If he wins the CL three times in a row will he finally be respected as the only GOAT?

If he wins the CL three times in a row will he finally be respected as the only GOAT?

>he wins the CL three times in a row
*as top scorer
yes, literally nobody can beat this record.

he already is mehmet

by Muslims who don't even watch games? yes.

in 40 years by people who never watched him play? yes.

by people who actually watched him play? fuck no.

No

>by people who actually watched him play? fuck no.
yet you think Gerd Mulel is top10 right? lmao

Says a lot that you can be the top goal scorer but not the best player on your team

yet you think Gheeorghe Hagi is top10 right? lmao

>top scorer in CL
>top assister in CL
>not the best player
you can't just invent stats just because actual basic stats dont align with your belief system and/or PES career.

absolutely not. probably top 50.

this

Di Stéfano won it 5 consecutive times though

tsu?

As did bunch of other players no one remembers.

You think people will remember Ronaldo in 50 years time?

no one rates Gerd here

everyone knows it was different times

He is not a tennis player you fucking muslim, football is a team sport
He didn't win shit
Real won 2 CLs in a row and Penaldo wasn't even a key player in the team like Marcelo or Navas

The stats will remain there, etched in stone.
Even if people try their hardest to forget.
In a way, it's more enjoyable if you're considered to be the least talented of the two (Ronaldo vs. Messi) because the words to describe genius are fuzzy and sometimes incomprehensible, whereas the words to describe stats are beautiful, stubborn and undeniable numbers.

i.e. blood, sweat and tears > "talent".

>muh talent vs hard work
If you want to see someone with talent but not hard work, look at Ronaldinho. Also people held Ronaldo's records before him. Ronaldo recently broke the record for most goals in Europes leagues; nobody knew the guy who held the record before him

Can you give a definition for the term "talent in football"? Curious to what it covers.

Personally I don't think it's a useful concept.
But it seems to be accepted (in general) as the intangible things that separate the hard worker from the genius.

I was just referring to the two ways in which - in general terms - these two players are described and how they way they're described is completely dependent on the existence of te other player. I'm sure "genius" would be used to characterise Ronaldo if Messi wasn't around, and likewise "unbelievable hard worker" would be used to characterise Messi if Ronaldo wasn't around. In the end, it's all words that we use to describe two great football players who have very different styles.

>3rd place in La Liga
>Dumped out of the Cup by a team no ones heard of
>Chasing a meme records instead of helping his team

No

t. PSG investor

...

He's not even the best player in his fucking team. Why is he in the GOAT conversation even? When did a career became related to your actual talent with a ball? Am I being tricked here? Do people watch games or do they just read players Wikipedia page?

Based kraut

>He's not even the best player in his fucking team.
Neither is Messi, but no one cares. Say thanks to mass media.

Its not the 60s anymore where players arent well documented. Tsuu and missi are probably the most documented footballers yet. So the people in the future can see for themselves who was better

Lol no.. Tsuman is trash

Who's better than him?

Iniesta and Busquets.

Lol. If you really think Current Iniesta is better than Messi you're crazy. He's been hit by age like a train

Yeah, maybe “current” Iniesta isn’t as good but just like SAF said, Cristiano would still be a top-scorer in English Championship, doubt Messi would be...

Messi has a better record against all English teams he's faced than Ronaldo except for Livepool

Pelé has the numbers and everyone just says "muh farmers" even though between 1958-1970 there was 4 world cups and won 3 of them with players that were playing here. He also won against European teams (benfica and milan) with his club in 62 and 63.
but people just say "muh farmers" here

Yes.
But I’m talking about PLAYING for an English team.

How do you pronounce Zidane?

For me it's z-done

Messi would walk into any side in England

*there were
*we won

He will always be remembered as the captain who drove his NT to its first international trophy
International football is what most great players are remembered for and he mde his mark there already
>inb4 didn't play final memes

Sure buddy.
But his numbers would drop dramatically.
Remember Cristiano’s 42 goals? No way he’d match that.

I suppose Ali Daei is better than Ronaldo then.

>All comps
So Messi gets to play league one and two sides in the EFL/FA Cups? He'll bag 5 each game

Not really since Delle Alilahli's NT isn't a chronic top 10 contender who's never won shit until he showed up

And Portgual won shit because of their great defense. Save your praise to actual useful players in that team like Pepe

>IF YOU AREN'T GENETICALLY MODIFIED AS A CHILD AND DRIBBLE BETWEEN PAID LA LIGA ACTORS YOU CAN'T BE THE GOAT

Every cup winning team has done it because they have a solid defense, doesn't mean attacking players are crucial though
We were turned into a counter attacking team and based Tsuman delivered on almost all occasions, it was a very positive tournament for him

Not every team is built on their defense though. Why do you insist on heaping praise onto a false Messiah when you have very real people to thank? Why don't you spit in their faces some more and just say Ronaldo did everything by himself?

t. never watched him at manU

I never said he made everything for himself you deranged cunt, I just said he will be remembered for leading the winning team who got its first trophy just like Maradona was for Argentina

zih-darn

If being a leader and being a cheerleader are the same thing then sure

>We were turned into a counter attacking team and based Tsuman delivered on almost all occasions, it was a very positive tournament for him

He almost cost you getting through the group because of his selfishness and atrocious shooting. He did well against Poland and Wales, that's about it.

Using that Euro to argue he's better than Messi because of NT trophy, where he was shit in half of the games and didn't even contribute in the final, is retarded.

Ronaldo did do a lot though. They wouldn't have even made it past the group stage without his two goals vs Hungary.

>He did well against Poland and Wales
So, in the games that mattered?

>using that Euro argument

You, Messi praisers brought this on to yourselves.
Remember When Messi had 4 Ballon d’Ors and Ronaldo had 1?
All the growth-hormone fans were screaming “MESSI HAS 4!!MESSI HAS 4!! RONALDO SILL NEVER MATCH THAT” and Messi’s fanboys were so sure that Argentina will win an international trophy before Portugal that before Euro 2016 A LOT of Messi fans said “okay let’s watch who has more international trophies by the end of their careers”.

Numbers don’t lie.
You can never call Messi the GOAT before he hasn’t played for different sides and WIN IT ALL with different sides.
If Ronaldo would’ve played in Barcelona since the age of 12, he’d have 2x as much goals as Messi (while playing as a winger lol).

Kek

Forget it, britbong thinks only matches against Germany or France are of any importance. That's why they lost against Iceland, it wasn't worth the effort. The important games are what matters. Shame England couldn't make it that far.

Exactly.
Constantly moving the goalposts.
If Argentina win an international trophy, they'll be screaming Messi is the greatest ever.
However, they forget that Argentina winning an international trophy should be a normal thing (lesser generations than this Argentina team have won the Copa America), whereas Portugal winning an international competition is closer to what Napoli did with Maradona.

Teams win trophies not a single player. This just shows how fucking retarded ronaldo fanboys are.

>teams win trophies not a single player
t.soyboy

>All Americans sports trophies are won by the teams that have the best player in the league

>Curry/Lebron
>Brady

wow so fun not to mention teams HAVE to take time outs so the ads can roll

Still needs a world cup.

I really hope that world cup final will be Portugal vs Argentina, just imagine the outcome.

Kroos won 3 CL and a WC and has easily 6 more years in him. Rolando can't compete.

>Literal muslim
> saying mehmet to anyone

Historically, Argentina is much more likely to win the World Cup than Portugal. The two teams don't suddenly become equal in terms of their history in the very hypothetical scenario of both meeting in a World Cup final. That game would not crown the greatest between Messi and Ronaldo because Ronaldo would already be greater than Messi by simply taking Portugal to the final. Messi would have to win just to be in the conversation with other players who had similarly strong national teams that won major titles. It's not a level playing field.

after your """"""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""logic""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""" großkreutz would be more valuable than tsu

Cristiano Ronaldo has played in 3 World Cups in his career. Has scored 3 goals.

Back when he was 17 years old, Pele (at the time the youngest player to ever play in a World Cup), in the 1958, Pelé has scored 5 goals. 3 goals in a semifinal and 2 goals in the final.

Brazil is a better national team, it shouldn't surprise anyone. They also have 5 World Cups to Portugal's 0. That should tell you you're comparing apples and oranges. How many Champions League goals did Pelé score?

>muh modric
pathetic

CR7 would won a world cup aswell if he was born in Brazil.

>3 straight EPLs
>3 straight CLs

cr is incredible

Portugal was never stacked.

If he wins the CL three times in a row will he finally be respected as the only GOAT?

no balloon doors, no golden boots

>I only indulge in the finest memes available. One might say, I am a memes connoisseur.

Was trying to help you out. Nice doggo though

Lol no not even top 5 all time.

I'm not kidding.

>Portugal was never stacked.
How's high school?

He didn't play in the finals though

>messi gets shitted on for carrying his team to championship games and choking
>BASED RONALDO BRO, YOU SEE THOSE TWO GOALS AGAINST HUNGARY? TSSSSSUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

>>inb4 didn't play final memes
He literally did not play though. In fact when he got subbed off, Portugal started playing a lot better, they would have lost if he stayed on the pitch.

Im glad the world doesnt rely on your intelligence or observational skills

ronaldo's goals against hungary qualified us for the KO stages. >we would have lost that game without him.

And you won the finals without him. That's not a meme

this
he is great player, he really is, but if you've seen both him and messi play at regular basis this decade you would know there is no comparison

>American
Oh no no no

Messi, Maradona, Pele, Ronaldo(BRA), Ronaldinho

See...Not top 5 unironically lol...I'll even throw in Zidane in there....Not even top 6

>muh stats
A glorified slightly taller and handsome Inzaghi

...

>Win back to back CLs
>While being the top scorer in both of them
>H-He was carried by his team...

You wouldn't have made it out of the group stages if it wasn't for new dumb format that lets 3 teams go through.

that's not ronaldo's fault. go complain to UEFA.

PES Confirmed faggot.

they were shit compared to Argentina, especially at the last world cup.

>Bailed out by Di Maria, Bale and Ramos in 2014
>Scores a lame statpadding penalty when the game is already over and takes his shirt off so all his homosexual fanboys can fawn over him
>Bailed out by a 90' min equalizer by Ramos a year later
>Scores yet another penalty, didn't do anything for 2 hours
>Virtually anonymous in both games

Literally the definition of being carried

>Portugal was never stacked
Were you alive in 2004 when Porto won the CL?

Bro.
