Give me the DEFINITIVE STAR WARS VIEWING ORDER

Give me the DEFINITIVE STAR WARS VIEWING ORDER

Hard mode: include Rogue One
Satan mode: include Rogue One AND The Clone Wars cartoon AND Star Wars Rebels

>Just watch 4,5,6 xD
Nobody thinks you are funny or smart

in order of them being made is objectively the best answer for any series of films

3 r1 4 5 end

>one jump from the top of the sand crawler
>falls off
SOMETIMES IT GETS SO FUCKING DARK IN HERE

The correct order;

EP1 - EP2 - EP3 - ROGUE ONE - EP 4 - EP5 - EP6 - EP7

What's so hard to understand?

>4
>5
>Topher Grace's edit of PT
>R1
>6
>7
>8

4 > 5 > 1 > 2 > CW > 3 > 6 > Rebels > R1 > 7

4-5-6-1-2-3

Those are the only feature-length Star Wars films ever produced.

For Satan Mode;

EP1 - EP2 - Clone Wars Cartoon - EP3 - ROGUE ONE - Star Wars Rebels - EP 4 - EP5 - EP6 - EP7

??? Just watch the fucking movies in order.

What he said.

And why the fuck would you want to watch either TCW or Rebels unless you enjoy a mediocre series, have abysmal standards, and can stand watching three-part episodes where literally nothing happens and could be cut down to 20 minutes at most. That's TCW.
Rebels, on the other hand, is just cringeworthy and occasionally stupid. Its writing is even more mediocre than TCW and the few highlights it has (Darth Maul, Ahsoka) are all from its precedessor. Even then, guys like Thrawn are stereotypical villains that barely do shit and, while portrayed as smart, are really just baffoons for the most part.

Rogue One is Star Wars without its characters, it has a lot more fast-paced action than the usual Star Wars movie. It is fine for what it is and certainly is a fine expansion to the universe, albeit its cast is emotionally useless.

>4, 5, 6
>1, 2
>CW, TCW
>3
>Rebels
>Rogue One
>7

1 is not even necessary at all and can be skipped, but I included it anyways since the list already includes "pls include rebels", so what the fuck. Might as well.
Most of this shit is in release order, except 7. Might as well watch that last because it's the latest movie (next to Rogue One) and is also set in the future.

Also, of course, one does not need to see the prequels first just because they come first, chronologically speaking. They're less emotional investive because they're thinner characters. They work better once you actually get to know them through 4, 5, 6. Even the emperor... he at least has some mystique that otherwise gets destroyed in 2 and 3.

>no Ewok Adventures
Try again.

Rebels takes place before Rogue One you fucking idiot.

Release

Wow, that was hard.

>??? Just watch the fucking movies in order.
Chronological or numerical? Because the latter ruins EPV's big surprises, and is therefore an objectively inferior watching order.

Dude, I literally gave the list in the same post.

4 5 6 1 2 3 4 5 6 1 4 5 2 3 6

Episode 4 again. Fight me

Christmas watch Episode 8 in theaters

Watch them in order of release.

Why even make prequels if everyone's just going to watch them the wrong way?

Because it makes money and can tell the badly written origins of many characters.

You go release order
Ep 4
Ep 5
Ep 6
Ep 1
Ep 2
Ep 3
All 6 seasons of TCW including the unfinished reels.
The first 2 seasons of Rebels
Ep 7
The first half of the third season of Rebels
Rogue One
The second half of the third season of rebels.

Clone Wars - Rebels - Rogue One - 4 - 5 - 6 -7

Who cares.

The prequels aren't really worthwhile movies and they were made mostly for profit and partly to elucidate backstory -- which isn't really necessary and takes away the mystery.

Release order is the best way to watch them.

Watch the prequels first up to return of the jedi, to end on a happy note.
pretend ep7 (nu-star wars) doesn't exist.

>not watching them in alphabetical order

Why do people want to watch stuff in anything other than release order? It's what the author intended, so fucking watch it in that order.
The same goes for books, games and whatever else.

>not watching them all simultaneously at 2x speed
plebs the lot of you

>6
>1
>4
>7
>2
>3
>3 once more
>5
>3 again

production order. I feel like if you saw the prequels and Rogue One before the OT, it kind of takes away some of the surprises and the mysteries in the OT. the prequels pretty much spoils the biggest twist in Empire, for example.

Star Wars 1: a new hope
Star Wars 2: THe empire strikes back
Star Wars 3: The Return of the Jedi

thats about it; shit done without Lucas' guidance is not real Star Wars, but just fanfiction

Where does the holiday special fit in?

Same place the prequels go, the trash.

during Christmas, of course. and don't forget to follow it up with RLM's Star Wars Holiday Special two-parter.

1
2
3
4
5
6

4, 5, 3, 6 is a fun order. Episode 3 serves as a kind of flashback in between 5 and 6 after the big Vader reveal, and avoids a lot of the awful plot holes set up by 1 or 2.

But honestly you should just watch them in the order that they were made and released. So 4, 5, 6, 1, 2, 3.

Original trilogy
Prequels (can skip Phantom)
2003 Gendy Clone Wars or Clone Wars TV series in between 2 and 3 or after prequels, your call.
Only select episodes of Rebels (mostly the ones involving Maul, Ashoka, and major plot lines involving Erza and the others)
Rouge One
Force Awakens
Then binge on Star Wars memes after.

This. The prequels were made to answer questions had while watching the original trilogy.
"He was a good friend"
"You fought in the Clone Wars?"

Ultimate indisputable edition

>4
>5
>6

>1
>2
>3
>R1

>then watch 6 again to finish it all

7 is utter garbage fanfiction

Watch 4, 5, and 6.

Then try and watch the prequels, and get through 1 and half way though 2, turn it off, and watch 4, 5, and 6 again to remind yourself why you love star wars. Skip the rest of 2, and watch 3. Say that wasn't so bad, the first 20 minutes and last 45 minutes of the movie were actually decent.

Then go for new wars, and watch R1, 4, 5, 6, and 7, then think about watching the cartoons. Start TCW, and can't stand the first two seasons, but skipping to season 3 misses so much character introduction, you have no idea what's going on, and watch 4, 5, and 6 again.

Then 4 months later you get the itch to watch star wars again, and start the vicious cycle all over again.

Just watch the recommended episodes of TCW.

...

1,2, the 03 animated clone wars (leads from the end of ep2 to the start of 3) 3, Rouge one,4,5,6,7

Episode 4
Episode 5
Episode 3 (it's a prequel that serves as background to stuff you see in 4 and 5)
Episode 6

The rest of it is pretty bad.

episode 4 then drop because the rest can't even qualify as flicks

>A New Hope
>The Empire Strikes Back
>Return of the Jedi
>The Phantom Menace
>Attack of the Clones
>Both Clone Wars shows (watch the Gendy version until Anakin is knighted, then all of the CGI version, then finish the Gendy version)
>Revenge of the Sith
>Rebels
>Rogue One
>OT again
>The Force Awakens

>>implying they made Star Wars after the 80s

I swear to god people, stop sharing the outdated version.

end

what the fuck is this shit? what do the colors mean?

Objectively correct.

4,5,1-3,R1,6,7 Fuck the cartoons

Watch them in episodic order with RO between 3 and 4.
Seeing how shit the prequels are will really make you appreciate the OT.

This is actually one of the more reasonable replies in this thread

None

1-3 R1 4-6

Thanks to the inclusion of Bail Organa in Rogue One you must now watch all the films in numbericsk order

Bail also features in Ep2 and 3

are you fucking retarded?

Original(preferably the original versions if you can find them)
Prequel(Clone war cartoon shorts if you want before Episode 3)
Sequel

The pottery of the prequels can get annoying
