SUCCESS

BREEDS

JEALOUSY

Can't imagine the mental gymnastics Finns are going through to explain how Niskanen beat all our so called unbeatable asthma dopers by nearly 3 minutes in the 50km.

>ski federation is called "fis"
BRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAPPPPPPPPPP

Don't forget to huff your pipe, you might experience shortness of breath because of all that anger.

>mention the fact that 70% of Norwegian medals were won by """asthmatics""""
>buttmad Norwegians invade the thread
*inhales*

That explains the hatred this board has for my country.

Yes, I'm very upset after the Norwegian team broke the all-time medal record and tied the all-time gold medal record. Enjoy being a winter sport nation on the same level as Great Britain.

Everyone at the top dopes, most of them just haven't been caught yet.

you wish

>I'm gonna huff and puff and blow your medal record away!
Please do explain why most of your team suffers from asthma and why did Norwegian Ski Team take 100x the amount of asthma meds than your neighbours combined.

>Everyone at the top dopes
Proofs? People always say this but no one backs it up even slightly.

>Please do explain why most of your team suffers from asthma
They don't.
>and why did Norwegian Ski Team take 100x the amount of asthma meds than your neighbours combined.
They didn't.

Good thread.

the norway team reported bringing 6000 doses of asthma medicine

Go huff your pipe and accept the fact your whole team is full of dopers.

5600, yes, and what is your point?

the point is obvious

OAN BTFO

>why did Norwegian Ski Team take 100x the amount of asthma meds than your neighbours combined.
how much asthma medication did sweden and finland bring? i didn't know those numbers ere published.

Do Norwegians actually believe their athletes aren't doping? That's pathetic.

>trying to distract this hard
Just explain why your whole team suffers from asthma, while other countries' ski teams only habe one or two asthmatics..

you didn't answer my question. how much did they bring? you said you knew.

>By comparison, Finland and Sweden have sent ten inhalers each to the Olympics, and no atomizers.

Norway absolutely triggered

>why your whole team suffers from asthma
The asthma they suffer from is exercised enduced. And according to Swedish athletes, the Norwegian team trains a lot harder.

norway is finished

>A country of proven cheaters complain about legal medication

lol sure
>let me just diagnose you with a pre-emptive asthma so you can huff and puff all you like t. Norwegian ski team doctor

Statistical manipulation at its finest. One or two very successful athletes winning many medals is not an indication of 70% of our team having asthma nor is it an indication of athletes with asthma dominating the sport more than it is an indication of the athletes on the highest level having an increased chance of developing asthma symptoms. Sweden's percent was just below 50 as Kalla has won most of their medals, despite asthma being more prevalent in the Swedish team. Our two most successful male athletes at these games, Klæbo and Krüger don't use asthma medications, and we won our medals across 8 different sports including freestyle, curling and ski jumping. None of which are sports where you can gain the upper hand from using so called endurance boosting asthma medications.

what's the threshold of exercise-induced asthma. every athlete in the winter olympics spends prolonged periods training in freezing temperatures. it wouldn't make sense for only norway's athletes to be effected because they supposedly train 'harder'

>(((legal)))

Sure, go ahead with your conspiracy theory if that makes you feel better.

>Denmark

>it wouldn't make sense for only norway's athletes to be effected
they aren't the only ones. we just train harder i suppose.

But I suppose it's fine when Kaisa Mäkäräinen, your best individual winter athlete in about 10 years, uses the same medication?

>when "legal medication" isn't enough

Kaisa is a fucking joke, she doesn't have the mental fortitude to shoot when it counts.

What's funny is that the whole nation of Norway got collectively assblasted and tried to get her completely just ban ruling overturned
>B-BUT WE ARE,CLEAN IT WAS THE ITALIAN DOCTOR'S FAULT

...

Instead of illegal lip balm she should do like the Lahti six?

NIDF pls

Not an argument.

>yfw it was the Finnish media who burned to doping ring
>yfw the Norsk media vehemently defends dopers like Johaug and refuses to investigate asthma nedicine abuse

>>yfw the Norsk media vehemently defends dopers like Johaug

No

> and refuses to investigate asthma nedicine abuse

What abuse? You know this is a no-moonlanding-tier meme, right? It only works on the stupid masses (and extremely bitter neighbors)

Norway BTFO!

All dopers should do what Mika Myllylä did, drink until you drown to your own vomit.

reminder that Salbutamol is not a performance enhancing drug

Johaug would've done that but she was too deep in the usual Norwegian dindunuthin dellusions.

wew

*wheezes*
bro, pass the gold

>refuses to investigate asthma nedicine abuse
Couldn't be more wrong, the Norwegian media constantly brings it up. Why do you think they asked the Norwegian doctors for this list? The use of asthma medication in the Norwegian team has already been extensively investigated by an independent committee and deemed in line with medical regulations and anti-doping rules.

SEETHING

To be honest, that's the amount of medals we've got in every winter olympics the last 30 years, with the exception of Nagano where we had our dopers and our ski jumping didn't suck.

I'd rather win 6 medals honestly than 39 by cheating.

If you were actually not bitter little Fins, you wouldn't so aggressively push this meme.

How do we know you didn't cheat? You have a record. :)

>"independent" committee full of Norwegians and those from FIS who accept dirty Norwegian cash for favours
>truthful findings
Pick one.

>bribe Fédération Internationale de Ski
Yeah, we also bribed FIS to appeal Johaug case's so she would get an extended punishment and miss the Olympics. It's all 4D chess.

>those from FIS who accept dirty Norwegian cash for favours
Is this one of your conspiracy theories, or did this actually happen.

>How do we know you didn't cheat? You have a record. :)
t. Johau Dindunuffingsson

Did Johaug's lip balm win us all these medals? :)

No, but asthma meds did. The only reason they're legal is because you faggots keep lobbying (read:bribing) FIS to keep them legal. Go guff somewhere else.

That bribe is in your head, Finland. It's wishful thinking to make this meme make any kind of sense.

You're delusional if you think the Norwegian Ski Federation has any kind of influence on WADA's decisions to add or remove substances from the prohibited list.

>heh heh, the dumb goy-guys think the meds we abuse don't have an effect on performance
>yes yes go-guys, we just train harder!

There, there Finland. Better luck next Olympics!

This is photoshopped, right?

neither is 'I guess they just train harder lol'

At least after Lahti those are clean medals, same can't be said about Norway's...

>mad >at asthma

Literally caught doping in Vancouver. No Norwegian winter athletes have ever tested positive at the Olympics.

Another one was caught doping a few days after the Sochi Olympics, he didn't compete in those Olympics however, but did compete at the 2013 World Championship. Now he's back to skiing in the Scandinavian Cup as he's served his ban.

>illegal lip balm
how fucking stupid are you pirka

who is that ?

>jealous Finn
EVERY SINGLE TIME

Kek, I didn't know there is so much animosity between you Scandinavians. On a related note, since you're talking mostly about cross-country skiing: how come all these skiers can compete in all of the events, from sprints to 50k? That's unheard of in athletics. Usain Bolt would die in a a marathon and a skelly marathoner would probably snap in two if he tried sprinting. In b4 doping, summer athletes dope too.

>I didn't know there is so much animosity between you Scandinavians
First, Finland isn't a part of Scandinavia. Second, it's just bantz.

It has a lot to do with how many that specialize in ski sprints compared to athletics sprints. In skiing the distance racers earn the most money and get the most fame, so there are relatively very few that focus on just ski sprints. In athletics it's the other way around, the sprinters are the biggest starts of the Summer Olympics while the marathoners don't get much attention, money or fame.

Compared to sprints in athletics, skiing sprints are a lot more dependent on a good technique and well waxed skis. Even the strongest and fastest ski sprinters will fail to win without good skis and proper technique, equipment and technique in running is pretty much irrelevant is comparison. Let's not also forget that a ski sprint is usually much longer than a sprint in track running, usually anywhere from 1500m to 2000m for the men. Someone like Mo Farah could definitely compete in a 1500m without making a fool of himself. He holds the European record on the distance.

Not a lot of skiers are able to succeed at both 50km and individual sprints. Among the men it's really just Klæbo, Bolshunov and Ustiugov that have had a lot of success in both this season but (it's easier to do for the women as the competition is on a much lower level). Niskanen and Halfvarsson have been okay. Cologna, Northug, Hellner and Harvey started off as great sprinters, but their sprinting abilities became weaker the more they focused on the distance races. Same goes for Bjǿrgen, Kalla, Weng and Ǿstberg to mention a few.

TL;DR: Much less competition in skiing, few care about the ski sprints.
