This is nothing. Remember when they used the Twin Towers memorial to advertise their new shirts? Or changed the Hillsborough flames on their own crest to dunkin donuts coffee cups for a commercial? Or when they took Cruyff's death as a chance to brag about great Anfield is?
Golden Age of Liverpool
when Brendan Rodgers was the manager and said before any competitive football kicked off that their season would be a failure and it would be the fault of 3 people he had written in envelopes

The yank owners decided on introducing a mascot, it's a Liver bird (mythical bird which has some local lore).
>Or changed the Hillsborough flames on their own crest to dunkin donuts coffee cups for a commercial?
Dunkin' Donuts did that because they're retarded Americans who don't have any understanding of class or decorum, and had to issue an apology.

Kinda cute a guy an entire ocean away is so obsessed with us that he remembers small things like that which happened years ago.
Who do you """support"""?
The cruyffs death one is very real. I can't be bothered searching for it for that American, but instead of posting a tribute dedicated to Johann Cruyff they posted a picture of Cruyff with a quote from him talking about anfield. Just a real scum fuck club to be completely honest. A real pat themselves on the back club, with a victim complex worse than the Irish.
they might be the scummiest club in england but they're also the most internationally relevant
united is a plastic club with a 30 year old history

A Liver Bird
"Liverpool" is a very weird name for a town. I'm assuming it comes from a different language and the English meaning is just a coincidence?
en.wikipedia.org
It's supposedly from Old English liuerpul meaning thick mud (liuer) near water (pul). But might be wrong bc the name is almost 1000 years old.
