What do frogs who watch/follow Ligue 2 think of Siebatcheu?

Our national team is so desperate for strikers that we are looking at second division players to call up. That's how sad our talent pool for CFs is.

To be fair he's playing for a team that will get promoted, his stats seem good

>benfica b

what happens when they reach liga NOS? do they play against their club?

for me it's the Grave of Mercy

They can't get promoted

Attached: yes its called nice liga.png (569x769, 63K)

so they're useless, this is unecessary competition for the other teams

Hey polan hows that team in the town of 700 ppo doin

You do know it's the same system in France, right? Most ligue 1 teams have their reserve teams in the fourth tier

Second to last in Ekstraklasa currently.

yes but they're not in ligue 2
it's just too close to the real competition and the big money in portugal's case

>it's just too close to the real competition and the big money in portugal's case
It's similar in Spain as well.

Based Sochaux. If they wanna blow you out you gotta take em out.

Any 2nd division in Europe is nowhere near the standard for international football. You would be better off promoting within MLS

The reasoning is that those young 2nd division players will eventually move to a 1st division european club and keep producing results for their clubs and therefore be potential strikers for our national team. Siebatcheu is 20 iirc.

That doesn't happen much 2bh. If a young player is good enough for top division football he will usually be signed straight out of an academy. Even at 20 if you haven't been noticed yet your chances aren't that high.

Nolito played for a third division team when he was 22. Diego Costa played for a second division team when he was 21. David Villa played in the Spanish second division before Zaragoza picked him up at the age of 22. Step by step.

Yeah there are exceptions. Still for the most part you can tell who has potential for top level with teenagers

The only relevant parameter is the quality of the player.

If he's good enough it doesn't matter that he plays in a second division.

Look at Leipzig two seasons ago or Wolverhampton. Both teams had players that are good enough for international football.

Many European second divisions have a higher overall quality than leagues like MLS.

>Still for the most part you can tell who has potential for top level with teenagers
No, because teenagers mature at different rates both physically and mentally it's very hard to see who will be good enough at senior level.

Not one player in the Championship leaders' squad either plays or starts for their NT.

I said potential. If you didn't have the potential a club wouldn't be wasting their time with you. 99% fail but that's not the point.

There are Wolves players that have been called up for their respective NT.

There're plenty of examples of players getting thrown out because they are too small et cetera. Douglas in Wolves for instance.

That's just wrong. Dele Alli was playing with fucking MK Dons in League One until Spurs bought him when he was like 19. Many examples of players blooming slightly later than usual.

they spent a lot of money and will be in the prem next season anyway
