Image spam is getting out of control.

First for weekend soon and maybe some Saturday evening gaming?

>wanted to attach an image to my last post
Me too, so I'll make my last post again.

>>do you not see how that might be a little be contradictory
>I do, I'd noticed that before. The point I making was that I thought you were painting schizoid as being "independent" which is sort of what it is but it makes it sound like a good thing, which I don't believe it is.
>I think we might have crossed our wires a bit and I'm a bit confused by this whole discussion, apologies if I don't fully understand what you're saying, though I do feel what you're saying is valid.

Okay, let's dial things back to a point where there was mutual understanding then.

>which is sort of what it is but it makes it sound like a good thing, which I don't believe it is.
Why don't you think so?

I give up.

>Why don't you think so
Independence is being able to look after yourself and stand on your own two feet.
Schizoid is more akin to isolation, at least that is how it sounds to me.

Keep going

What would you like to play?

What would the benefits of giving up be?

>weekend soon
I'm hoping for the return of /realdepressionhours/. This talk of psychology is a good start.

>maybe some Saturday evening gaming?
Provided there isn't a dozen different technical problems again.

There were a lot of questions I found that had no fully correct way to answer them. Like "I do [x] and also [y]" and the only options are agree or disagree. If you do [x] but not [y] then there's no way to respond without being wrong in one way.

Well that's where the confusion is stemming from then. My interpretation of being Schizoid (as an adult) would imply that the person would seek out independence to facilitate their preferences. It's not that being Schizoid makes somebody independent, but rather being independent would facilitate the lifestyle of a Schizoid far better than being dependent. It's certainly the case for me anyway.

>What would you like to play?
I do not care really, do you have anything in mind?
>I'm hoping for the return of /realdepressionhours/
Are you feeling down lately?

Great to see how fast /éire/ is at the moment, we were having the same thread for 2 or 3 days not very long ago.

There's something not quite right with this art style

We have Tomoyoposting to thank for that

>R**rah intentionally spamming images with no content or context

>Buy something on amazon for a low price
>Look back at the item a few hours later and the price has tripled

>Are you feeling down lately?
Just a bit gapingly empty.

>that's where the confusion is stemming from
I'm still a little confused, if I'm to be honest.
Point is being schizoid is a no no and not something should one should strive or aim for.
Independence in the non-social sense is good though, like being able to survive and cope for yourself.

Nice. I like suda games and haven't tried this one.

LIke you don't really have a purpose in life or do you feel lost?

>not something should one should strive or aim for
I don't think it is something people aim to become, it's just who you are whether you like it or not.

>just who you
Nothing that can't be changed with a bit of conditioning desu.

Who is that beautiful mature woman second from the left?

The latter. I don't really care about any sort of divine purpose, I just want to live a comfortable and happy life. It would be nice if that didn't seem more out of reach by the day.

>Nothing that can't be changed with a bit of conditioning desu.
What if they don't want to be changed? I'm sure very few people would like the idea of having their personality completely changed.

>Who is that beautiful mature woman second from the left?
Hana.

>Point is being schizoid is a no no and not something should one should strive or aim for.
I don't think anybody aims for it - it's just who you are. Plus, it doesn't really bother me.

Maybe you should be a little less hard on yourself and take a good look at what you have in your life to show you where you should go?

I mean I'm sure that you know yourself better than I know you and implying anything else would be very rude on my part, but maybe try and take an outsider's look on your life to help you better understand where you are situated and where you could go?

Anyone else live with foreigners?
I have a tendency to blurt out expletives but I do something stupid or think of a painful memory. Sometimes they are racial. "FUCKING NIGGERS" or "FAGGOT NIGGER CUNT". I am worried that my Indian housemates might think I am talking about them. One of them keep giving me food and trying to shake my hand like "are we good?". He told me just there that I don't need to worry about food anymore, he will bring me dinner everyday from his work, "you don't worry about food now, I bring you food, please, please". This is all well and good, if not a little weird but I can't help but feel he is trying to please me because he thinks I am a dangerous racist.

Am I exploiting him?

>What if they don't want to be changed
Well no one is going to force them I suppose, though some may try but in reality they won't succeed if that person doesn't have some desire to change somewhere inside of them already.
>very few people would like the idea of having their personality completely changed
Most certainly I would say.

>don't think anybody aims for it
Well at least don't portray it as a positive thing, I suppose I should say rather than aiming for it.
>doesn't really bother me
Are you sure that the thought of not raising some cute Gaels that could potentially lead FF one day to a new era in Irish politics doesn't somewhat disappoint you?

Good post

This sounds very strange, satan
Just roll with it I guess?

Just tell him you have tourettes, tourettes lad.

what anime is that?

Got recommended one of those alt right national party type videos on youtube, probably because of all the shite that gets linked here and noticed this comment on a video about immigration.
Note the use of "actual" foreigners. Is this a common view among those sort? The English are grand and one of us because they're white?

Sounds like genuine tourettes. Are you Howth?

>I can't help but feel he is trying to please me because he thinks I am a dangerous racist.
You're getting away with it really. In one year of college, I lived with Irish girls on campus and they eventually reported me after months of racism which led to me being moved into a different apartment by myself. Then again it's typical of virtue signalers to act more offended than actual targets themselves. Still though, living with foreigners seems pretty shit

>supporting Netflix anime
Why? Letting companies know there is money to be made selling anime in the west leads to them putting pressure on the likes of nyaa and ultimately making piracy harder

>Maybe you should be a little less hard on yourself
If anything I'm too lenient on myself. I avoid thinking about my problems 90% of the time but they're still there.
>take a good look at what you have in your life to show you where you should go?
I feel like there isn't anything I could feasibly do that I'd be happy with. All roads lead to disappointment from where I see them.
>maybe try and take an outsider's look on your life
That's why I like talking to all of you.

legally brits aren't foreigners, just as the irish aren't considered foreigners in the UK.

But generally everyone else is a foreigner regardless of skin colour.

I have (not) been pirating anime for a decade or so. Me watching a couple of anime on a free trail isn't going to fuck up the system

I would say so. The "alt-right", particularly in Europe, have a strong kinship between countries because it is us (western civilization) against the unruly savages from beyond.

Our old nationalist orthodox narrative about how our own glorious civilisation of old Irish law and custom was destroyed by British imperialists is different among this new breed who fetisize the ideals British law, magna carta etc. as halmarks of the glorious western civilization.

To easily one over by pride in being 'the civilized bunch', if only they were aware of their own history...

>Why? Letting companies know there is money to be made selling anime in the west leads to them putting pressure on the likes of nyaa and ultimately making piracy harder
But it would increase budgets for anime studios by having a larger paid market. We might stop the widespread occurrence where anime is only produced for a season or two for a premise with the material for several as a marketing exercise for selling the latest light novel or manga.

>I avoid thinking about my problems 90% of the time but they're still there.
It's called "distracting yourself so you won't go insane"
I mean I don't know your problems and I couldn't think of any that would be able to ruin your life completely (except for money troubles or crimes but I doubt that you are that kind of guy)
>I feel like there isn't anything I could feasibly do that I'd be happy with
Well, have you tried anything?

>after months of racism
As in you were shouting racist remarks?

>legally brits aren't foreigners

The things people say and actually believe in this thread....

Good people don't like to see others bullied or abused. Just because the method of abuse happened to be racist insults doesn't make them virtue signalers for doing something about it.
You sound like a total scumbag btw

>sound like a total scumbag
My thoughts exactly. I'm sure he has some positive attributes though.

>shouting racist remarks
Nah more that it would come up in conversation naturally. Along with those girls who I was randomly allocated with, I also lived with a friend from school who I would chat shit with. Plus other friends would call around and in my social circle, racism was always accepted. To be fair too, I got along with the girls until they reported me

Sharing my views with them isn't bullying them user

>I got along with the girls until they reported me
Sounds like they didn't like you at all if they did.

'Alt right' here is just a branch of Anglo 'alt right', not a distinctly Irish thing. They generally don't care about Irish nationalism or Gaelic culture either.

some games have genuine advantage for people who know the secrets and exploits as well as having massive bonuses for people who played longer than you
e.g. assasins creed, GTA online, any free to play shooter
Heroes and general for example you are pretty much signing up to get raped

>after it emerged that €13,000 was spent on a lavish retirement party with an ice sculpture among the expenses.
isn't that misappropriation of money?

>some children get educated in prefabs for this

Yes but it's not at all uncommon here. Nobody ever gets fired for that kind of thing.

I'm drifting in and out of consciousness, I suppose losing an entire day's sleep will do that to you. See you all in a few hours when I wake up in the middle of the night or something.

man that sucks. They should at least fire them or even sueing them to make an exemple

>They should at least fire them or even sueing them to make an exemple
>to make an example
no, its under discretionary departmental expenses. You don't take arbitrary action to 'make an example' of people. You can't fire them or sue them as they are not in breach of the law or departmental guidelines. the fault for this lies with the minister of education for not setting constraints on valid expenses.

hmm

>the fault for this lies with the minister of education for not setting constraints on valid expenses.
my bad I thought that there was a limit but that they went over it. If it's not written in the law though it's kinda ambiguous

There's been a distinct lack of Tomoyoposting tonight, lads. Disappointed

>distinct lack of posting tonight
Bit tired.

Things have been a bit weird here lately, a lot more tension at times I think. But maybe that's just me.

Anyone ever want to be a guard when they were growing up?

>a lot more tension
What do you mean by tension exactly? Have you any proof of this "tension" Mr. Garda Sargent?

Right lads, prod here, just wondering that if in NI you think Sinn Fein are being as autistic as the DUP are in these Stormont talks?

>think Sinn Fein are being as autistic as the DUP are in these Stormont talks
SF and the DUP are both very autistic in general helped on by the fact that their core supporters are out looking for the blood of the opposition most of the time and won't accept "surrender".
I'd consider SF to be somewhat less autistic most of the time though, but I'm biased as I'm Irish and dislike right-wing politicians. Think the whole trying to include Ulster Scots in this new language act is a bit of an insult, but at the same time having a lot of jobs reserved for a language that isn't used very much also seems a bit silly.

>Anyone ever want to be a guard when they were growing up?
Absolutely not

>What do you mean by tension exactly?
People changing their regular posting style to post in a more disruptive way, I guess?

I've lost interest in the Northern assembly story to be honest. It's dragged on for a long time and my intrigue in matters up there only stretches so far.

>changing their regular posting style to post in a more disruptive way
As in people removing their avatars in order to make statements they wouldn't like people to associate them with? I'm pretty sure that's been happening as the number of images suddenly drops when something controversial is being discussed.
Is that what you meant, or have you noticed other things?

For me I think that if someone wants to speak Irish, let them. Breaking up the government over it just seems retarded. On the same hand I don't think the taxpayer should have to pay for street signs and all that in a language they don't even understand.

Really I'd have Irish taught compulsory in Primary Schools, I don't see it as a Unionist vs Nationalist thing.

Yes, but also people using 151 unattached images that I suspect we'll never see again in those sort of discussions and people reverting to known images after the fact and explaining a reason why they were absent during the controversial posting period which seems a little contrived.
But then as someone who scored highly on negativistic and paranoia on the tests earlier I would probably would think that.

>don't see it as a Unionist vs Nationalist thing
I'm not well versed in the culture of NI but I imagine a lot of Unionists wouldn't see it that way.
It's a pity how things like the Irish flag (and to a lesser degree the language) have become tainted now and seen as belonging to "them". It was supposed to unite those from both backgrounds and provide both equal representation. Maybe it will be cleared of its taint in the future as the Troubles are forgotten.
>Breaking up the government over it just seems retarded
Well coming from a Southern perspective, the Irish language means a lot to people here. Whilst most of us can't speak it we still want to see it protected and given opportunities to grow. Imagine it is the same for nationalist in the North. They just want to see it exist rather than use it as some sort of cultural imperialism.

>don't think the taxpayer should have to pay
Typically it won't really cost them. Usually they don't just tear down old signs but instead wait for them to decay natural and use the bilingual version when it is time to replace them.

>using 151 unattached images that I suspect we'll never see again
Are you saying they use new images rather than their usual ones? I'm a bit slow on the draw tonight, my apologies.
>explaining a reason why they were absent during the controversial posting period
I never really took any notice of the excuses people gave. You are truly a great detective desu. Hope I can aspire to your level one day and notice such details.
Are you suspicious of certain people in particular?
>paranoia
I was disappointed my score for this was so slow.

*low

>Are you saying they use new images rather than their usual ones?
Possibly. It's the logical next step after being accused of dropping avatars is it not? To use images but to make sure they aren't identifying.

>You are truly a great detective desu.
No Pooichi-kun, I'm just a suspicious person.

>Are you suspicious of certain people in particular?
Yes, but I'll keep my views on individuals to myself.

>I was disappointed my score for this was so low.
Why?

>mess around with the Ram on my PC since I bought new ones
>PSU acting up and won't restart properly and requires several hard boots to work
ffs I really don't want to swap out PSU tonight.

Your flag is shite in fairness. I'm not saying that to be a cunt, tricolours are just shit.
They way I've usually seen it done is that you have one English road/street sign then an Irish one below it.

Just seems like a waste of taxpayers coin seeing no one can even speak Irish.

Again I'm not opposed to it being taught in schools, it's something I'm trying to learn now, but forcing it on people who can't speak it is just null.

Hope everyone is comfy

youtube.com/watch?v=h534Z2VjAng

>logical next step after being accused of dropping avatars
I suppose it is, I hadn't taken much notice to be quite honest. I'll have to keep an eye out in the future.
>Pooichi-kun
Mixed feelings on this...
>I'll keep my views on individuals to myself
Probably for the best but it mightn't hurt to share with those you trust. The board in a certain individual's bedroom said there existed such a person.
>Why
Paranoia is an excellent defensive trait to have, though burdensome and painful at times.

>flag is shite in fairness
>tricolours are just shit
I quite like our flag, and the French one for that matter. Both have a lot of history.
>one English road/street sign then an Irish one below it
Yes this is how it's done in Ireland, Wales and parts of Scotland.
>seems like a waste of taxpayers coin
Doesn't really cost anything in terms of manufacturing, maybe a bit in administration and bureaucracy but that's it. Not like they have to pay translators as names already exist. The economic argument isn't a great one in fairness.
>forcing it on people who can't speak it is just null
As I said in my previous post the intention usually isn't to "force it on people". We have bilingual road signs in the South, and they aren't there to force people to learn Irish or to make those who can't speak, which is the vast majority, feel bad. It's just a cultural thing that we like to see.
Also keep in mind that the majority of place names in NI are translations from Irish.

>Probably for the best but it mightn't hurt to share with those you trust.
If I had anything concrete I would, as I have in the past. Otherwise I don't want to affect peoples opinions on others because of my own suspicions and feelings.

>Paranoia is an excellent defensive trait to have, though burdensome and painful at times.
There's nothing wrong with presuming the best of people.

That's your own taste, but for me it's just a bland copy paste flag of another fifty countries. I'd rather have the Harp on Green or Blue. NI's flag is way better and you can't deny.

When you consider the knuckle draggers that will be tearing down or drawing graphite on the street signs in the language they don't like. It really does add up to just being a waste of cash.

There is a difference between the North and South tho, the cultural thing for pride doesn't piss off anyone for you, for us it alienates around half the population, it just seems pointless kicking up that stink for something no one can speak,

Oíche mhaith.

>NI's flag is way better
I assume you are referring to the English one with a crown and the Lámh Dhearg Uladh on top of it?
>for us it alienates around half the population
Which is the core of the problem. It is perceived by half the population as being cultural domination whilst the other half just see it as a benign part of their identity (though some cunts in SF and the like no doubt want to make people feel dominated by it, but fuck them).
Similar arguments could be made for lighting pallets on fire every year and marching down a street banging drums. Think the language thing is a lot more harmless and offensive though, but that's just me.
The Unionist population of the North have for decades had an issue with their identity. They represent a caricature of Britain that simply no longer exists. The values they hold dear in the modern world have diverged completely from from what the vast majority of people in mainland Britain believe in.

*lot more harmless and less offensive though

Grand crisp night out.

>Are you sure that the thought of not raising some cute Gaels that could potentially lead FF one day to a new era in Irish politics doesn't somewhat disappoint you?
I have never wanted children. I don't even like being around them.

Well you know who returned and caused quite the fracas with some other users.

Your implying catholics don't also enjoy lighting fires and rioting at certain points of year.

I'd say the idealistic Ireland a lot of republicans fight for doesn't exist either.

What tension in particular are you accusing this mysterious /éire/ personality of being the source of?

Personally I think if you have suspicions, what's the harm in vocalising them? At worst it will just be considered another form of shitposting.

I wonder what the future of Northern Ireland is, considering Brexit and Scotland's likely independence afterwards.

...

Does /éire/ just die after midnight?

Why doesn't Ireland want freedom from EU courts?
