I'm pretty sure I'm autistic, but high functioning as I'm able to deal with people and am actually quite liked in group social settings. I just feel many people don't actually understand what its like to see individuals and how they have no sense of society or how to be a person. Like I'm aware of my shortcomings, and that there are many things I don't know about - but I'm always trying to make up for them and listen to people who know what they're talking about. Not many other people I know feel the same.

I'm not sure if you feel like you may also be autistic or feel like people don't understand, but it does get better once you find the right crowd, I can tell you that much.
