Sup Forums is doing a pretty good job of proving this meme, can Sup Forums do any better?

You base your political stance on memes?

Jesus fucking Christ, America. Will you please get your liberal problem under control?

What, no mention of meme magic? Fuck off to Sup Forums faggot

Googled what thing? Either you understand it, or you don't. Pretend it isn't in meme form.

>concerted social engineering effort
So? That's all politicians, salesmen, or anyone who wants you on their side. Try again.

>The Dunning–Kruger effect is a cognitive bias in which relatively unskilled individuals suffer from illusory superiority, mistakenly assessing their ability to be much higher than it really is.
Oh ok so it's just a "If you vote trump you're a dumb dumb" post.

>Trump
>supported on social media

pick one

bingo

>using the principle of the Dunning-Kruger effect
Nobody knows what that means because it's nonsense

It's hard when kids are taught this bullshit from an early age.

>People actually believing this shit

I don't know what that stupid Jewish so-called "principle" is, but I can say with authority that Donald Trump is a better choice than Hillary Clinton.

Hillary Clinton has shown herself to be a legitimate traitor, selling American uranium and other assets and influence for Clinton Foundation donations, as well as too incompetent to do her job, or even use a classified system in the manner it is supposed to be used.

Donald Trump is how we are going to Make America Great Again. Furthermore, I honestly believe Hillary Clinton will be charged with perjury for lying to congress about her emails, and therefore become ineligible to become president.

Might as well post a "2015 Anglo man" video and say "Sup Forums BTFO".

>mispelled words
>big scary words mean you're stupid if you vote for trump

fuck off bait poster the Dunning Kruger Effect isn't Trumps doing, in fact I'd liken that shit more to the left with all their pseudo intellectuals.

Voting isn't a skill you fucking retard. Go back to your community college's psych 101 course

didnt clinton get funding from the saudis. the saudis who funded 9/11

K.. KEEP ME POSTED

>Oh ok so it's just a "If you vote trump you're a dumb dumb" post.
Your oversimplification of the meaning of a small part of the meme, and your copy pasting from Google sorta helps prove the meme.

>I dunno wut it means, so Google.

>Sup Forumstard getting mad at others for getting their political stance from memes

>Leftists
>Talking about Dunning Kruger

:^)

You are the most unskilled and conceited group in any society, and everyone knows it. I'm pretty sure you couldn't change a lamp if your life depended on it.

This falls under the logcal fallacy of name calling and insults.

Easy.

>
>>Sup Forumstard getting mad at others for getting their political stance from memes
My guess is that you understand completely.

The meme isn't really anti-Trump, or was not supposed to be. It's just an observation.

>2016
>he thinks knowledge and intelligence are the same thing

Canada is right.

>you're a dumb dumb
Not an argument. Get the fuck off my board, Paco.

REALLY MADE ME THINK
I'M A SHILL FOR HILL NOW
IT'S 2016
saged for low quality bait

My god is that meme retarded.

"Using the principle of the Dunning-Kruger effect"

That makes as much sense as ending it

"Using the principle of the photoelectric effect"

Both are entirely non-applicable to what it's trying to say. Ironically whoever created and supports that meme is exhibiting the Dunning-Kruger effect, they think they're much smarter than they actually are.

Trump's supporters don't claim to support him based on superiority, but because they like his character/policy.

That meme is some next level stupidity.

social media worked well for bernie

Even in the highest levels of academic discussion and publications sources have to be cited for people to look them up and grasp every detail.

Your poor grasp at how intellectual discussions work is not something you should be proud of.

In the very least, Trump voters are going for a candidate that reflects their belief. Clinton voters have extreme cognitive dissonances I would love to point out if you care to reply to this post.

Whoa

My brain is really think.

I'm now a #HillDrill

>Making fun of someone for looking up something they don't know
>Implying everyone should just innately know all aspects of social science

You're an arrogant retard.

the Mexican "intellectual" who created this sure had his very own Dunning-Kruger moment
i am #MentallyHill now

It's a meme. It's a gigantic oversimplification of what's been happening that has allowed Trump to get the nomination. It has nothing to do about Hillary or the other candidates at this point.

I agree that Trump voters are "going for a candidate that reflects their belief," but the problem is that the support began at the left (of the bell curve), is being perpetuated and fueled via mass media and social media for various reasons. All candidates have their own baggage, but in any other election up until now (at least in the U.S.), a candidate that says, does, thinks and writes what Trump has, would never have made it half-way through the primaries.

wtf i just got btfo'd, i am now a #cruzmissile.

You and most of the "political experts" out there still seem to be unaware that your society can be angry at the current state of affairs, and would vote on a candidate with more conservative/extreme views, by their own volition.

Not everyone likes diversity and all that, but they could go for most of their lives without thinking too much about this. Add in some #BlackLivesMatter, some ISIS threats, terrorist attacks internationally and nationally, and you now have a person who is willing to vote for Trump.

What you seem to be crying about is that politicians use social media to promote themselves. If this was a couple years ago would you complain they use TV to promote themselves? Radio? Cars with loud speakers?

You are effortfully restating the lies that Trump supportersare stupid, that education is intelligence, and that Trump is somehow illegitimate in a way that the Saudi puppets, neocons and banksters are not.
You don't really have a point, do you?

Once again you pretend to be smarter than you actually are.

You miss a singularly important factor that led Trump to be where he is, and that is decades in the media spotlight. That is his years on the apprentice.

He's treated this whole campaign like a reality TV show, because it essentially is. His already large fanbase as well as experience in making entertaining television is probably the most important reason why he's gotten so far.

But you can't even recognize that on your own.

Pretty true.

>consume only leftist and mainstream media
>dont even bother with keeping yourself up to date or getting more in-depth knowledge because TV is enough
>get all your confidence from having the same opinion as everybody else in your social bubble
>call others ignorant and lose your shit over differing opinions

not even mad, just depressed.

GEEZ OH MAN YOU GUYS
WOW, THIS IS JUST NUTS
I MEAN, IT'S CRAZY HOW MUCH THIS MADE ME THINK

The leaf gets it

I'm not crying, I'm just making an observation. You can't even say anything half-in-jest on Sup Forums and not be demonized by anonymous users, but Trump is fully able to do or say anything he wants, and has been for months. There are people being fired for saying similar things, people being ostracized, people being slandered, but he just keeps getting away with it.

Not saying I care or am offended by him, I just find it extremely profound that he's still around. I sorta wanna be like him when I grow up, sorta.

Seems like you understand the point of the meme. Thanks, one of the better explanations (though incomplete) that I've seen. Congrats.

>gif
>2016

because where is the difference between a naive academic like obama winning the presidency on oratorical talent and abstractly charming behaviour in debates and Trump just doing his thing and getting people to vote for him using equally superficial talents?

>There are people being fired for saying similar things, people being ostracized, people being slandered, but he just keeps getting away with it.

This all applies to Hillary as well. She lies about being under sniper fire, gets away with it. Brian Williams mixes up a few details and nearly loses his job.

She does a bunch of shit that other people would be indicted or at least punished for, she gets off scott free.

Seems Hillary gets away with more.

>because where is the difference

Obama had the media shilling for him and making him look better than he actually is.

Trump has the media shilling against him and trying to make him look bad, and Trump still beats them.

Sup Forums and Sup Forums created meme magic.

Sup Forums is recycling garbage memes that /s4s/ doesn't want anymore.

He is skilled in playing with people's anger. The fact you see this is already a point against Dunning Kruger.

The other candidates are only still there because of the Establishment. There is literally no reason for Hillary not to be under judgement and out of the race right now besides being the establishment choice, and "omg guyse can you imagine having a female president XDDD".

But the difference is, Hillary is a career politician, acting no different than she (and most other politicians) have for years. Trump basically has no qualifications or previous knowledge of anything having to do with running any country, other than experience in business. Which can't be discounted as useless, but should not be given more importance than it deserves.

I feel like I'm not moronic enough to understand what this meme means since it essentially is nonsensical. Guess I've already lost.

So he can't be a president because he trusts too much in the ability of others to make good choices, such as the whole democratic party?

Okay, I can live with that.

Can we copy this meme and put Hillary in it instead?

We have better Hillary memes, we don't need to try to steal this idiotic one. As I said earlier this thread, it's not even using the Dunning-Kruger effect correctly, it's basically gibberish trying to sound smart. If anything I would say it was made to highlight how stupid people against Trump are that they share this meme without understanding the Dunning-Kruger effect.

...

I think that meme is a projection.
There are an awful lot of liberals who believe that they know what's best for the world

rlly mks u thnk

No true Scotsman and the emperors new clothes all wrapped up in one?
What a spicey pic

...

I'm voting for him because Hillary Clinton is a bitch and I couldn't stand another four years of a weak pandering president that inadvertently preaches against me and people like me

> (OP)
>I think that meme is a projection.
>There are an awful lot of liberals who believe that they know what's best for the world
Bernie almost pulled it off on the left, but he was far far away from what Trump is achieving at this point.

Imagine a full blown Communist with views as far left as Trumps are to the right. See?

By this logic, Stephen Hawking and Einstein were retarded because they knew they were intellectually superior to everyone else and didn't doubt themselves.

>Dunning-Kruger effect.

I see this shit pushed on Reddit since I begun to play Dota 2.
Years after I stopped using both these retards keep pushing thinking that makes them looking intelectual when they just are delusionnal smart asses that nobody want to fuck.

Oh boy, there's a lot of faux intellectual baggage to unpack here
>The only reason Trump is still in the race is because of a concerted social engineering effort
Wow, that's a pretty big claim (for you), I would be very interested to hear who is behind this and what they believe will be the benefits. It seems to me that most of the political establishment would rather Trump never got close to the whitehouse.
>achieved largely via social media
yes social media has become very important in modern society but you're still really overestimating the power over popular culture and modern life it actually has. Also most people who actively and regularly use social media are anti-Trump, yes a lot of them may actually support Trump as the silent majority is very much on his side but the consensus one would see at a glance at any mainstream social media platform would be that Trump is a terrible person and should not become president.
>using the principle of the Dunning-Kruger effect
I'm just going to assume you got the wrong effect here, because if you did mean this one you're effectively saying that people who vote for Trump are doing so because they think of themselves as better at what they do than they actually are, and that this attitude they hold was created by to much time on twitter. If you said that most Trump voters suffered from this effect I could accept it as a cheeky jab saying Trump voters are unintelligent, but to say that this is why they vote the way they do is ironically an example of the Dunning-Kruger Effect. You're think you're much more intelligent than you are, but your incorrect use of language you think makes you sound clever only shows how stupid you really are.
8/10 I put way more time into replying than I should have

>I dunno wut it means, so Google.
did you just make fun of the concept of learning? you're a retard.

>but in any other election after 1963 (at least in the U.S.), a candidate that says, does, thinks and writes what Trump has, would never have made it half-way through the primaries.
fixed. There's nothing wrong with putting America's interests first

All these fallacies and effects are always just reddit-tier cop outs and really need to stop being used

I don't know why people think politics is some hard job you need to be super skilled at. What do you do in politics? You meet important people, negotiate deals, and make decisions.

Now tell me, as a businessman, what has trump done his entire life?

>understand dunning Kruger
>still support trump
I guess I am a liar.

Oh fug I support Hillary now

>open the borders
>bring in 5x more Muslims
>castrate all white males
>make sure my wife gets impregnated by a BBC

B-b-b-but, he isn't a career politician!!!

I don't pretend to be amazingly clever, but you have to look at the statistics behind each of the points that trump is making.

Do you disagree with the fact that the outsourcing of manufacturing has resulted in massive unemployment in the rust belt and midwest?

Do you disagree with the fact that illegal immigration and an unsecured border has allowed criminals and drugs to get into the USA?

Do you disagree with the assertion that the USA needs to get rid of trade deals that negatively impact their business and worker base?

Do you disagree with the fact that black people commit a disproportional amount of crime compared to their true numbers?

I agree with your sentiment but do not say politics is easy. Politics is a literal arena of people competing to be the most powerful person in the world, in America. Trump is suited for the task BECAUSE it is so difficult, only he can do it.

Let's see the proof then.

Seeing as nobody here has yet to give a concise answer on the meme in question, I guess I have to debunk it.
>lel trump is using dunning kruger.
Yes he is.
>lel if you say you still support trump ur a liar hahahahaha.
What this meme has done is effectively gotten rid of the 1 argument that would have effectively destroyed this argument/meme. I'm going to choose to ignore this tid bit because the only reason it's there is to mindfuck and shoot down any counter to the meme/arument.

Now let me masturbate to my anime porn you fucking mongrel.

This

I know it's not easy, I just meant so difficult in the sense trump is out of his league. It's essentially the same thing he's done through growing his businesses. Meet people, negotiate, make decisions. There's not much to it outside of that and press conferences*

*unless you're Hillary Clinton

I think OP demonstrates this effect but I think that was his intention.

Actually, it's due to the Actor–observer asymmetry phenomena and acute Anosognosia in college educated liberals.

College education these days provides a self-serving bias where people who paid to get taught the right opinions for 4 years believe themselves to be superior to those who didn't waste a small fortune on an underwater basket weaving degree and learned a proper trade or entered the workforce immediately because real work experience is worth 2:1 what education is.

Dunning-Kruger effect is the inability for people to understand their ignorance and how it affects their support and interpretation of choices. This dynamic is what let those ignorant feel more confident in their understanding of things than those with expert domain knowledge. Trump is not a politico, he made a lot of small mistakes in his understanding of american government (more than what any sophomore political science student would make).

Wtf, I hate Trump now.

I am now #MentallyHill

> (OP)
>By this logic, Stephen Hawking and Einstein were retarded because they knew they were intellectually superior to everyone else and didn't doubt themselves.
So you don't understand. It's OK.

>Switch meme from Trump to Bernie.
>sit back and kek

eh, you're sorta understanding it. The political establishment has little (probably nothing) to do with the social engineering that's driving this.

I applaud you for actually trying to think. But think more money and less politics.

There is no difference. Both aren't exactly pillars of competency, but here is the catch everyone in pol seem to forget. politicians pass laws those laws are implemented by technocrats. technocrats also supply research and insights for the politicians. The US has huge infrastructure to study and understand their economy, global place in the world, threats of all sorts. Presidents and politicans are provided with briefs, and just make a decision.

more like dunning-nigger effect

>paid to be taught the right opinion
>posted by someone who never attended college

no.... son, college doesn't teach you that. maybe community college does, but university in the humanities departments is about the sophistry that the 'defoo' man is all about.

nice job not understanding the Dunning Krueger effect

Are you choosing Hillary over Trump?

You do know he is the only one speaking about borders right?

Dunning-Kruger is about people over estimating or under estimating their own skills... what does that have to do with people who support Trump?
