The show ended.

only quasimodo knows

He lived

Some young guy looking to get ahead killed him. Wasn't anyone notable, just a New Yorker with cowboyitis

Meadow unloaded an entire mag into the diner.

This

>some guy killed him
No he didn't. You didn't watch it, did you?

He's sitting at the booth and it cuts to black. Nobody shot him. You fucking idiot

he got shot in the face and died. only a literal moron would dare dispute it. you'd have to be a real imbecile to think he lived. a true fool

he had dinner with his family and lived. only a literal moron would dare dispute it. you'd have to be a real imbecile to think he lived. a true fool

I have to agree. The killer went into the bathroom to get a blind angle at Tony.

he ded

He stopped believing

or he believed so much that he attained CHIM and ended the show

>>rich
>>powerful

why did he marry ugly ass carmela?

it didn't matter because he could fuck a hot woman at any given moment

he just married whoever was mother material

still, i would marry someone hot and pleasing to the eyes even if i'm going to cheat on her

Link me to the clip of him getting shot.

Go on.

I'll wait.

Do you also not believe in vitamins because you can't physically see them?

>he's never seen a multi-vitamin

youtu.be/jUjbDK8trBA

But we can see vitamins you fucking idiot.

So basically you admit that you can't show me a clip of Tony getting shot in the final episode?

I knew it, because I've watched it, and he doesn't get shot. Idiot.

He survived that you fucking moron.

The camera angles suggest that he does get shot. There was an article i read that pointed out the sequence of shots that happened in that scene when someone walked into the diner
>Bell rings
>Tony looks up
>Shot of whatever entered the door
Those shots are from Tony's POV and the cut to black means he can't see shit anymore

Meadow came in to ask Tony to park her car. Haha, women, huh?

It's a brainlet bait. Everything points to him getting shot, but there's no motivation or a reason for it, as all disputes are settled.

Brainlets look into every little detail while missing the big picture.

>No motivation

Tony pissed off a lot of people.

Carm was easily the best female-related choice he made in his life. Every other woman he was involved with was a way to get closer to his mother. Narcissistic, antagonistic personalities. Carm was his rock and an angel in comparison.

Now, here you see the brainlet meltdown. When he notices how all the reddit posts and epic theories he read about foreshadowing, all the bobby quotes are pure bullshit, he resorts to pathetic mental gymnastics.

>dude it just do lol

>wake up
>wipe the cigar ashes, tomato sauce, stripper glitter and gabagool grease from my polyester short-sleeved collared bowling shirt
>breathe heavily and as loudly as possible on my trek down the stairs and across my McMansion to the kitchen (probably the most exercise I've done in years, I never did have the makings of a varsity athlete)
>fix myself a hearty plate of gabagool with a side of gabagool
>pour myself a glass of Tropicana™ with some pulp to wash down the diabetes
>here comes A.J down the stairs
>it's been a good week for him, he only attempted suicide 5 times and he got an F+ on his community college Remedial Arithmetic quiz
>I'm proud of him
>So proud of him that I take him outside to see his new car. My son only drives the best
>A brand-new stretch hummer limo. The safest money could buy, and it gets ten feet to the gallon
>A.J. starts bitching about the environment
>Tell him I'll throw his ass back in the pool if he doesn't shut the fuck up and get in the hummer limo
>He gets in, the hummer limo immediately bursts into flames
>A.J. survives, is angry he's still alive and goes back up to his room to jerk off to interracial porn
>Carmela arrives, she's back from the gabagool market
>She presents to me crates, barrels, backpacks and suitcases packed to the brim with delicious gabagool
>"It took me hours to gather all this gabagool, Tony. A thank you would be nice."
>Give her a gabagool and cigar flavored kiss on the cheek and a crisp $100 bill, and pat her on the head. That'll do, Carm, that'll do.
>Phone rings, it's Meadow
>Everything goes to black, there's no punchline. Fuck you, lmao!

What theories? The writers inserted a statement in a previous episode that said you never see the bullet coming that kills you, and that's the ending sayeth they.

inb4 u took da b8

Not to mention the whole bit about Meadow not being able to park. If she had sat next Tony in time, she would have saved him by obstructing the view, like in that early episode where they went collage hunting.

I always thought he got shot, given that quote in an earlier episode about how you won't see it when it comes. (I don't remember where.)

This is pretty good.

Davis Chase decided he didn't want an official end because he was considering making a movie so he ended it like that to leave it open ended.

His own crew whacked him. It was implied trough the whole episode. They talk behind his back in the safe house, his biggest earner flipped on him, Patsy and Paulie thought there were next on the chopping block after witnessing Tony murder his own men for years. Not to mention they probably resent him for not shaking hands with Phil and getting Bobby and Sil fucked.

The fact that this story was never fully resolved goes to show you something.

this, it was confirmed this was the case too

youtube.com/watch?v=MjohsyoJjao

This desu.

It's also a fitting end to a character that we've now fully realized is a piece of shit, and we only like him because we were looking at his perspective all along. The instantaneous and empty delivery fits the theme of the entire show.

He absolutely dies, brainlets out.

Even if he got through that dinner, how much longer would he last? Days? Weeks maybe? He's fucked over or been fucked over by virtually everyone he held close. There are threats everywhere, outside and in. New York certainly isn't going to forgive him for the war, they probably have goombas lining up to take a shot at Tony. Better yet, they'll turn some low level guy in his crew. The old guard is all but gone and there are plenty of ambitious young guys on the Jersey side looking to move up.

So he leaves the diner alive, what then? There will be guys waiting outside, at his home, at the club, at the restaurant, maybe his driver will whack him. He might get out of that night alive but his days are in the single digits.

let's discuss things more interesting than whether or not he died (which is the least important part of the ending) - like this shot here, for instance.

Elaborate.

If you fancy looking deeper into this show, give this essay a read, it makes you appreciate the ending more

masterofsopranos.wordpress.com/the-sopranos-definitive-explanation-of-the-end/

kekked

It undercuts the real spiritual message of the ending in my opinion. Chase was never as preoccupied with form as that analysis makes him seem.

Give us your take on the ending.

>Tony gets more and more paranoid at the diner
>Meadow arrives and startles Tony
>BRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAP
>"actor James Gandolfini had a heart attack while eating gabagool last night"

She probably looked better younger. Most women don't look like total babes after two children in their 40s

Every time I watch it feel something else. I think the fact that the "Members Only" guy is a splitting image of Johnny Boy is more significant than people think, something to do with how the image of Tony's father never stops hanging over him and dictating what he does, or something.

I think the fact that we never get to see Meadow united with him again in the diner speaks to something regarding his separation from everyone around him, his inability to be honest and truly together with them. I think it's the best ending of anything I've ever seen, and the final spoken lines encapsulate the Soprano arc and life itself perfectly;

>A.J.: Focus on the good times.
>Tony: Don't be sarcastic.
>A.J.: Isn't that what you said one time? Try to remember the times that were good?
>Tony: I did?
>A.J.: Yeah.
>Tony: Well, it's true, I guess.
>[the waitress arrives with a bowl of onion rings]
>Tony: I ordered something for the table.

You... I like you

You never hear the shot that kills you.

Bobby almost certainly did, he ate more shots than Sasha Grey

I think that's pretty great, never thought about it that way.

I love it to death. The shots of Meadow trying and failing to park her car repeatedly cut over the "streetlight people searching in the night" speak to a greater truth about this shit - life is going on all around us, on every street corner, people are trying to make their way through it in whatever way they can, and we probably don't even notice. It gets me real emotional when I watch it nowadays, more than it used to, the more I recognize how truthful it is.

remember when is the lowest form of conversation

They should put your piece in the essay desu

>he had dinner and lived
>you'd have to be a real imbecile to think he lived

Fucked that up a bit did ya?

The Vipers got revenge

...

>when you realized the vipers where not to be messed with

You are the only other person that ive ever seen referance how the members only guy looked like Johnny

It was the T-1000s wifes cousin. She was devastated about how Tony ruined their families life and her cousin took revenge

KEK

you know Quasimodo predicted all this

You mean Notradamus?

cazzata malanga

Finn DeTrolio. My arch-nemesis

...

...

...

You know Christopher murdered that biker over that wine

BLOWIN' ROADIES?
Why does Tony walk away? Did he not park in the driveway?

That gay shit with Vito and Johhny-Cakes made me very uncomfortable.

He was way out of line fucking with the Vipers.

It's cute though.

During that moment of darkness his his head was faceplanted into a bowl of onion rings with a big holy in his head, while Carmella and Anthony sat there in shock, carmella screaming and AJ having a look of shock and disgust that hes covered in blood and brain spatter. Meadow also standing at the door in shock, not moving as the assassin pushes past her as she stares at her fathers body and her family running out of the booth, she doesn't hear the whole restraunt screaming in terror at what just happened.

Tony was also most likely shot a few more times in the back/shoulder area just to make sure he died.

Onion rings were wasted, and a part of AJ wish he had a few more before they got soiled

not confirmed dead

He stopped believing

I think it was brilliant, honestly. It fits the show somehow, but it's my baser instincts that make me feel uncomfortable watching the passionate kissing between an obese wise guy and a fireman with handlebars.

I'm so glad they chose that song for the send-off

We "the viewer" got shot in the head by the guy in the Members only jacket after he went and retrieved his gun from the bathroom.

You're missing the entire point if you wonder what happened and think it was a cliffhanger

tony is kill

I like this game. You can say "you're missing the point if _insert thing that happened that they paid tens of thousands of dollars to film and was scrutinized by writers to say exactly what they wanted_" and you seem COOL and SMART

bait

Yeah they said what they wanted to say

And you missed the point of what they were saying

...

top lad

I've never played MGS in my entire life

He probably got

Me neither, I'm just in it for the memes
