The UN response during the Ebola crisis was pathetic. WHO forgot it was actually the World Health Organization and did nothing but issue press releases hoping that another world health organization would step up. The UN is largely a waste of money. They never quite manage to help any nation 'develop'. China accepted no help, guidance or money from the UN to develop and they're doing pretty well
