Working with minors is a pain in the ass but the real barrier is the fact that it's impossible to find teenagers who are passable actors
Another problem: you need to cast pretty much everybody in the same age group because two 16-year-olds and three 24-year-olds will look more out of place than just casting five 24-year-olds
