Is this worth watching? Does it speed through its 3 hour runtime like wolf of Wall Street?

>no female characters

coincidence or ..?

It's Scorcese, even his worst is still worth watching... Though I did fall asleep during my first two attempts at viewing.

>Is this worth watching?
Yes.

>Does it speed through its 3 hour runtime like wolf of Wall Street?
No.

I liked it quite a bit. It's a very different film experience than anything else Scorsese has made, it's very contemplative and meditative at times yet it can also be brutal and very visceral. I enjoy how even-handed he treated the subject matter, the Japanese aren't bigoted villains and the Portuguese aren't martyrs.

This thread makes me depressed because of how true it all is.

Three of these, yes.
No issue with attractive men though.

the uglier the people the purer the kino

>anti multi-cultural film
seems people only get away with this when the "bad" culture is Christianity

you 100% missed the point
this is a Catholic film

there's no irony in the narrative of men who reject salvation.
