Is this a fair necessary but not sufficient way to assess whether an activity is a sport or not?

>if the "athletes" wear a hoodie for fashion purposes when competing, it's not a sport
>if the athletes wear specifically designed sports suits that grant them the best possible performance, then it is a sport

If Ireland plays it, it's not a sport.

>the goal is to look as cool as possible
>wearing cool cloths helps you do this
guess it must be a sport then

Their performance is mesured by how good they look performing their stuff
A hoodie looks cool so it's designed to get them the best performance
So it's a sport

That's a winter jacket you mongoloid, it has to have a hood, it's not for fashion purposes.

I think it would be better to just check if the activity fits the definition of 'sport'.

You forgot to come up with an argument while yielding to your fit of rage, child

That would make way too much sense for italy

Some soccer jerseys have colars which are for fashion purposes. So is soccer not a sport?

Rugby is definitely a sport.

But that makes no sense at all. There's not a one universal definition of sport, and even when given a definition people can't agree whether something fits that definition or not. Think beforehand next time you decide to reply, or better yet just leave the thread

Sup Forums established what differentiates an athletic event and a sport, and it comes down to

>refs instead of judges
>definitive way of scoring
>opponents can directly influence eachother's performance

there might be more criteria I'm forgetting, but that's the gist

>manage the ball into the goal zone
>gets 6 points
>sport

>Some
You mean one and once in history?

if I like it it's a sport if I don't it's not a sport.
here is the full list of sports:

Association Football

>people can't agree on what a word means
I suggest you stop using it then. It's evidently meaningless.

>Sport
Things you like and your country is good in

>Not a sport
Things you don't like and your country sucks in

How many examples do you want me to post? It is common.

No that's the Ivory Coast flag.

I live in the town of Rugby where it was invented and I can say 100% it's not a sport.
It's egg chasing.
Handegg is nothing more than a joke.

...

>OP specifically mentions hoodies
>talks about collars instead
Start your own thread, so far no one has been able to make a coherent argument in favor of free style snowboarding

That was just his example though
