It would be so much better growing up in the 80s. More jobs, easier to get into college. No snapchat, less chavs, and the most important one, no dirty fucking muzzies. I also love these films. My favourite trilogy of all time
Jesus gen x, could you be any more bitter about how the world has changed?
I'm 34 and your obviously not even 18
80s nostalgia from kids born in the 90s is so embarrassing
Fuck off it really wasn't that great
born 82 here
your a faggot, it was much better overall with some exceptions
not having access to the internet would be awful though
imagine having to run to the fucking library for every piece of information you need, not to mention easy access to porn and movies
That is true, that's one better thing we have now, but that's a technology issue, everything else was better, peoples attitudes, economy, better tastes, etc.
The 90s were infinitely superior, you had much more modern conveniences without all the bullshit of a post-9/11 world, and if you're American in particular you had the whole economic boom thing going on. Quality of life in the 1990s was much better than the 1980s, all the 80s nostalgia faggots are children who think it was all like their videogames and movies.
Exceptions like you lost your sippy cup.
If you were born in '82 you have little solid memory of the entire first half of the decade and were still a little child until the early-mid '90s, you don't know jack.
>It's a "kid born in 1999 telling me how much better the 90's were" episode
I don't mind the library
You're not a millennial, you just wish you were and that's one half of the source of your bitterness.
Millennials started being born in 1980, genius
Millennials are 1980 or above retard
That all goes hand in hand, with the Internet/technology though
>The global economy is as big as ever now because of the Internet/technology, but powerful people are making sure that only they get to reap the benefits
>People in 1980s may have seemed happier than today, but that's probably because of lack of social media and Internet showing how dumb and shitty people could act.
>People in 1980s may have seemed happier than today, but that's probably because of lack of social media and Internet showing how dumb and shitty people could act.
this
*BURP* Marty we need to go back in time
I saw this post on reddit yesterday that was something like
50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s all had distinct characteristics but the past 17 years seems like a indistinguishable fog
seems about right
literally one of the stupidest posts i've ever seen refrain from posting again
B T F O
> but that's probably because of lack of social media and Internet showing how dumb and shitty people could act.
you're either an edgy fedoralord or a hopeless oldfart. people act way worse in real life and give you more reasons to hate them than on the internet
literally a millenial.
kek.
>doc could have stopped 9/11 but didnt
Dude...
>"They're growing up in 2015, that's the problem! We need to take them back here to 1985 where everything is not shit!"
>50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s all had distinct characteristics but the past 17 years seems like a indistinguishable fog
This is literally true
Sometime, but let's be honest, we call people "niggers" online a lot more than we do to people's faces in person
Yeah, and? I never denied I was one.
I was born in 83 and I refuse to believe I'm a millenial. I'm Generation Y. The "in middle school when AOL was big, watched 9/11 in a high school/ college class room" generation.
The 20's, the 50's and the 80's were literally the the three golden ages of America, economically, socially and culturally
Reagan wasn't a saint but fuck anyone who says he was a bad president
Gen Y and Millennial's are the same
>I'm a millenial. I'm Generation Y.
Y'know, those are the same thing, you dullard.
It's hilarious how typically-Millennial that is:
>I dislike my generation, so I'm no longer part of it
I was born in 87 and I'm a Millennial; you're a Millennial; people born in 99 are Millennials; the vast-majority of Sup Forums are Millennials.
Deal with it.
Nah. Youre a millenial because you were literally a child when 9/11 happened. I was already 18. I enlisted and went to war while you were playing Halo.
If you were born between 1980 and 1995 your a millennial
Prove you were alive during Reagan presidency.
gen y and millennial is the same thing moron
I remember when McDonalds fry's tasted good
>your
I bet your life is shit. How much did you make last year, Mr Born in 82 and doesnt know your and you're?
w2c red shirt?
I'm going to play Devil's Advocate and say that the 10's have defining characteristics (Minimalism/flat/overtly simplistic design peppered with humanistic sans-serif fonts, hipsters for the early parts carried over from the late 00's and normcore for the latter, everything is whitewashed for maximum appeal with silly ukelele overtures and generally tries to be inoffensive in the face of a multicultural society.) , but yeah, nowhere near the the level of pre-millenium decades, but definately more than the 00's.

I CORRECTED HIS INSIGNIFICANT GRAMMAR ON A CHINESE CHECKERS FORUM BOY I SURE SHOWED HIM
>Saying nigger online is bad.
> I rather have a tranny in public say" excuse you" while he flips you and your son off.
Sorry, I'll take the internet every time. It's the only place you can get shit off your chest without being called a racist.
The world is antiwhite, antifamily.
Wanna come hang out at the mall?
I don't really like social situations, so no.
Timeless looks and hair styles, would totally go for that look
Yeah, your grammar is pretty insignificant, mr. born-in-the-wrong-generation
Is that mad max?
>You must be 18 or older to post here
DOES ANYONE ELSE THINK THAT THINGS WERE BETTER IN THE PAST THAN THEY ARE TODAY I WAS BORN IN LE WRONG GENERATION LOL
see
If you were born before 1990 you're not really a millennial. Early year millenials have much more in common with Gen X.
You should follow your own advice and get back to commenting Queen and Metallica videos on Youtube
Shouldn't you be at school?
Fuckin got em little buddy. High five.
>but fuck anyone says he was a bad president
Boland Amendment and guns for coke
Covering up El Mozote Massacre and destroying the careers of the journalists who reported on it
Death squad commanders dancing at his inauguration ball
Afghan freedom fighters
Dog Whistle tactics in elections
Not true, 80s babies are definitely in the millennial group
>easier to get into college
Colleges used to be more selective before they were admitting 2/3 of the graduating high school students, dumbass.
got a kek out of me. thanks OP
>imagine having to run to the fucking library for every piece of information you need
Yeah, back then you had to actually refrain from talking about shit you knew nothing about because you couldn't pop open a tab on your browser and take a 2 minute course from professor Google.
They're grouped together, but it's nothing more than a span of years. Someone who grew up in the late 80s-early 90s is very different than someone who grew up in the late 90s - 2000s. It's not a bad or good thing, they're just two distinct groups of people.
I'm white. I would be fine
Maybe people born in the early 80s, but from the mid 80s up people were coming of age during the whole web 2.0 thing
Nah, my dad told me that if you applied to a state school and had a C-average or better you were pretty much guaranteed admission. Sure, Harvard or MIT were always elite but if you had the money and the desire you could easily get into a decent school.
I was born in 1971
I can tell you young fags that the internet has ruined the meaning of life and that everything past 1998 has been fucking gay
>people born in 99 are Millennials
Wrong
Why does Sup Forums ruthlessly mock millenials when a good majority of them are millenials?
>"Marty, we have to go to 2015 now!"
>"Why Doc, what happens? Are we in trouble!"
>"No, it's your kids, Marty!"
>>"What? What happens to them?"
>"They're growing up in 2015, that's the problem! We need to take them back here to 1985 before Drumpf gets elected!"
FTFY
t. poofster born during the time of bell pants and Bee Gees
It's either older millenials that don't think the term applies to them, or actual genZ-ers
I remember a whole summer worth of cartoons being ruined by Oliver North droning on endlessly.
Oh god hang me, I just got why the cartoon characters are named rick and morty
>implying reagan was THAT BAD
You're just a whiner. The 80s economic was FAR better than the shithole economy we have today.
Why are they named Rick and Morty.
GOD DOESN'T EXIST< MORTY
I pity you
You will never experience a life rich with optimism and devoid of crushing cynicism at every turn
Who gives a shit?
Obama did things far worse like fast and furious, bombing countless countries with executive orders, being a corrupt corporate whore.
At least the economy was somewhat decent and people could afford houses and had decent jobs under reagan.
Unlike today's shithole economy.
Fuck you.
Heavy.
marty- morty
but how do you get rick from dr emmett brown
The current economy is a direct result of Reagan's economic policies.
>Reaganomics
>good
I get all my news from Fox, too.
>leftypol
Oh I'm sorry are near 0% interest rates and the result massive economic distortion somehow reagans fault?
Didn't think so.
Kill yourself you economically illiterate faggot.
Your post is rather ironic. Thanks for the laugh.
>BAWWWW I BET YOU WATCH FOX NEWS BLORPF BTFO
lmao you get all of your opinions from bill maher, honestly you're a tool
Reaganomics wasn't perfect but it was far better than the system we have today. At least people had jobs.
Remember that reagan and paul volker saved us from the 70s stagflation under carter.
>rick = richard = dick
>brown
>brown dick
The problem here is that the definition of millenials keeps changing. Basically they won't name the next group. It originally referred to those who were "coming of age near the turn of the millenium". I was born in 1978 and the first time I heard millenial it included me. Although my sister who was born in 1976 is usually considered a late Gen Xer. But gradually millenials has become a way for people to say "those darned kids" without saying that exact phrase and feeling old as balls.
This is like the typical daily show watching/economically illiterate libtard response.
Do you have any opinions of your own?
I don't get it.
Is that a good thing or a bad thing?
There have been worse economies than the current one.
You need a 3 digit IQ to enjoy this finding.
>deindustrialization
>not overseen by both parties
>not a process that has happened in countries that were not run by Ronald Reagan and followed policies different from his
also no fags
these
People who grew up in the 80's became shitty people in 2015. I kind of feel like the people who are growing up now are rejecting their 80's parents' bullshit and are going to grow up to be better people.
This
I was born in 88. My dad was 18 when I was born.
Both my parents are still together but live in an RV and smoke weed all day.
They really were not the worst parents, They were never political or preachy.
I'm a married military vet who goes to Catholic mass every Sunday.
