Can someone who's followed this catch me up on the long term?
It seems the intervention in Libya was NATO/Western countries picking a side in a civil war. Which would seem to be something to focus on rather then just Benghazi when it comes to sos Clinton.
Was Syria just a version of Libya that was shut down? People saying fuck off to Obama's "red line" and then Putin last minute fixing the chemical bullshit?

>Was Syria just a version of Libya that was shut down? >People saying fuck off to Obama's "red line" and then Putin last minute fixing the chemical bullshit?
I've been following this here and there from the beginning. Yes and yes to both of those. The red line was just a bluff, and he got called on it. There was no direct NATO attack on Syria because the situation there is far too risky and volatile.
Cooper Butler
no such thing as an in and out in the us military huh

ooooo
oooooooooooooooo. really? how is life in that shithole?
Nathaniel Fisher
Read Clinton's emails on Wikileaks, search for Syria or Turkey or Saudi Arabia.
There's early intel reports declaring all the regional countries (Turkey, Saudis, ect) wanted a Sunni theocratic buffer zone between Assad and them so they funneled weapons and money to islamic groups to create said buffer.
It shut down because Russia and Iran got involved forcing the conflict to "negotiations" as arming terrorists wasn't working anymore.
Isaac Taylor
some active duty guys who sign up for 5-6 years don't get any reserve duty whatsoever after their contract is complete
reserves can fuck your schedule up for like 8-10 years or active duty contracts that are just 2-3 years
boring and hot but occasionally theres some action
Hudson Sullivan
just stay away from that shithole. does your country pay you well for doing this kind of thins?
Andrew Young
>this is real >for sure guys! look at my flag

So the neo cons in the US still think attack Assad was a good idea and Clinton/Obama changed their mind after they were BTFO by US citizens/Putin.
So why are the neo cons now saying ousting Assad was a bad decision and Putin is a terrible person?
It's all so tiresome.
I'll be willing to accept neo cons are retarded cucks.
And the current administration just decides their stances on the whim
Asher Martin

we get the occasional bunch of morons trying to attack us
about a month back
>pulling guard duty at night >start taking small arms fire, RPG's, mortars from hill from the northeast >return fire >kill a couple >rest run a way >they run DIRECTLY into a old soviet minefield >here GOOBA GOOBA ALLAH ACKBAR and screams all night of dipshits stepping on old Soviet PMN mines >next day drone flies over and like 15 of those dumbasses blew themselves up and bled out
last going price was around 5 USD per gram. or a pack of cigarattes

I've follow all of this, it's just all so tiresome.
The chemical false flag bullshit was on here a few months before it even happened.
Besides for that fat fuck "get a warrant" Chris mentioning that Libya, at the start, was a mistake. Benghazi was another blowback mistake.
The decision to back the "rebels" in Libya, was a mistake. Anyone watching it then could see the amount of mercenaries that were shipped in to be "rebel" fighters in Libya
Juan Adams
>they run DIRECTLY into a old soviet minefield

during my time back home i have a contract working security for a really rich techie guy, he does a bunch of start-ups n shit

Rather ousting Assad was a good decision?
If you could take the good foreign policies from both parties.
Jayden Perry
Well at least y'all are safe when its boring. Shit's fucked up back here in the States. We'll probably need you guys back to do a coup if Shillary gets elected.
John Hernandez
So why US engineers didn't demine it earlier? Do you have the exact coordinates of this field? Isn't it dangerous for the allied soldiers or civilians? Or it was a joke?
Xavier Sanchez
"The US says it may reconsider its affiliation and support for the Syrian opposition if reports of anti-Assad rebels beheading a Palestinian boy are confirmed" Think we'll stop supporting this anti-assad sandnigger squad? Maybe we'll support ISIS to fight them.

Hey not to shit up the thread, but what's this talk of Saul author of rules for radicals what's his importance, and why is it big that he is trending on twitter
Luke Adams
Imho, there were much more influence of Turkey and Saudi Arabia than USA.
Xavier Ortiz
yeah i've heard its pretty bad i havent been back since like end of march
seems pretty unprecedented with the cop killings and everything, i'm no fan of the police but between and those BLM apes i'll take the cops every time
way easier to just avoid it- all known minefields and mapped out on all of our grids and theres no real need to demine a bunch of valleys n shit unless we absolutely have too. those old PMN mines are really hard to spot so it'd be pretty stupid to go send resources to demine it when you can come back without your balls or legs. all that bullshit grunt work we send the afghan army to do ISAF doesn't do much demining. hell we barely have our own EOD guys anymore its mostly trained afghans
and those guys are fucking nuts i've seen two afghan EOD technicians just toss a 120mm armed shell back and fourth like it was a football they don't give a fuck

Nathaniel Green
What military branch are you serving under or is this private contract work?
Grayson Wilson
But guys, Chris Christie says Assad killed 400k people and that Hillary likes Assad. Why would you side with Hillary? Don't you care about the .4 gorillion?
Benjamin Turner
marine, not army
yeah afghan army handles the real brunt of it the taliban resurgance is kind of a meme we get attacked every once in a while but its peanuts compared to what was going on here in 2010-2012. we still have to avoid IEDs and bombing plots but aside from thats its not too bad. just really hot and muggy.
don't get me wrong Taliban control something like 15-20 percent of the country still but they have been pretty butchered by ISAF, but they've been beaten back so badly all they can really do nowadays are set IED's and the occassional suicide bombing on civvie targets
USMC
Jason Carter
What are you doing out there(rating wise)? Are you MP, EOD, recon, or something else?
Aiden Sanchez
Got it. I thought that mines should become useless after at least 27 years. PMN mines have unlimited operation life but some says that 10 years is a limit.
Andrew Allen
It's 600 bazillion! And yes I support shillary! We're here, we're queer, get used to it! Gays for Islam!

these days i go out on patrol with the infantry (0311's and whatnot) guys, talk to villagers and village elders with a translator, find out who stole whos goat, whos selling guns, whos selling opium/hash, whos got the the connect with AQ or Taliban, and then come back to the FOB and type it up to send it out on a report
so I do go out on patrols about every day to every other day but I always have to come back here and write it up
left undisturbed those things are nigh immortal
Anthony Fisher
is this thing of running into Russian mine fields common I am stilling giggling at that post
are kuwaitis being cunts like the other gulf countries towards syrians? they seem to be the more moderate compared to other sand niggers like Qatar and ksa
Jackson Ward
>Ground intelligence officer
I'm going to assume most of your work is classified.
Oliver Phillips
the taliban and alot of AQ members have a decent idea of where the minefields are but they really aren't that good at fighting
what they are good at as like real fucking 3rd world shit- you give them a pencil, tape, fertilizer, and a lighter and they will somehow make a fucking bomb out of it. i have to hand it to them, they do not like in ingenuity when it comes to explosives
i bet something like 90 percent of our casualties are sustained from roadside IEDs, then 5 percent from snipers, then 5 percent form ambushes and actual gunfights
they will and can make a bomb and detonator out of anything and thats how they fight and slow everything down- most of the ambushes these days are a huge IED with a EFP (explosive formed penetrator- like a giant bullet) that can either disable/kill a humvee or transport. then they'll run out of the bushes with a go-pro and some AK's and try to finish the survivors off and put it on liveleak or whatever raghead site they have internet access too
they aren't that tough, but they are fucking 3rd world smart, and shouldn't be underestimated in that regard yeah theres a lot of stuff i can't post but i can give vague generalizations and what not. cant name anything specific to me or what i'm doing
Juan Carter
the short version is that he contributed to the development of postmodern critical theory (the modern interpretation of Marxism) and laid out the organizational structure for this to be translated into the underlying philosophy of the American progressive movement.
His work is the basis of today's cancer of political correctness, identity politics, the glorification of socialist-communist organization, professional protestors, the destruction and obscuration of facts in favor of a politically-driven public narrative, and general disdain for the pursuit of objective truth; and so forth.
In one of his books, in the "special thanks" bit, he thanked Satan as inspiration for being "the original rebel".
Guess what religion he practices!
Joshua Morales
>Guess what religion he practices! jewish

US shills on full damage control for their "vetted" rebels beheading that kid
trying to be careful with my edge here, as i don't know the whole story and who was killing that kid or why (some affiliation to some alphabet army) i digress
if you looked at US Marines on Peleliu in WWII you'd see the same type of barbaric behavior: As we talked, I noticed a fellow mortarman sitting next to me. He held a handful of coral pebbles in his left hand. With his right hand he idly tossed them into the open skull of the Japanese machine gunner. Each time his pitch was true I heard a little splash of rainwater in the ghastly receptacle. My buddy tossed the coral chunks as casually as a boy casting pebbles into a puddle on a muddy road back home; there was nothing malicious in his action. The war had so brutalized us that it was beyond belief."
not backing up the kid killer, just pointing out that sustained conflict like that makes animals out of men.
James Edwards
Clinton/HuffPo "strategist" oped guy/shill is nonstop in his desperation

>One or two Air Force AS532 CSAR helicopters raided a wedding ceremony of a high rank general in Istanbul which was attended by many generals. CSAR commandos kidnapped them.
interesting article thanks
Ryder Russell
>sustained conflict ... makes animals out of men True. But the summary execution of a 10-year-old kid for being a suspected spy still seems a bit much.
Ryder Long
No.
Kidnapping some random kid and gleefully tormenting him then sawing off his head to a rapturous crowd all chanting "God is great" is nothing even close to some guy chucking rocks at a dead Jap gunner.
They were already animals before the war, a lot of the 'rebels' if they're not mercenaries they're gangsters and criminals/convicts who became brutal cartel like overlords of their towns
