Blasters are not laser guns, they are plasma casters.
Each blaster rifle has a gas chamber (no Sup Forums not that kind) and a charge pack. The charge pack excites the gas, turning it into plasma. Then the blaster accelerates the plasma bolt through the barrel like with magnets or something.
