Because vacuous children got them to outlaw firebreaks.

It’s hard and we’re drunk ok?

Because by the wisdom of the wealthy religious and old-world thinkers who should hurry up and fucking die, Australia elected people who cut prevention funding down to a quarter of what it was. Additionally, our PM initially refused foreign aid, shunned advice and pleas from experienced fire fighters, and went on holiday. Our environment party also stopped backburning months ago when it might have helped, because they only saw the trees burning, not the danger of a fire which covered a third of the country.

There's a lot more to it, but mostly the budget cuts. The fires would have happened irrespective of our prevention efforts, but because our infrastructure was horribly weakened they got out of control very quickly. Hotter temperatures and dryer, faster winds than we've ever seen, made a national inferno out it.

Our politicians are generally fucking idiots.

why can't Americans put down he fucking trans fats and sugar?

>literally surrounded by water
Southern britbongs are stupid

>islqnd
>surrounded by ocean
>still on fire
And this is why I don't give a fuck.

Gooood one....

girt by sea fuckheads

Too busy fucking Koalas and being drunk

they love a good barbi

At least there'll be less dingos to eat their babies, amirite?

/thread

The PM is a puppet for the party like the one before, they get in now and are
allowed some months of self interest and profit then are required to abdicate
due to the clauses in their back door deals.

His being away changed nothing there'd still be a shit show the greens interfered with processes
due to climate scare tactics which caused fires in qld and lose of houses before This disaster, the greens are responsible for the majority of the loss climate scares are also.

Australia has had droughts since before Europeans settled here and in fact the first contingent left here had drought fires etc 1790 and the rest of it, climate ass my balls an ice age was coming again in the 80s yet we had ash Wednesday...

You fucking monglet 20y types with your hurr muh climates wake the fuck up and smell the money.

Do non Americans really?

>national inferno
Please. One little corner is on fire

Australians have along history of failing at shit, almost always theybfuck up so bad the opposite of their claimed or intended outcome happens.
Remember, they declared war on, and lost to, Emus.

Setting aside the science which has been done:

If the deniers are right, we will have lost some money and look stupid. If the climate conscious people are right, we're all fucked. Not necessarily dead, but lifestyle fucked. Poverty fucked. Health fucked.
If you didn't have your air-con and fresh chicken tendies, you'd have a right different opinion boyo.

kinda like how the US lost a war to a bunch of rice farmers when they had helicopters and attack jets

Of that little corner, how much is in the vicinity of human infrastructure, and how much is in the middle of the desert where there are no people or koalas getting crispy?
Percentage of the total land mass on fire isn't relevant, the percentage of inhabited territory is the concern.

Failing, don't forget Gallipoli, Australians had their asses handed to them by the Turks and Brits.

pic related. Was this the movie with Mel Gibson?

Lamb Roast is best Boyo.
Chicken Tendies are an ASSmerican thing...

You mean the cherry picked areas of temperature variance and increases
You mean the 5 cylinder testing conducted on
lab environment held gases

Nestle wanted to own the rights to distribute water
Monsanto wanted the rights to license and limit seed production

Create a climate scare you build your own wealth no pudding is needed.

apparently both sides of their government want fires.

>Please. One little corner is on fire
Wow! I guess indigent people really will accept anything.

It made new news because it was a slow news week for the world and some celebrities tweeted about it. Most of the inhabited areas of Australia are safe.

Winston Cumswill the hobbled gremlin cunt that suckled that Franc Cock so hard
He knew the outcome but selected Australian troops as a sacrifice for his failed greater plan
fucking britbong cunt.

isn't it now being blamed on arsonists?

Attached: 1562150489446.jpg (1768x2500, 476K)

500 million animals died. How little can it be

What good are helis and jets when everything was underground

Who the fuck counted em all?

They've upped the animal count to over a billion

Trump

Exactly. The USA found out that it was no good.

see

never hear people talking about that, idk.

Also reminder that 90% of Australasia's population lives along the edges of the continent, Nobody lives in the interior. and its been going through a decade's long drought.

We got a statistician here, so the fires were cause by Auschwitz riech ?

these maps were outed as not accurate weren't they?

>Australian bushfires: Cops and arson unit round up 24 alleged firestarters in NSW
Holy shit. That's the headline that made my google feed. However, I just googled "aust...arson" and every other article is about saying the arson angle is pure bullshit.
Oh, and Holy Shit to that picture too. That bad?
Can you explain the origin of that graphic? Is it based on reality?

Attached: 1543671404107.jpg (1920x1200, 466K)

It's accurate, just out of context. That's a 3D representation of a month's forth of fires.

they were created by NASA to represent the burned down regions observed from space; it comprises of multi images form weeks at a time

They told Australia to light up to distract the world from Iraq

Not sure how those deserts burnt?

There's scrub through most of those desert areas

>isn't it now being blamed on arsonists?
There's always arson, always lightning, always cigarette butts thrown out car windows...these things happen reliably every year.
It's not really the point how the fire starts because there's lots of ways it can, it's how bad it burns and whether it gets out of control.

>these maps were outed as not accurate weren't they?
Not "outed" because the original clearly said that it was a visualisation, not a map. It got reposted as a photo by retarded news sites which isn't quite right. It's a photo of Australia alright but with red dots put on the fire locations but the dots aren't the true size of the fire, just a marker where it is/was. Also, it's all fires from this season, not the ones burning right now.
So it's not accurate no but the original wasn't pretending to be accurate either and was never pretending to be a photo of a point in time.

The greens don't hold government anywhere and aren't even against backburning. Stop blaming a minor party with no power for a major party's fuckups.

Not enough to sustain a fire
there are spots in the middle of sandy areas.
Maybe the equipment they used picked up the hot sand?

they are not desert areas, the coastline of the continent comprises of forested areas.

Australia wouldn't have a national crisis if the fires were in the deserted regions. the pastures/farmland/forests of the country are being burned down.

TLDL' the country's Arable land is being burned down.

Because we're too busy starting them

Attached: 1520489828642.jpg (500x501, 101K)

>deserts burnt
Australian desert isn't exactly sand dunes like you think.

Thanks for clearing that up

A mix of factors.

Aboriginals lived on that land long before white folks came along and fucked with it. They knew how to look after the land and do controlled burns to prevent catastrophe from happening. The government hates the aboriginals and refuses to listen to them and take advice. Add that into the fact that they keep cutting funding to protect to environment along with ever increases temperatures and you've got a recipe for disaster.

If you're asking why they can't just put it out, you're talking huge landmass being on fire here. By the time you've watered down one side of it its already burned a few miles on its other sides. Its fire departments and volunteers can only do so much in a day, and there's only so much water you can get from point a to point b in a space of time.

IMO they need better technology to catch blazes earlier and use drones to put them out. If you can spend so many billions on drones to take out shady dudes in the middle east from across the ocean, you can spend some money on preventative fire measures using the same technology.

what the fuck is wrong with australians

>what the fuck is wrong with australians
They're kind of a nation of Sup Forums. That wasn't a random guy going to the farm to shoot dingos, they went there just to kill them. Dingos are kind of dangerous, sort of like wolves they're never really tame and can turn on you, e.g. you're not supposed to let them play with children unsupervised. There are rules about how you can keep them, 5m fences or enclosed cages, stuff like that. They really will take a baby if they find one and they're hungry.
Still, that guy obviously had the permits which meant he knew what he was doing, some neighbour was probably afraid they'd escape and come kill his chickens. That neighbour was probably an idiot because chickens get taken by foxes, not dingoes kept in cages or behind high fences.

>Mr Igns said he has now reported the alleged shooting and trespassing to NSW Department of Primary Industries and the NSW Police.

>'I know the people that have done it I'm just waiting for it to be investigated,' he said.

>'I've been told by neighbours that they (the shooters) have been hunting them for weeks.'

6 Million Koalas died

Some people just want to see the world burn, user.

Australians are retarded, lazy, degenerates

what's happening in Iraq?

>Our environment party also stopped backburning months ago
The party that isn't even in government?
They can't even stop a coal mine, they're not going to stop backburning. They also approve of backburning and want more of it.

Attached: 2-10 - WR - Spill_Geoff Pyror_Saturday Paper_31st August 2018 LR.jpg (400x302, 41K)

There aren't.
There are just confused morons who claim there is

If I recall correctly, the RFS commisioner confirmed backburning was always allowed but the conditions didn't suit so they couldn't.

>the RFS commisioner confirmed backburning was always allowed
I don't know why anyone would think they need the Green's permission.
I mean, sure they're the party for the environment but it's not like they control it or anything.
They seem to think that if go hiking without paying off Bob Brown, you'll never be seen again.

dont care, ill keep dumping oil and garbage into rivers because FUCK IT

Murdoch media propaganda. Typical case of political sabotage and shifting the blame. Thankfully people are smart enough to see through it.

hey at least your government didn't hire dancing negroes from the congo to put out your fires

easy, we knew how many we started with, then we circled the ones left and subtracted

Please don't.

>hey at least your government didn't hire dancing negroes from the congo to put out your fires
At this point, it's worth a shot.
Tell everyone in Mannis Island that if they join the CFA/RFS, they can come right in.

>Murdoch media propaganda. Typical case of political sabotage and shifting the blame
Somebody needs to assassinate that family. There isn't going to be real democracy while any of them still have a hand on Australian media.

it doesnt do anything, the earth absorbs it

So the Mexico gulf thing was what, lazy fish not wanting to swim anymore?

Ok retard.

check up on old oil spills ivan, they clean themselves

Do you work for Exxon's PR team or something?

aboriginal elders have been setting fire to the place because they don't like white people and asians.

So let it burn, what happened 200 years ago when there weren't any planes dropping fire retardant or firemen putting out the flames? Nature had a good blow out and things got back to normal afterwards. Next time don't build your houses next to flammable areas.Too bad about the homes, but natures gonna do what it's gonna do.

Wetter and colder climate 200 years ago.

>Our environment party also stopped backburning months ago when it might have helped

List the amount of times the Greens have been able to form a government. They have fuck all political influence and chances are they always will have fuck all.

Stop spreading Murdoch propaganda.

The current government in power, the government that introduced failed climate and environmental policies is to blame.

That's part of it, sure, but a big reason forest fires are such a big problem these days is that small fires are put out, which means that dry wood and undergrowth keep piling up in the parts that aren't allowed to burn, thus creating ideal conditions for these kinds of catastrophic fires.

Kek

Same reasons California has had major fires every few seasons or more as far back as I can remember.
Hint: it's not climate change.

Guess what, certain areas are prone to tornadoes, others hurricanes, and still others fire or flood. Only now in my lifetime have people started to blame everything and everyone except themselves. I've been asking myself for 40 years "why do those people build there? It's gonna burn, flood, whatever again."

Tornadoes kinda suck though because they are pretty random.

>a big reason forest fires are such a big problem these days is that small fires are put out, which means that dry wood and undergrowth keep piling up
Yeah, this is also a big thing.
There's some noise being made right now about aboriginal traditional burning and how it saved some places that they did it.
Which sounds like feel-good new-age shit but if it's stupid and it works...

The whole arson thing is being vastly perpetuated and overstated by twitter bots. Do a quick google search to that effect. Some data scientist proved it out yesterday.

See:

Same reason Californians can't

They’ve had a drought making everything burn faster and longer. Plus to top it off they’re politicians have implemented policies like California politicians where brush is not cleaned up or kept neat to prevent this very thing from occurring.

Because they aren't exactly the sharpest tools in the shed.

Because the firestorm is big!

Not this, no one is saying fire is made by global warming, only that it creates warmer and dryer periods resulting in more frequent bushfires.

>be a stupid environmentalist
>advocate policies that keep the grownups from making fire breaks
>elect stupid politicians that agree with your views and block firebreak work
>when massive fires start and kill everything in sight, blame Global Warming
>find someway to blame Trump while you're at it
>never learn
