Marvel

The Marvel cinematic universe is for kids. It's decent entertainment, but it's just so tame and safe. I'm not being challenged by these movies.

The only one that felt like a real movie was the first Thor movie.

But comic books are for kids, so what's the problem?

Thrilling insight.

>But comic books are for kids, so what's the problem?

Kids haven't read comic books since social media, youtube and internet porn took off.

>The only one that felt like a real movie was the first Thor movie.

What? Why?

I've seen more blood in Marvel movies than in the DC ones. Not only because in DC it's raining and it's night almost always, but because Marvel heroes tend to be more of a jobbers whereas DC's are kinda godlike and therefore boring.

...

I can already hear this guy giving out all the reasons he doesn't have a facebook

>kino

Yes, that's true. But most other capeshit can pass as entertainment for adults. The Dark Knight works as a movie for both adults and maybe kids too.

I feel like I'm not really supposed to watch Marvel movies. I can't be part of the target audience as a man in my thirties. I would probably have loved these movies when I was 10.

>I can already hear this guy giving out all the reasons he doesn't have a facebook

You've misunderstood my comment. To a kid comic books seem boring compared to the many fruits of the internet.

Also, Kids like superheros, but modern comics have rambling storylines and bizarre takes on iconic characters, for example currently comicbook Thor is a woman, until a few years ago Spider-man was a Dominican boy etc

The Marvel movies on the other hand offer simplified, fast-paced adaptations of popular comic storylines

Drama, character development etc.

>character development

What character development?

Did you miss the part where Thor starts the movie brash and arrogant and trying to instigate a war but ends the movie more mature and tying to prevent it?

>dude another company wars thread lmao
Marvel movies are great. You are just asking for the pasta.
Someone give this fedora tipping "Fun is bad" neckbeard the pasta

>Did you miss the part where Thor starts the movie brash and arrogant and trying to instigate a war but ends the movie more mature and tying to prevent it?

I didn't miss it when I watched it, but I'm tired and distracted and didn't think before I posted ;^)

I'm not interested in a company war.
For the record, TDKR is by far the worst capeshit I've ever seen. The worst Marvel movie (The Incredible Hulk, 2008) was much better than TDKR.

Wow marvel movie aren't "challenging" you? You must be really intellectual.

That's not the first movie dipshit

All because of one night with Natalie portman? Lol yea that character "development " over the course of a few days was more unearned and unbelievable than him flying with his hammer

This is what happens. OP makes the thread and leaves without answering any questions. This is how you can tell this is a bait thread. Like most breads criticizing Marvel Movies.

I mean , it is owned by Disney. Plus these movies are tailored for both adults and kids. More or less, they're meant as a bonding tool in my eyes bud idk.

I have posted several times in this thread.

By the way, welcome to the real Sup Forums! You're probably from Sup Forums so you're used to having IDs. The real Sup Forums doesn't have IDs so you can't really know who's who in a thread. That's just how it is.

Ultron should have stayed a fucked up pile of metal and wires, he should have been a self-compiled mass of different parts. Musclebot looked so fucking boring, he was actually pretty creeps as a fucked up frankenbot.

They're not supposed to be challenging films.

Pretty much
I would have absolutely zero problems with the MCU if everyone acknowledged that it's just kid's entertainment with high budget CGI. The problem comes when someone tries to tell me that this shit is what a real movie is, and when there's a massive contingent of people who buy into that, thereby making all of this trash extraordinarily profitable and taking the film industry to new lows

>be me
>be 10 when Iron Man gets released in 2008
>get to genuinely enjoy the first 3 phases of the MCU through my late childhood and whole adolescence with my buddies

it's been a hell of a ride desu m8

>People born in 98 can legally post on Sup Forums now
