Place probably hit its peak right with the Scientology raids. That was doing some actual good work. It's also what probably started the downfall, brought the internet shit into the real world, made people start paying attention. But it's not all internal shit, the whole internet has changed. Now it's just like 4 sites. Just one big mess. Shit sucks, I miss forums, posting under your silly made up name with a dumb tiny avatar next to your posts, listed in chronological order. Now everything is happening on facebook or twitter or whatever the fuck, all "curated" for the most "engagement", likes or hearts or upvotes or whatever kills actual conversation, everything out of order, everyone is just out to get the top post or reply instead of engaging in a topic.

This is what happens when normalfags invade a thing. They dumb it down and make it not fun for anything other than mindless virtue signalling or vapid shit. Social media is also cancer because its all about appearances no matter whats going on behind the scenes. On places like Sup Forums nobody gives a shit about who somebody is. If you're not funny or clever enough to create something on your own then you just suck. Corporations and governments are also clamping down on the internet for the sake of control. I also think smartphones removed the pleb filter of the old internet where you had to have two braincells to rub together to get online. Nowadays people just swipe their fucking phones and shit up a place with their narcissism or ego. Its basically like watching the wild west die and you're a cowboy. Other people tell you to just get over it but they would never understand.
There are at least 5 other dedicated boards to be crusty coomer caves but the brain dead normalfags here think that Sup Forums is just a place where they can be naughty about their social media accounts. It also fucking blows that raiding is banned. The Mongolians were only ever good at fucking other people up and Sup Forums is kind of the same way.
