prison, they aren't making straw purchases anymore.

What do you mean its not an option? Some states already have it. Politicians have called for it.

I am trying to understand your position. Do you think universal background checks will do any good without registration?

If the pass background checks do you really think they won't want registration next?

For some reason I cant tell if thats a pines or a really puffy vulva

My point is it is a big nothing burger. Even a national register is a nothing burger because enforcing confiscation would lead to a complete break down of society. Register all you want, where you get shot is when you come and take my gun.
No, but you buy ammo, probably look at guns online, go to the range, buy accessories. Maybe have a bumper sticker or something. You show me a YouTube channel subscription list for someone and I can have a decent chance of ferreting out a gun owner from a non.

And how do you prosecute straw purchasers? Sure would be a lot easier if you could just run the serial number on the bad guys gun and see who bought it for him. Of course that requires registration. You really think they won't push for that next?

It's a dick. You are on Sup Forums

I've been all over this country. You sit me in front of a San franciscian and a Texan, I can tell in about 2 seconds. Democrats push for gun legislation, Republicans generally dont. Seems pretty black and white to me.
I've met almost no conservatives that deem it necessary to disarm the entire population. I'll let you guess which side I've heard that from hundreds of times.

>pines

Attached: pines serveimage.jpg (1300x863, 428K)

Straw purchasers are prosecuted when they are caught.

The people who aren't prosecuted are the people who attempt to buy a gun and fail the background check. Most of the time they don't even know they are prohibited.

If you start prosecuting people for trying to buy a gun and failing, they will stop trying to buy them legally and go straight to illegal sellers if they even think they might be prohibited.

>No such rule or regulation prescribed after the date of the enactment of the Firearms Owners’ Protection Act may require that records required to be maintained under this chapter or any portion of the contents of such records, be recorded at or transferred to a facility owned, managed, or controlled by the United States or any State or any political subdivision thereof, nor that any system of registration of firearms, firearms owners, or firearms transactions or dispositions be established. Nothing in this section expands or restricts the Secretary’s[1] authority to inquire into the disposition of any firearm in the course of a criminal investigation.

-FOPA of 1986

basically its illegal to make a registry and we just trust them not to do that lolz. part of not requiring background checks for some (private party on a federal level in this case) is to not create the paper work to start a registry in the first place and keep in mind this is all pre internet when buying guns from a rando was done at gun shows.

Maybe if they went door to door. They will do it incrementally. One type at a time. They won't come and take them. They will simply not allow your children to register it after you die. The children will either turn them in for hide them and never take them out for fear of catching a felony.

Already did using facts and logic

.30 is for fags, use 7.62

I haven't heard any candidate saying they are going to disarm the population. Even in San Francisco 30% of people are conservative. Even in Texas hill country 30% of people are liberal. You can vote for a party without agreeing to its whole platform.

Registry is the first step to confiscations

Background checks are a bullshit excuse to stop people from exercising their rights. If the left is correct and people can come back from gang violence, then they would be fully opposed to background checks.

This isn't going to last another decade much less a generation
Why not both? Seriously .300 blackout and 7.62x39 are basically identical ballisticly. Though I do prefer the look and feel of a nice AKM. The AR 15 tacticool aesthetic isn't my thing.

Confiscations are the first step to regime change

It's beyond Democrat and Republican. At this point, it's statists against the people.

And the right would let them vote

This. It is the plutocrats playing every one of one another to keep power. Directory of Thermidor. They can give some now peacefully or end up against the wall at gun point later.

Honestly if that shit starts it's going to be really interesting to see how fast 3d printing starts to evolve.

>For some reason I cant tell if thats a pines or a really puffy vulva
Who cares, it's cute, feminine, and needs to be bent over and fucked.

>use 7.62
>not using .338 Lapua instead
If your not using the bare minium for anti vehicle firepower than you might as well being playing with an air soft gun.
