What is the best argument against "racism=prejudice+power?"

What is the best argument against "racism=prejudice+power?"

the dictionary

i'd have to go with

it's the belief that all members of each race possess characteristics or abilities specific to that race, especially so as to distinguish it as inferior or superior to another race or races.

or just you're a fucking retard

first post best post

I think what they're really trying to say is "racism against nonwhite people is actually harmful, whereas it isn't against white people."

digits confirm

Being treated equally does not mean everyone is going to be treated fairly.

You have equally or you have fairness, you almost never have both.

white people can be niggers too, its not about skin color

"You=dozy+twat"

I'd say the disproportional rates of suicide for White people would beg to differ.

>implying black people don't have institutional power

no what theyre trying to do is having a freepass at being racist

That said, being harmful or not has nothing to do with racism or its definition. It's also false to think that whites arent hurt by racism. Some are some arent.... just like minorities.

I know it hurt me deeply.

Because they think white people are better.

Until they amend the dictionary definition of racism, which was written by racist white privileged males. :^)

a length of rope?

What they are actually saying is that "all these things that I would be going ballistic about were they directed in the other direction are fine when directed at whites because something something patriarchy colonialism slavery".

Ask them to define "power" and go from there

99% of leftist arguments can be dismantled if you ask them what the definitions of the buzzwords they use are

>using something written by a bunch of old white men as your reasoning

ok

It would mean that only about 5% of the entire planet's population could ever be racist, because they're the only people who hold meaningful amounts of power as individuals. The current definition of discriminatory behavior against individuals based on race/ethnicity is perfectly usable and less subject to the injection of ideological bias.

Nah you have to realise though that Obama is oppressed by the white man. If he was white he would have gone much further that he did - President of the galaxy at least.

Tell that to white people in nonwhite countries or white individuals in nonwhite communities.

>using a racist argument to support your thesis to change the definition of racism

top kek

>Using the genetic fallacy as your reasoning

ok

So when Hispanic people hate black people because of their race, it's not racism?

Why not use a dictionary written in an Asian language, then? Their definition of racism is the same as the white one.

I think they crafted some sort of oppression hierarchy to deal with questions like that.

When it happens to PoC, it's racism. When it happens to whites, it's justice.

"It's not"

Morally, there is no difference betweend "did it" and "would have done it given means", since the staate of mind is there and outside factors prevented it.

Also, ask them "what "power" are we talking about?".

> Arguing with lefties

Just throw insults at them, it's an exercise in futility trying to break through the marcusian brain damage they suffer from.

A utilitarian somewhere just puked

Tell them they're confusing racism with oppressive bigotry. It'll throw them for a loop, and you could also mention that racism is a marxist construct. They can't argue their way out of that because trotsky really did make the word up, even socialists admit it but will claim "racism existed in some form before he said it". There's a few posters floating around saying similar things.

Who's that girl?
Utilitarians a shit.
