A job posted higher pay then they offered post-interview. Is there anyway I can sue or get back at them for a blatant lie in their job posting?

Did you get the job?

Also the answer is no, dumbass.

Fucking millenial

>How dare you complain about false advertising, fuck you goy, let me take advantage of you
Yeah jew, now fuck off

It sounds more of a salary commensurate with experience situation.
I’m guessing you lied on your resume anyway.

Why are you telling Sup Forums? Why didn't you show any backbone and tell them what you're telling us? Being a gulliable sucker is a crime as much as suckering people is. And sueing? Fight your own damned fight. What a wuss.

And how do you know that they weren't offering you less for a good reason? For example, you're not exactly what they want, or you're missing something that they'll bother to teach you if you settle for less or they have better candidates in their pool but will take you if you take less. But you wouldn't know because you didn't ask.

Game or get gamed, twink. And don't even run that "that's why we need socialism" noise. Try living in Detroit or New York. You'd be dismantled the moment they smelled your guillible cunt.

if you didn't even get an offer what the fuck is it to you?

Lying on a resume, cover letter, or job application isn't technically illegal. These forms aren't legal documents, so usually you can't get prosecuted for lying on them. However, if you falsify documents that “back up” claims of educational history, for example, that could be grounds for trouble with the law.

1st im not OP
2nd to some job interviews I've been to they did the same shit even tho my cv matched their requirements
They gave me shit like
>Yeah well 1st 6 months it will be .. bla bla.. but than.. bla bla..
Nigga you said 40k not 40k after half a year

I must agree, faggots unable to speak their mind should die.

Pretty standard probationary period.

Do you have the original job posting?
I’m a lawfag, I can give it a look.
Also more details would be helpful.

Yea the point was I got the job and they offered several dollars less an hour then advertised

Than fucking mention it before i get to see your stupid face mentioning it during a fucking interview.
You post a fucking advert, you can use one more fucking line to say it.

>likely a boomer business owner abusing his workers

Nope it was advertised with starting pay as a higher value then they offered once I had been selected for the job. I have a better paying job then their lowered offer so they just wasted a ton of my fucking time

Blame it on Trump or your parents.
It's what all you millennials do anyway.

I'm looking for it but they seem to have taken it down. gonna check my files

Millennials get blamed for absolutely everything

Why didn’t you demand the advertised pay?

There's a million good reasons why

Cause he is a cuck afraid of speaking his mind, that's why.

Tell than that. If you got offered the job, but don't want it at the conditions offered, you turn down the offer and return a counter offer.

I obviously did. They said they were offering that higher salary and nothing else.
The point is they advertised different than the offer.
I'm looking for anything I can do about it, not retards calling me a cuck for wanting my portion

No because it was probably for a position higher than the one you got. The position was probably already filled but they used it as an example of the money you could earn not what you would earn.

IDC about your opinion I just want to know what I could do in this scenario

then gtfo

OP is a bitch

cuck

Yes companies pull this bullshit all the time with probationary periods and bait and switch of "that particular job is non longer available but we still have lower pay openings" Unfortunately Capital has your balls in a sling and anything you do would just cost you more time for no result. Sucks I know. Best you can do is in future call HR and directly confirm no probationary period before submitting resume etc.

Lawfag again, so you’re hoping to sue somebody and you don’t even have the original document in which you’re claiming they falsely advertised?

Did you take the job?

That’s pretty much what interviews are is a time to discuss these type of matters.

The point is to negotiate. If you're valuable, then you should be able to negotiate. Furthermore, cite the average someone with your experience in a relevant field makes, and find a middle ground.
For example: I applied to a job where they're offering 25 to 30 per hour. My lowest I'll go is 27. They offered 25, I specified that they stated a range from 25 to 30, and also reiterated my available skills (if they're offering you an amount, it means they want you, so negotiate). I then said 28, and they offered 26. I asked for 27, and they accepted.

Just because you exist doesn't mean you're entitled to a job. Also, just because you won't negotiate (or isn't willing to leave if you feel you're not paid enough) is not their fault, it's yours.

Do you know why women complain about getting paid less? Other than factors like they take more vacation, work less hours, and are on leave for other things (pregnancy, etc), it's because they choose not to acknowledge their own worth and negotiate pay.

Accept the job. Gain experience and skills. Then when you reapply for a different job, ask for higher pay.

You niggers act like jobs with lots of money should be handed to you without you having to do anything for it.

for all you illiterates:
I'm asking what to do about a false job posting that showed more money than they were hiring for.
THIS IS NOT ABOUT JOB EXPERIENCE, OR PAY OR ANY OTHER BOOMER LOGIC BULLSHIT.
if you got anything helpful for it let me know if posting a false amount for pay is illegal or not

Here's what you can do: Quit if you're unhappy. You can sue anyone for any reason you want, but 99% of the reasons for suing aren't worth taking to court...
JUST LIKE YOUR BULLSHIT HERE!

They're not monitored by OSHA or something. There is no standard for pay. They offer. You accept or deny. Deal with it you tit leech.

No its not if you have the potential to make that amount of money after x amount of time. Doesn't matter if x is 3 months or 20 years. If anyone at the company with that job title makes that amount of money they can get away with it. They can say probation period or experience level to justify. Yes you have been dicked. Rub your ass and move on or lube up and try for a second helping.

You don’t have any proof so the point is moot. You come across as a complete fuck up who will most likely get fired from any job you get anyway.
