DUDE, THE 60s LMAO

>DUDE, THE 60s LMAO
Why does Sup Forums like this show again?

Because I'm literally Don Draper

because your mother is a whore

>Well written and acted characters with loads of depth to them
>excellent dialogue
>doesn't rely on cheap plot twists or lazy violence and swearing
>great setting

That's funny, yours sucked me off last night

>>Well written and acted characters with loads of depth to them
>>excellent dialogue
>>doesn't rely on cheap plot twists or lazy violence and swearing
>>great setting
So Justified has all that, but obviously it isn't good enough. Why?

When did Sup Forums realise don is a douche?

Sup Forums likes the honest portrayal of corporate alcoholism & the correlating potential for physical abuse of women

Sup Forums is some sick fucks tho.

Could it have been better on a network like HBO where they could do and show what they want?

Hendricks's big tits and ass.

I think they had enough freedom to do what they wanted.

dude drinking liquor all the time at work lmao

dude a bunch of good looking people in nice suits, 60s were totes awesome lmao

The first episode.

At the final scene.

That was the whole point.

i doubt anyone would have shown their tits and this show is not violent. at best we would have gotten a commercial free show (which have been awesome) with more money for set design/costumes and more swearing. maybe a more elaborate flashback to don in korea that wasn't two guys digging a hole. however i doubt it would have ran as long, but that may be a good thing because this show really started spinning its wheels in the last two seasons. overall at amc they had a lot of leeway to examine 60s topics like racism.

>Justified
>Not relying on violence, action and other pro-entertainment sensibility audience pandering schlock tactics
>characters with depth

lmao

Was he /ourguy/?

>not Ken

ken or fast crane

>cop procedurals can't have violence now

this scene? wtf?

They can do what they want but so long as they do they will always be "entertainment" at best instead of elevated art kino.

Don, you drunk fuck. I heard you were knighted by the Queen. She dubbed you Sir Osis of Liver. Your liver is so shrivelled, black and dead that if you put your ear to you side you can hear it say, "whatchu' talkin' bout, Willis?"

Why didn't he just become a standup comedian?
His hillbilly joke had great delivery, and it probably would have cheered up Depression era folk.

>elevated art kino
So this would be Sopranos, The Young Pope among others?

>carousing philanderer goes home to perfect american dream he doesn't even want

really adds the bitters to my old fashioned

Don Drapper is the terrible person you wish you were.

>DUDE,_______ LMAO
Why does Sup Forums like these threads again?

I sleep like a drugged fetus at night with no regrets and no terrible dreams. Don sleeps with the DT's and occasional cold sweats.

Nice try though.

because they can easily be overtaken with actual discussion.

It's an easy way to bait people into defending shows they like, which brings this board closer to serious discussion than most threads.

Because they promote a drop of discussion about whatever the topic is, which is still more discussion than you see in most other threads.

Because I'm literally Roger Sterling

>brings this board closer to serious discussion
It just encourages more bait within the threads themselves and results in shows garnering far too much praise than they should because someone is sentimental about their show when the sentiment hasn't been earned due to shit writing and shit characters

this show had top tier food porn

DT?

Nice digits btw

Kill yourself you fucking dull minded cunt

I guess normies really like it because it's commodity fetishism weaved through lens of politically correct superiority. It denigrates people that lived in a particular era (or so it seems to college-drilled normies watching and writing the show), it has standard American 'I recognize that' plot moments and is overall insulting in the way it treats those less socially conscious people of yore. Lots of schadenfreude to be had and it all stems from backward notion of progress SoCal's scriptwriting clique has.

Right now the most similar show to it is Fargo, bunch of quips and red herrings that lead nowhere.

Every time he made a decision ever

Those two shows aren't similar at all
