Pretty sure that thing is supposed to be a Chinese Crested. It's an actual dog breed. The real live ones are horrible looking in person and I don't know why the Chinese would breed a helpless animal to look like that. They make a weird shaking/twitching motion as they walk, too, not from training (e.g., "Tennessee walking horses" are tortured and trained to give them their distinctive gait by putting an irritant on their legs so they'll shake them as they move) but because they've been inbred so badly that their limbs and joints are all fucked up.
