>asking Ford if he is excited to watch the young Han Solo movie
This interviewer is a fucking joke
youtube.com/watch?v=hxMIECU0sK8

Some millenial fag to harass two legends, one visionary, one acting (yes Lucas is a visionary, a flawed visionary but he contributed a lot to industry).

That faggot host needs to be punched in his gay lisping face.

Nerd fanservice and annoying old people about children's movies.

He contributed one decent sound facility. People who mewl about the industry never get into the industry.

Uh, what?

>Are yew looking forward to the next Han Solo movie? As a fan!?
>* "I LOVE YOU, HAN SOLO" in the distance *
Jesus christ.

>the smile on Lucas' face with the clear JUST lying underneath

Anyone who laughs like the interviewer deserves to be euthanized.

Skywalker Sound is the only contribution of any worth that George Lucas made to "the industry". Talking about "the industry" is the realm of the loser who might one day get himself off the ground enough to start a YouTube channel, get a fucking Patreon and guilt his employed friends into supporting his malodorous NEET fanboy ass. To put it another way, you should murder yourself for the way you think and talk.

>the Han Solo movie is actually happening

Get shot by a firing squad.

Lucas' prequels are mediocre, but he came up with Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Skywalker Sound, and THX just to name some things, THX which has played a major role in cinema. He also helped get the ball rolling for films to start being shot on digital and push for more independent filmmakers to have access to cheaper digital film equipment via the SW prequels being one of the first major films shot on digital.

Stay salty, underage cuck.

Harrison Ford is a huge faggot

Harrison should be in end of life care...not flying airplanes into the ground
He has dementia

Does someone have the 70s picture of all the neckbeards standing in line for ANH?

b-bbut muh memories! muh nostalgia! memba!

You're the salty one, none of those things were good or neccesary developments with the exception of Skywalker Sound.

>Cleared to land on the taxi way, Mr Jones

It was called Star Wars. It was never called A New Hope. Lucas's autistic need to overwrite people's real memories is one of things that finally limited his legacy.

That's an odd thing to get scrupulous about.

Why did Harrison Ford agree to do this, there is no way they paid him what he would have demanded for it. Charity or something?

Charity Tax write off

Contract, most likely.

Post the actual interview next time.

I feel bad for Harrison Ford, since it's pretty clear that he assumed Han Solo was just a stepping stone to greater things, and probably can't understand why nerds are so obsessed with it

He should be forever grateful to those obsessed nerds. He's not a good actor and made his fame and fortune off the role

Not at all. Making people deny the evidence of their own memories - nobody really remembers it being called A New Hope because it never was - is the kind of control freakery that prevents an artist from making a truly great work of the imagination, and I don't think Star Wars finally qualifies as a great work of the imagination, for many reasons, most of which have their roots in that limitation of his thinking.

>He's not a good actor and made his fame and fortune off the role

Think you're talking about Marc Hamill user

No, he's a very good actor, and the way that this late return to the cold dog's-vomit of his nerd hits is demeaning and undoing his life's work is sad to behold.

It's been known as A New Hope since the 80's, stop being autistic.

Nah, he's shit

I wouldn't say he's a great actor but as his post-Star-Wars career showed he's certainly above average, considering he's practically the only one out of the main cast that went on to greater things

>inb4 BUT MARK HAMILL IS THE GREATEST CARTOON JOKER, EVER

Referring to the original Star Wars as "ANH" isn't a big deal, user. It's an internally given title that was cemented when it became a series. There are bigger things worth complaining about regarding this franchise.

same for all of the original cast, mark always looks really pissed off at those events.

It's a bigger deal than any of the internal stuff. The internal stuff is just it being mediocre entertainment that promotes mediocre standards. Telling people they didn't see what they saw as an article of faith, as fans routinely do, is a bigger deal, because it's at the root of the problem.

No, Harrison Ford has been in many and varied movies for adults. He had about a dozen non-genre big hits. Hamill had a couple of modest artistic successes, then nothing for years, then the Joker in a kids' cartoon series. The inability of Star Wars fans to step outside the playpen for even a second is tragic.

I've read some stuff online insinuating that Harrison Ford's cognition is noticeably declining (manifesting itself in both his driving and, most notably, in his flying). It's true that he's never been all that comfortable indulging Star Wars questions even on his best day, but much of the time now he seems to be at a complete loss for words. It sucks to see your childhood heroes stripped bare as mere mortals...

Yeah, that's a better way of describing it

It must be awful to have grown up a mongoloid who hero-worships people, especially actors. I hope Ford turns up on Fallon with his pants round his ankles, holding a fistful of his own shit and weeping, just for you, faggatron.

Solely to generate cringe energy

Oh sorry man, I thought I was disagreeing with you, turns out I was agreeing with you. We're both right. Feels good!

Don't feel too bad for him, it's 420 that made him punchdrunk, he had a great time and has no regrets.

>We're both right. Feels good!

Sure does bruh

Disney learned their lesson.

The next Star Wars trilogy, not only by necessity, will feature scripted interviews with Han Solo, Princess Leia, Luke Skywalker, and George Lucas holograms. You won't even be able to tell they aren't real, and nobody will care.

>none of those things were good or neccesary developments

He's not an idiot like you. He understands why they're obsessed with Han Solo. He just wishes they weren't.

>He understands why they're obsessed with Han Solo. He just wishes they weren't.

And the difference is?

He knows what's wrong with them. You remember how Alec Guinness talked about it? They all felt like that, they were just younger, so less concerned, and better at hiding it. Now they're all old and feel intense pity, and also a degree of guilt. They worked on something which prevented thousands or even millions of young men from ever having a life.

You're acting like he's some oblivious, confused old man. It's clear you're one of those people who thinks he's better than everyone else, so you probably don't realize that they think about things a lot more than you. The world is not a simulation created for your pleasure.

Harrison Ford is what happens when an autistic man is born good looking

Hamill barely acts in live action films. His voice work is wonderful.

>hero-worships people

As opposed to what? Hero worshipping dogs?

Btw, you're the fucking mongoloid. Contrarian faggot

As opposed to just admiring people's work without become inane or artificially extending the life of your most childish traits.

You sound like a retarded highschool kid trying to use SAT words in a sentence

It's pretty funny that he was at a loss for words and got stage fright.

Your reading level is that arrested, huh? Another indication of how unhealthy it is to worship heroes.

This.
