you happy now?
shit movie shit character
what makes a good gay character? if its just "make it like a regular guy who happens to like guys" then what even is the point of it being gay?
>what makes a good character?
A good writer.
I hate Phi Phi O'Hara. Absolutely the worst co testing on All Stars 2. I don't care about the drama she brought, she's shitty.
>tfw jasmine masters will never be on all stars
Bubbles > Buttercup > Blossom

I think the point is to show that gay people can just be people and don't have to be a bunch of goofy fags.
The one in as good as it gets wouldn't have worked if he wasn't gay, there were some good jokes and arcs around the fact he was gay
technically unless the character doesnt demonstrate heterosexual attraction (and even then they could still be bisexual), you cant just assume they are straight
a character doesnt need a set sexuality unless its sexual feelings are important for the story
Nobody watched this fucking show, but for what it's worth he was pretty entertaining
I watched it and enjoyed it.
>that one scene where some guy is sucking his cock and he snaps his neck
In this context it probably means any and all of:
1. A character who is compelling in the same way any other character is 'good';
2. As a specific extension of the above, a character who has more to offer the movie/show than just being gay; and
3. A character whose gayness is relevant to the plot and/or character dynamics, and not merely thrown in for diversity points.
so does HIM even count as a gay character even if he never demonstrates attraction to men?
If they never expressly state or heavily imply a character's sexuality, in my view it doesn't have one.
>falsetto voice
>pink puffy skirt
>high heels
>generalized effeminacy/sissyness
does that count as an heavy implication?
Given that it was the 90s (and a US kid's show, so they'd never be able to make it explicit), probably.
I liked her
Felix is based

guy on the right here was one of the first gay teens on TV. He even moved in with his gay teacher which was a weird plotline for 1994 imo.
how can I turn gay? im tired of putting up with women's bullshit
Titus
This one was obviously lesbian but she was to naive to realize it by herself
Just become a shut-in and masturbate to porn like the rest of us.
Crazy Ex-Girlfriend does gay and bi pretty solid

Because I'm CIA. I'm Central. I'm Intelligence. I'm Agency. I'm a manlet, I'm a babylegs. I'm a shorty, beltyboy, aircraft autist, inquirer, I'm baned. I'm that arsetta bandit. I call Ittin. I'm a cargo pants arsed, hookedbelting, shitcuffing, mask puller. I grab the prize with Maimen. I power stand at the other side of the plane. I am Moses in the parting of the hooded dudes. I crash and I am crashed. I ask and I'm punched, I shoot them and throw them and every single hired gun's had the fucking worst flight of his life. And I'm Not, a hothead. if there's one big bastard in this flight plan, it's this large firestarter here. So congratulations, Bane. You got yourself caught.
a cute
This dude was for real one of the best characters on the show. I fucking loved every second he was on screen. I also loved that he was a secret Jew.
show name?
Penny Dreadful
Penny Dreadful. Gothic drama/horror with Eva Green and Timothy Dalton. It's pretty good.
The guy got a tedious exposition role in a sombre series and managed to lift it every second he was on screen

he's never shown as being anything other than heterosexual, but it's still pretty obvious he swings both ways
...
if anything he's proof that you cant say characters like HIM, spongebob and the red guy are gay.
even though he has the stereotypical elements associated with gay men, he's straight up attracted to women
You
someone post that clip of CIA on queer as folk
wut
Hedwig and the Angry Inch

Did James Dean fuck Sal Mineo?

what was the nature of his, robin williams' and nathan lane's relationship?

Housekeeper
Both of em
Dumbledore
yes
Yeah HIM was definitely gay. Funnily enough hes also the devil. What did Gennedy mean by this?
He was just flamboyant as fuck. Also by looks of how the future was presented, it seemed like the whole cross dressing thing became a future fashion statement.
>Yeah HIM was definitely gay.
wrong. HIM was definitely an effeminate crossdresser
What the actual fuck is this bitch talking about? I hated her so much on the show but now she makes these videos and I don't know how to feel.
she's literally the best thing to ever come out of the show
underrate movie
...
I know, she's a fucking mess
>Get a fuckin job, do that challenge
red guy > him
Easily one of my favorite movies of all time.
The "FUCK THE SHRIMP!" scene always brings tears to my eyes.
For me it's when Albert thinks he sees Armand flirting with his ex-wife and storms out to the car in a fury, but bumps the car horn as he gets in and lets out a girly "AHHHHH!"
I PIERCED THE TOAST
AL YOU OLD SO AND SO
You pierced the toast! So what?!
Well, I guess I'm about to watch that movie.
>tfw Aku killed The Powerpuff Girls and destroyed Townsville (and probably destroyed or enslaved Him)
MADONNA MADONNA MADONNA
OR TWILA TWILA TWILA
but in your mind
>It's pretty gay
ftfy
...
shes probably the best example. Doesnt rub it in everyones face, and isnt used as some SJW soapbox mouth piece
she just so happens to be gay and her world revolves around that, not the other way around
But is it a decent show? I've barely heard anything about it
It's decent overall. First two seasons are very flawed, they're too slow and dragged out, and the plot gets super convoluted.
The third season is superb though, and sort of standalone but not quite enough to watch it without seeing the first two. The fourth season is also good, but shortened.
There doesn't have to be a point. Gay characters can just be gay without making it a thing
season 1 and 2 are meh
season 3 is GOAT, one of the best cop dramas ive watched in a while
season 4 is meh to mediocre
it takes one case per season and they spend the entire season on that alone, so its a lot of red herrings if you dont mind that. Its better then everything conveniently wrapping up in 10 minutes like law and order or CSI. It was never that popular to begin with, it got canned after season 2, then brought back for season 3 and 4 tried to wrap things up but was sloppy. It was a slow burn and awkward finish. the plus side is you dont have to watch the first 2 seasons to watch season 3, all you need to know is linden is a shit cop and had an unsolved case from her past that makes her even more naive
David, Six Feet Under. Actually one of my least favorite characters on the show, but hey, that show knew how to do characters.
you know he doesn't have to be gay he could just be fucking weird.
pretty underated, ive tired to make several threads on it before but they dont go anywhere. the show just wasnt as popular and AMC sure as shit didnt care about it like they did memeing bad or mad men. Season 3 is great, the bullet/holder relationship is one of the best pairings on tv and it gets bonues points for being a cop show that doesnt take place in NYC, Los Angeles or Miami
>dat comfy opening with the rainy seattle setting
>youtube.com
Pretty eyes.
you can watch it on youtube I think, at least season 3
