What was the biggest franchise expansion/relocation mistake in history?

What was the biggest franchise expansion/relocation mistake in history?

wh*te "people" to america

idk but minneapolis lakers to LA was the best

Taking all the hockey teams from cold weather areas and putting them in the southern states

Wimbledon FC to Milton Keynes.

Created two absolute scum clubs that shouldn't exist.

this one, plus LA Lakers is a cool name desu

Arsenal relocating to North London

Brooklyn dodgers to la

giving Cleveland a new football team

How do you Americans deal with relocation?
In the UK relocation doesn't exist (at least not on a big level) because there simply isn't enough space anymore.
So how do you deal with your team relocating? For example how would you deal with your team relocating to the other end of the states? Would you still support it or move unto the next nearest team? Then what if a team sets up in your state again (such as when the North Stars relocated to Dallas and then years later Minnesota got a team again in the Minnesota Wild)?

Browns

Same as y’all deal with 6th tiers of fucking football. Just hope to god you don’t relocate or regulate

Sonics to OKC
Chorgers to LA
Not moving Saints to San Antonio

Getting relegated is nothing like relocation though, it's still your team whether you play in the top division or fifth division

OKC move was a great thing for the economy of that city. Sucks for the people of Seattle though.

Xeattle doesnt deserve nice things. Hope the Shehawks relocate to Portland

>In the UK relocation doesn't exist (at least not on a big level)
Arsenal

Normally 1 of 3 things happen

1. The city that is the victim of relocation is indifferent as fuck for the most part because the team is so bad, or has so little presence in the city, they just don't care anymore. Examples:
>Rams leaving St. Louis
>Flames leaving Atlanta
>Thrashers leaving Atlanta

2. The relocations sours the league's reputation in the market the team was taken from, cities are used as relocation bait as a result. the bitterness normally lingers decades after the team relocates. Examples:
>Sonics leaving Seattle
>Nordiques leaving Quebec City
>Chargers leaving San Diego

3. The league realizes it's mistake/can't stop the owner from moving and grants the market an expansion team relatively quickly, normally after a new arena has been built. Examples:
>Cleveland getting the expansion Browns after the Browns leave
>Charlotte getting the expansion Bobcats after the Hornets leave
>Seattle getting the expansion Mariners after the Pilots leave, plus a lengthy lawsuit

This is the correct answer

In terms of relocation, the only teams that moved to hot, sunbelt areas are the Stars, Hurricanes, and Coyotes.

Avs and Jets are fine in my book.
