Can anyone explain this shit to me? no I am not talking about the tax/free guns side of it

Can anyone explain this shit to me? no I am not talking about the tax/free guns side of it.

Americans are stupid. It is known.

I wish everyone in the world was required by law to have a gun at all times.
It would fix so many problems in so many ways.

Are you really a Russian?

You can buy a gun just like you can buy health care.

Firearms are a tool of self defense against both foreign and domestic threats.
Healthcare is a form of slavery by the government.

>Healthcare is a form of slavery

Friggin rights boys, that is some American-tier stupidity you fucking goof

Total healthcare cost including private and public is almost 4 trillion.

Once the government is even more involved it will be even more.

We will go broke

Because healthcare costs money. Some people either don't want or need healthcare. There are those that would like nothing better than to give everyone healthcare for free. It would still need to be payed for, doctors wont work for free. The only way you could pay for it is by taxing the fuck out of everyone. Effectively forcing everyone to pay for others healthcare. So, you're forcing people to buy a product they might not want/need and you're forcing them to pay for others as well.

We're not forced to buy a gun, we don't want to be forced to buy healthcare..for anyone. Its a simple concept.

We already are going broke.

...

free healthare isn't a god-given right recognized in the constitution :^)

Forcing doctors to work for the government and having to practice medicine their way or find another job is like slavery. Under government healthcare, a surgeon can't opt out of morally disagreeable practices.
For instance, in Canada law, doctors who refuse to perform circumcision can be charged by the government and have their medical license taken away

wtf i hate logic now

It is not their job to make moral decisions, mate, only medical ones.

Doctors are not sacred cows, they are just employees like any other and can be made to work like any other worker.

We don't get free firearms from the government,

Negative and positive rights.

It is their job if they are private. This is what's wrong with socialized healthcare. You wouldn't threaten a construction company with fines or license removal for turning down a job.

Your reading comprehension is shite.

Why do you get to decide what is negative or positive?

You are literally the conservative stereotype

They know that well before they choose to become a Doctor in Canada, it is not anything new, what is the problem?

>Spend trillions on arms and wars
>kill and get killed
>make the rich even richer
>but healthcare 4 everyone is bad

American logic

It isn't free, OHIP here costs a fuck ton in taxes and most of the services are used by brown people who go to the hospital instead of getting a family doctor meaning that if you need to go to the hospital good luck getting seen in a reasonable amount of time

>and can be made to work like any other worker

You'd fit in well in a North Korean state work camp.

Thanks.

wtf i hate gop now

Human life is worthless.

does Australia even have a government right now?

I remember there was a vote and nobody won.

>I am not talking about the tax/free guns side of it.
That's literally it, though. If there was a government program to buy everyone a gun with tax money, I would oppose it. Likewise, everyone should be allowed to buy their own guns and healthcare.

>forcing

They aren't forced, they can leave whenever they want.
It's like saying police officers are slaves.
There can be both public and private clinics, user

That's why most of our doctors leave the country. We have a doctor shortage because of healthcare

Yawn, you have the exact same culture at them. You only need to look at the apoplectic rage shown by wage slaves (hereafter referred to as wagies) toward anyone who chooses not to work.

this

>it's your own responsibility to protect your life
>it's other peoples responsibility and your right for them to keep you alive

Which sounds correct to you?

so buy healthcare idiot

No, there can't be private clinics in Canada. All of them are government over watched

>You have the God-given right to own firearms

versus

>You have the state-given right to "free" healthcare. Oh, you don't WANT healthcare? Well you STILL have to pay for it.
>GIVE US YOUR MONEY NOW OR WE WILL IMPRISON YOU FOR NOT PAYING TAXES, COMRADE.

People will fill the spot. Being a doctor is not very difficult, they just lock down the places to artificially drive up wages.

Here in Australia, such efforts at having Universities control Doctor numbers is co-ordinated by the Doctor Union (Australian Medical Association) who also do political lobbying to achieve the same thing.

Do Aussies read differently or are all the words upside down in their books?

>everyone having a gun will make us safer
Is different than
>everyone having healthcare will destroy us
because the government is not issuing an AR and a Glock to every US citizen at the taxpayers expense, with the massive overhead and bureaucracy they would need to pull off such a thing.

It is changing I believe, but in any case that is unique to Canada. Here we have Medicare which is taxpayer-funded and if you wish or if you earn too much you can elect to buy private health cover on top and see your own private doctor and attend private hospital.

No need to in my case, there are plenty of bulk bill (no out of pocket $) doctors around my area with zero wait times, you just walk in and are seen by a GP.

>They can be made to work

Not in a free society you moron. Even in a repressed society, you may be able to make them show up, but you can't make them give a shit about doing a good job.

>God

Oh boy.

One is a given right the other is a privilge

maybe JUST MAYBE if we solve our other interal problems and fix the economy and able to form a surplus budget we might be able to implement a universal healthcare program

>Why do you get to decide what is negative or positive?
It's not an arbitrary decision. It's defined by what's required to exercise the right. Negative rights require nothing but someone else not interfering whereas positive rights require someone else's labor/capital to be expended on your behalf. Free speech is a negative right since all it needs is to not be infringed, whereas healthcare is a positive right since it requires someone else's labor and capital be forcibly given to you.

Because the rich and the poor aren't paying for that healthcare, you doublenigger, the already overburdened and impoverished working class is paying the bill.

That is not the case in the rest of the world.

*tips fedora*

Russians are stupid.

Why is medical bill in America so expensive? Do they have government hospital?

Treatment at my government hospital is virtually free, for citizens.

Leafs are stupid.

sure buddy. Aussies totally aren't stupid (sarcasm)

You are proof Aussies are unbelievable tier stupid

Surplus means the government is taking too much money out of the economy, stupid.

GOP have refused every effort by Obama to reduce the deficit since 2009 and still he has managed to get it down to record lows.

>Being a doctor is not very difficult

Holy shit, you got the retardation don't you? I'm so sorry.

Ya fuckin goof

The NHS costs 154 billion dollars (116B pounds) per year, and there are less than 30 million tax payers in the UK. So healthcare costs on average over 5100 usd per year, or about 3900 UK pounds per tax payer.

Of course this cost isnt spread equally, probably I'm probably "charged" 3X that amount because I am a higher earner, some of the tax payers are barely paying tax.

Whatever you do America, dont do socialised healthcare.

Literally being a paid shill.
>Literally being a paid shill.

Don't forget to sage this faggot, folks.

Leaves*

...

>being a doctor is not very difficult
Only the hardest job to get in the world besides higher level doctors.

>looks like your leg is broken, gonna have to amputate
>w-wait, shouldn't you at least x-ray? Maybe set it and put in a cast?
>Well I'm paid by the gov in peanuts, so your best interest is not in my best interest, so no.
>Fine, I'll set it and cast it myself
>'fraid I can't let you. Since the gov controls healthcare now, they decided it was too dangerous to let people medicate themselves, so you must receive the care I provide you

government healthcare everybody

>You have stomach virus, here are antibiotics
>You have infection, here are antibiotics

Anyone else:
>Here is referral to a specialist

Simple, really.

Obongo is a clown m8

Doctor's aren't leaving the country. If anything, too many specialists are coming to Canada. Every other doctor in my hometown was originally from South Africa.

What we do have a shortage of is GP's, family doctors, at least in BC. Being a GP doesn't pay as well as being a specialist.

/Thread
>Government breaks medical care
>We need to turn over medical care to government to fix it

stfu idiot

Strawman argument. The GOP isn't trying to ban healthcare. The Democrats are trying to ban guns.

Since when does the government take my tax money to give niggers free guns?

Read the rest of my post, I already covered this. It is not very difficult to perform, it is just heavily restricted entry to drive up wages artificially and make it highly desirable.

It does not take a very high level of intellect to perform as an MD, your average law or accountancy student could do it quite easily.

...

Cost to the government due to me owning a gun and operating it legally: $0

Cost to the government due to covering my healthcare while not regulating the amount of sugar, alcohol, and tobacco, I can ingest: hundreds of thousands of dollars

You couldn't figure that out?

That's already true in Svalbard. The reason is protection from polar bears.

>Guns

Because the Jews weren't prepared for government tyranny is why they are now ashes. To think that we live in age where tyranny does not exist is ignorance. Self defense is necessary, with precautions of course.

>Healthcare

We're trillions of dollars in debt. "Let's make everything free. That'll help." Yeah, no. I understand wanting to help others. But, I also understand rough economica, and healthcare for everybody doesn't work.

>Something has been around for a long time
>So it's okay and you should just deal with it
Kys

The government didn't break it. Rent-seeking healthcare providers and greedy insurers did.

It is a strawman anyway

>individuals pay for one, regulate themselves
>individual dictates what they want and qualify for
>government pays for and regulates the other
>dicates what the individual qualifies for/can get

Gee I fucking wonderf
It's almost like you're trying to set up an equivocation between two things that are completely fucking different.

If only there was a word for such a bad argument, maybe "these things aren't the same in any aspect"

...

Doctors have rights too. Given the shit they go through to get their degree, you'd at least give them the chance to perform the work they're comfortable with. They didn't waste 12 years of their lives and who knows how much money just so some asshat demand his/her service out of the blue

Wow, I have no words other than, please don't reproduce.

>average law or accountancy student
Yeah no shit because those jobs require a ton of intelligence too. You need to read a shit ton for it.

In pic related, would you rather have a gun or free health care? Three guns? .454 Casull?

This.

Here in Hungary, we have a 27% tax rate, and our healthcare is just horrible.

Almost anyone with a meaningful degree and some language skills goes abroad, so due to the lack of workforce those who are stuck here have to work 10~12 hours a day for minimal wage (roughly 4'000 USD/year); not to mention how outdated the equipment is. Hell, most of the stuff they use in the hospitals was probably left here by the Soviest...

...

>The government didn't break it.
>Government enforces protectionist laws that protect doctors and hospitals already in the market and severely limiting can be doctors and driving prices up
>This is the fault of the market
No
This observation goes back to Adam Smith and proven time and time again

I understand your point though because sometimes engineers switch to Medicine, and as my dad said if an engineer can do something anyone can.

The thread was over, but this just reinforced it

Sounds ironical but it's true. Read "the fate of empires" by Glubb. The welfare state is a characteristical thing on decadent civilizations, also liberalism and frivolity. Strong empires are angry, armed and religious.

Healthcare for everyone is too expensive, partly because our government is so corrupt and inefficient, but also because our government has created a lot of dead weight dragging us down in the form of minorities, illegals, and the impoverished masses. Not to mention, unlike other countries, we are the superpower that provides security and military support for pretty much the entire western world.

...

>implying I could ever find a woman willing to let me impregnate her anyway

And an accountant does not earn even 1/3 of a MD earns, for simple reason that Doctor's unions conspire to restrict entry into that profession to drive up wages.

No one is buying guns with other people's money.

>Cost to the government due to me owning a gun and operating it legally: $0
Actually negative because the gov taxes your sale of the gun.

>Cost to the government due to covering my healthcare while not regulating the amount of sugar, alcohol, and tobacco, I can ingest: hundreds of thousands of dollars
It does tho.

Do you know what a strawman argument is?

gun are free in the US?

>>'fraid I can't let you. Since the gov controls healthcare now, they decided it was too dangerous to let people medicate themselves, so you must receive the care I provide you
Thats what americucks actually believe.

As an electrical engineer I do take offence to that. Not many people could do my job, in my opinion. It requires a very high level of intelligence.

So are you.

Trying to explain the difference between positive and negative rights to foreigners is more futile than driving to Hawaii

...

Why must I pay for treating a gangbanger's 3rd gunshot wound this week?
