Childhood is idolizing Howard Stern, adulthood is realizing Joe Rogan makes more since

Childhood is idolizing Howard Stern, adulthood is realizing Joe Rogan makes more since.

I have no respect for any grown man with any interest in MMA.

>makes more since.
-Dec 15, 2015 - Howard Stern has signed a new contract with SiriusXM, ending ... that Stern will make $90 million a year in salary, up from $80 million

- “Joe” Rogan is a notable comedian, martial arts specialist, commentator and actor with a net worth of $23 million.

EGGS, FRESH FROM YARD

How do I achieve Roganmode? He's 5'8" 190 and right now I'm 5'11 190 but I can't seem to get any heavier without getting flabby looking. All I'm really doing for exercise at the moment is kind of a mix of push/pull/legs and stronglifts 5x5 with occasional hiking mixed in.

Opie, Anthony, and Jim were right. Joe isn't even funny.

why do nerds hate mma so much?

I think adulthood is realizing this isn't related to television or film

nerds love MMA, it's their core fanbase

Does Joe get paid from his podcast in some way, or is it just something he does in his free time for fun?

>when you're a stand up comedian and stand up comedy is the least notable thing you do

>Stern will make $90 million a year
Fucking how.

>Joe Rogan makes more since.
Since when, tho?

he gets those huge youtube bux

Stern still has a massive following man. Yeah podcasting is taking over from traditional radio but you'd be surprised at how many people don't really understand it.

Childhood is listening to Joe Rogan.

Adulthood is listening to Jimmy Pardo drone on and on about inane dad shit.

Stern is an industry where there are no "up and comers". Actors, actresses, comedians, newspeople, musicians, etc can all be "replaced". No one goes into radio anymore so Howard is the only star on the market.

Get on steroids. He's on test at least. If you're natty, you gotta make that jump and leave humanity behind. Don't be afraid to take four scoops too

He has sponsors that presumably pay him. No idea how much though, but he has a fairly broad listerning base relative to most other podcasters

>Stern still has a massive following man

I wish this were the case.

When I was growing up Howard was everywhere. People talked about what he said, what he did. They loved him. They hated him. Now it's "oh, he's still on the air?"

adulthood is realizing that Jamie does all the work

How many people really pay $20 a month for radio?

I'm more surprised SiriusXM can shell out that kind of money.

>He has sponsors that presumably pay him.
Really? I guess I've never listened far enough into a podcast to hear about sponsors.

Did they ever say this?

Can a 200lb chimp do this?

I'm telling you, you'd be shocked out how big his listener base still is. Obviously the numbers aren't as big on subscription based satellite radio compared to when he was on free syndicated terrestrial radio in the 90s and was at peak popularity but still.

I listen to a lot of podcasts but satellite radio is worth it imo. I got a year free when I got a new car and was hooked.

>he doesn't set it on auto-pay and forget it

Has anyone addressed Joe Rogan's strange interest in Bailey Jay, who is apparently a transsexual pornstar? I've listened/watched a few of his podcasts where he talks politics, inevitably trannies come up, and then Rogan always says "what about Bailey Jay? God she's hot?". It's a bit weird.

I think Rogan makes money from advertisers, just like most people with big youtube channels. He's also got his own sponsors.

But I don't think he touches Howard Stern, who's casually known in pop culture. If you say "I was listening to Joe Rogan", most of the time people will ask you who that is. The same isn't true for Stern, who basically everyone knows even if they don't listen to his show.

>those comments

Howard Stern is the main reason that Sirius XM got to be successful with millions of listeners. The only reason I'd ever get sirius is for Stern, but I don't like the idea of paying $20 a month just for him.

This

joe rogan fans... explains his reach.

...

He's something like the 8th most downloaded podcast in the world, if you mentioned him to a male under 40 who probably likes comedy there's a good chance they're familiar with him

>Has anyone addressed Joe Rogan's strange interest in Bailey Jay
Bailey is quite popular and Joe knows people that know her like Jim Norton. Bailey Jay is really popular among certain comedians too.

Everybody knows who Joe Rogan is you dipshit. I know you were still in diapers back then but Fear Factor was a pretty big deal, and MMA was red hot a few years ago, everybody knows him from those two things, if not more.

Rogan probably makes a few million a year off his podcast (he also owns part of Onnit, which he advertises at the beginning of each episode).

Bailey Jay is a woman and you're gay if you're a man and not attracted to her

Stern lost a lot of people transitioning from free radio to satellite, but he still has the largest listener base there. I've heard a few times that he basically keeps SiriusXM afloat.

I don't know man. I heard a guy listening to the podcast while he was taking a shit. Can you say the same for Stern? Seriously though, my mom instantly recognized him when she saw him, and I'm sure a ton of younger people know him now because of the podcast. And BJ is clearly a tranny
