Only the redditors. Literally

>be Australian
>went to the movies to see Star Wars episode 3
>everyone is excited, some people even brought lightsabers and shit
>clapping and cheering throughout the movie
>my friend I went to see the movie with even gave the movie a standing applause when it was over

I don't think it's just the Americans.

I've never seen it happen

This is staged, right?

pls be fake

Yes. Fucking retards clap at everything too. At the end, when a character shows up. When some action scene occurs.

me on the left

fucking a

people are conditioned to clap if other people start doing it in the right circumstances

get a group of 10 or so friends, you all go off to a movie, when the movie's over you start clapping (not at all once though that ruins the illusion, just slowly building a crescendo).

if you live in the anglosphere this works every time.

americans just do it way more often is all.

Went and saw Your Name last night and people clapped at the end. I understand that as a natural reaction to a really good movie though. Still lold when half the theater did it tho

I don't understand it as a reaction to seeing a good movie. If the cast is around, applaud their work, sure. But clapping because you just enjoyed something is pretty weird.

>But clapping because you just enjoyed something is pretty weird

>he doesn't clap after jerking off

Do my balls slapping against me count as clapping?

>I understand that as a natural reaction to a really good movie though.
Then why did my entire fucking theater clap at Godzilla 2014?

Trump needs to bring back the draft.
Especially now that women have to join too.

>people are conditioned to clap if other people start doing it in the right circumstances

People are conditioned to do anything if they feel pressure from those around them. Individual thinkers like me look down on you animals

>Individual thinkers like me look down on you animals

>be Australian
>go to see Robin Hood in the 90s with KC
>amazing for back then
>credits role everyone claps
>amidreaming.gif

>the guy in the back not even watching the tv

Only when they're not being slaughtered in a mass shooting yes

That's when we clap

Liar, Sup Forums wouldn't just say that. Those were Americlaps amongst you

Since you're probably mostly Europeans and Australians, I thought I'd share my experience as a real American (Texan). Ever since I started browsing Sup Forums I became highly aware when anyone clapped at the theater.

I would say it breaks down like this
>Midnight release
Guaranteed round of applause, screams, cheering, possible crying.
>"Prime Time" movie hours
3% chance of each individual clapping, so in a theater of 200-300 you have 6-9 clappers.
>Matinee
0% chance of clapping
