Is disney hiding the negative reviews that actually are take into account? ( most people don't go beyond the final score when they read rotten tomatoes )

I literally just got back. I can't post a thread discussing it because fuck Hiro, but Jahns review isn't "wrong".
Pretty much everything he said is true, although I liked the movie.
Probably the third best Marvel flick after Ant-Man and the original Guardians.
But man, the "No Story" meme is fucking true. You could start Guardians of 3 and other than a tiny bit of character development for Quill and the removal of a side character, this film may as well have not existed.
It's really pretty though.
Also;
It weirdly feels confined. Like you get one or two scenes outside of the main action but most of the film feels like it takes place in a few rooms and that the universe is basically empty except for the central characters.

Honestly I was a little disappointed by this one but I think Marvel's on the downswing at this point (Iron Fist anyone?). They have some juice but they're stretching it pretty thin right now.

Winter Soldier was so fucking wretched I turned it off after about 20 minutes. It was worse than the DCEU movies.
All of the Iron Man Movies were kinda sorta barley watchable.

I was annoyed by the Howard The Duck and Stallone cameos though. They should have saved Howard (and later Swamp Thing) for a good Netflix series, and the whole Stallone thing is obviously for part 3, but...it was weird just throwing it in now.

It's not stupid. Yes, technically it's IN the MCU, but it has literally zero connection to any of the other films in regards to narrative or characters. Ego makes exactly ONE mention of something that could connect to the rest of the MCU and I guess Nebula also makes one reference. But absolutely everything that takes place in the film has zero relevance or effect on anything else in the MCU.
