Is the british media the worst in europe? The newspapers, tabloids, pundits on tv, et cetera

the english have to be the most embarrassing for sure

>your Messis, your Ronaldos, your Kanes

How many others do you read?

Our are highlighted because everyone speaks English.

Your lacazettes, your moratas, your lukakus

Depends on what you read. Tabloids are the worst. Guardian has excellent football coverage. Also the fanzines and the podcasts are the best

Is this actually a correct way of speaking in the English language? It sounds fucking retarded. Why not just say "The great players of the game" instead of making individuals into plurals.

football has its own weird language. someone says one thing and then all the other people in the game repeat it. players used to all say 'push on' when talking about attempting to win games and progress as a team. no one says push on in any other walk of life but they all said it in every interview ever. then one day someone said 'kick on' instead of push on and now that's what they all say. jamie redknapp is responsible for a lot of it.

I've always felt ill listening to English commentating of the games and post game analysis because it really sounds incredibly goofy for a lack of better word.

It sort of makes sense in the context. He was saying how a player/club, I forgot which needs to step up in quality now that they're facing better competition in Europe.

we go again has entered into the football lexicon

think it's just quite unintelligent people with a minimal grasp of the language clutching at cliches. players are not fast, they 'have pace'. no one does anything 'every match' or 'all the time', they do it 'week in, week out'. doubt they even speak like that when they're not talking about football tbqh

'we go again' fucking triggers me

I've seen Spanish anons say that theirs is worse.

Attached: Untitled-120-640x300.jpg (640x300, 30K)

spanish is worse, literally photoshopping shit to push their own realities

Spanish anons only consume their own media, so they can't really compare it to other countries' stuff.

I dunno if it's overall the worst but the big publications and tv shows are absolute trash. Everyone's an outspoken fan of either barca or madrid, and the ones that say they're neutral are obviously lying.
Smaller teams get no screentime at all unless one of their player dies or something like that.
Also, all important reporters are corrupt as hell

"If there's a bit of rain about, it makes the surface wet."

>Guardian

Comrade please

Do normalfags actually like sports punditry? It's so bland and boring. If I got to decide then all "experts" would be fired and interviews would be scrapped. Live commentators can stay though.

I havent watched any pre-match/post-match discussions for years
i'm only really interested in the match these days, not what boneheaded former players have to say about it

Who's bigger than Liverpool Sup Forums?

youtube.com/watch?v=6-7ZTYrW8Ys

>Live commentators can stay though.
they're even worse, telling you whats happening infront of your eyes and saying, he'll be disappointed in that when a player misses

based

It's a different kind of bad. Not as sensationalistic as English sports media but they do literally make up "news"

Spanish media is definitely the worst. Biased, unprofessional, makes up a lot of bullshit...

laughing out loud like a fucking moron
anyone got any others?

British media hacked people's phones

>when you shave your facial hair into a goal so every time you eat you can pretend you've scored

Had Hazard just choked?

Owen quotes are the best

>"In the space of a wink of an eye".
>"Teams that play 2 up front and 5 in midfield do tend to play 3 at the back".
>"If Rojo wasn't left footed he'd have used his right for that one".
>19:45: "Good afternoon everyone".
>"Well, we've waited quite a few minutes for Arsenal to get into any form of... form".
>"He almost needs to mishit one"
>"You can't really grumble at the red card but it's very harsh".
>"Definitely not a penalty; if it was, it was outside the box".
>I was out on the pitch earlier, it looks great, loads of grass on it".
>"When two teams are playing the same formation, it's almost, who's the best players who are gonna win?"

He really makes you think

Attached: CAUbfB-XIAAcr1v.jpg (482x321, 33K)

>“Do they deserve to win? No, Liverpool do. Which is why a draw is a fair result.”

>there's no leaders on the pitch
>there's no-one to pull you through the trenches

Holy kek

I like watching it when my team wins so I can listen to people jerking off their performance.

>"he looks like a footballer,doesnt he?"

I was talking about football, I have no need to read their news coverage.

just take a moment to appreciate the fact that, that image is in fact very real.

>In the space of a wink of an eye
this one is poetry tbqhwy

They are mostly morons.
This is a group of people who use the phrase 'early doors'.

>terrific shot but the keeper has got to do better

every shearer goal analysis ever

Attached: pundit.jpg (634x357, 50K)

kek

And every time a striker fails to score he'll say "the striker should have scored" regardless of the goalkeeper making a world class save or not

please m8

they cant even compete with us

Who is the absolute WORST pundit/analyst you can think of?

>mfw my team wanted it less than the other team
>mfw it came down to desire

I swear everytime I see any sports program from Spain, they do a Monty Python-tier montage

No, it’s not the correct way at all.
It’s used this way as an allusion, as if to say
>across history there have been many successful players/clubs that standout from the rest, such as:
>your Messis, your Maradonas, your Ronaldos, your Bayern Munichs, etc.
It’s fucking stupid, but that’s the jist of it.

I still think he was justified in saying that.

What's all that about can mean, what they they do that

>News of the World and The Sun
>All media

Shearer's go-to word is superb, not terrific

>News of the World was closed down 7 years ago

What they they do that? What's all that about?

The Sunday Sport is the best paper of all time.

What do Brits think about Martin Tyler? He's just the FIFA guy to us Americans

I watch Chiringuitos and Soria is a Sevilla fan

Oh shit, I'd forgotten about the brouchre he had made about himself when he was a free agent looking for a club.

Absolute cringe anarchy.
