Streaming from websites has shit for encodes. They're all pushing lower than DVD bitrates upscaled to "1080p" in the drive for lowering bandwidth and maximizing space. Torrenting the movie (or in this case the TV show) will allow you to have higher quality picture, and as an added bonus, you'll never have to worry about buffering.
Also, don't use VLC
