It's a destroyer among the stars

>OP
>Can't make Original Posts
kok

>super star destroyer
>never destroys a single super star
Lucas is a fucking hack

>Star Destroyer
>clearly more akin to a battleship or a cruiser than a destroyer

>Can't destroy stars
You don't know that! I bet it could if it really tried, dickhead!

so did they just repurpose and refit the republican star destroyers?

>"All Terrain"

Brabo Lucas

>ATALAIDFAT

All Terrain As Long As It's Dead Flat Amoured Transport

>Bib Fortuna
>Doesn't wear a bib
>Isn't fortunate
Slow hand clap, Lucas

what the fuck was even the point of a super star destroyer
it just seemed pointlessly large

The Empire took the design from the Venator class destroyers and simply made them better.

So while I'm sure they used Venators during the early days of the Galactic Civil War, I'm sure as time went on they were phased out for Victory Class and Imperial Class destroyers.

That is the Tarkin doctrine for you. Rule through threat of force rather than practical force.

The Death Star is a prime example, the idea was just the knowledge of it existing and what it was capable of would be enough for help keep peace in the galaxy.

Same with the Super Star Destroyer, that is why there were only a handful of them.

>luke skywalker
>only walks on the ground

>it just seemed pointlessly large
>implying pointlessly large ships aren't the best sort of large

Threat of force only works when it is capable of actually producing practical force.
Death Star fulfills this, I don't think a super star destroyer does.

Obligatory.

As a force capable of orbital bombardment? I think it does.

If a Super Star Destroyer entered an orbit, would it collapse under its own weight?

>Star Wars
>The stars aren't actually fighting each other

I mean what the fuck, man.

I think a fleet of regular star destroyers would be more intimidating and more flexible.

kek

>sun crusher
>crushes suns

>cant land
>aerodynamic anyway

I thought it was pretty dumb how that small hammerhead ship was able to push the star destroyer into another one and then shove them both into the station.

Don't we just hear ATATs referred to as "ATAT" in the OT?

I think the EU is just retarded

>Aurra Sing
>She didn't sing in the American 1980s soul group "Aurra"

>didn't chew bacca even once
FUCK THIS GAY GALAXY

>A spaceship that's also a Mary Sue
Bravo Star Wars EU

>Han Solo
>Had a partner
WTF!?!?

They're only called "Imperial Walkers" in the movies.

Not if it was real life.

In universe yes though

>make space station
>give it engines
>make it shaped like a ship
There you go.

>I don't even know what a Mary Sue is anymore
Oh wow.

Very cool.

And pointing!

The terminology is misleading.

The Imperial Navy uses the same capital ship classes, just with "Star" in front of it.

There are "Star Dreadnoughts", "Star Carriers", "Star Cruisers", "Star Frigates", etc.. A "Star Destroyer" is a destroyer-class vessel

You're so full of shit.
