The economy is rebounding after the 2008 recession, he's taking credit for it because it happened during his presidency.
Most new jobs being created are minimum or near minimum wage.
There are many things Trump is not good at but a few he excels at, notably selling himself and getting people on his side. That's all he's done. If you support him, you bought his BS. People that get into politics and people that could actually fix things RARELY overlap. Politics is won by money and charisma, not having the right answer. Trump is a textbook example of this. You get a good president when you have someone that surrounds himself with the most knowledgeable and unbiased people in the nation. Trump doesn't do that. Trump prefers loyalty over capability. He's demonstrated this time and time again. The president is not the person that makes a country better, the president is the person that hires the people that know how to make the country better.
Trump views the presidency not as an opportunity to make America better (despite his slogan), he sees it as a throne for him to sit on. Trumpers get on their knees to gargle his jizz and he loves it. He slaps his name on all his buildings and businesses because he relies on the weight of his name and image, and that's exactly what he brought to the election. He will say anything to get his base to follow him. It's no wonder his fans are so diehard, he's been spoonfeeding them exactly what they want to hear.
Of course, what his base wants isn't necessarily what's best for the country. It's not like those two things are necessarily different, but they often are. Trump gets his base fired up over fear. He pokes at people's insecurities for their future and their way of life and then offers solutions and his base takes the bait.
Everything he's done since he was elected was either to protect his own ass or try to live up to the promises he made during his campaign.

The problem with Trump is that he tries to undermine the institutions that Americans previously trusted. Many of the things he's done are racist or cruel, and that's what most of the left gets worked up over, but honestly, those things aren't rare in the world, and they're not particularly dangerous, except for the victims of it.
I don't think Trump knowingly took assistance from Russia during his election. I think those close to him did without telling him. It was definitely Russia, not entirely sure why Trump thinks it was Ukraine.
