So can we expect all the /r/the_donald redditors to leave after the election?

So can we expect all the /r/the_donald redditors to leave after the election?
I hope so

Please for the love of God
These redditors have ruined the board. I remember the days when we rallied around Ron Paul and there were legit neonazis here, not just edgy 19 year olds doing it semi ironically

>dat drop after Sup Forumsharbor

Yeah I really don't want to sound all like le glory days are behind us and newfags ruined everything, but this board has seriously declined in quality in the past year

Sup Forums is satire now. and that ain't changing any time soon

Hope so, has to be the most obnoxious subreddit since SRS.

No, it's not at all anymore. If anything it used to have more satire, but somehow better discussion too. Now it' full of literal children who worship le god emperor unironically and don't want to talk about anything except a bunch of altright eceleb bullshit on YouTube when they're not sucking eachother off for having MAGA hats

where can i see this info

also im pretty sure pol is 2nd biggest board after Sup Forums

this thread lmao, gonna be good when trumpy gets in, he'll fix the world

Once reddit leaves, kekposting will decrease. I can't wait.

In terms of total posts?
Hardly, although to be fair this board has been deleted a number of times
I think it goes
Sup Forums
Sup Forums
Sup Forums
Sup Forums

>PRAISE KEK
They are cancer

I think you're misreading the past a little bit.

Sup Forums was split between Libertarians and literal Nazis, but those groups were hardly monolithic. Libertarianism was always an umbrella for everyone from AnCap, Hoppe worshippers and Paulbots. Nazism served as an umbrella for Stormfags, National Socialists and Fascists (Who were slightly milquetoast on race).

We also had our fair share of unorthodox Conservatives (ie, Buchanan Republicans, Sup Forums fence-sitters, etc.).

I'm not going to deny that there's been an influx of newfags this election cycle (We had the same thing in 2012), but what honestly has changed? Yeah, we have to deal with a few plebbitors, that was the unintended consequence of "colonizing" Reddit. But Sup Forums's quality hasn't slipped as much as some claim.

A good chunk of the people complaining about this are just butthurt paulfags complaining about Nationalists choosing Trump over Rand.

>I'm not going to deny that there's been an influx of newfags this election cycle (We had the same thing in 2012)
Don't even pretend that was remotely on the same scale as this election cycle

This.

Hopefully we can get back to discussing real topics soon.

No, it wasn't because Ron Paul got blown the fuck out.

Of course shitposting and shilling has gone up, we're winning. This time last cycle, election discussion had devolved into Johnsonfags trying to convince non-swing state voters to vote Libertarian, and everyone else reluctantly advocating Romney to get Obama out.

The board was still shit up with newfags.

If anything, this election cycle gets too much blame for that. How many people left reddit when Coontown and that other subreddit got shut down?

>le oldfag may may

All the gullible newfags self deporting

>but somehow better discussion too

Yeah, nah. Anyone that someone disagreed with was called JIDF to the point that debate was pointless.

Both libertarians and stormfags are cancer. I can't fucking stand the pseudo-intellectual jerking off of the /snek/ fags, and the Nazis were too quick to get triggered at anything they called degeneracy.

Diluting both groups improved Sup Forums tremendously. People are just upset that their secret club has grown large enough to get scrutiny from outside and attract newfags who they, ironically, always wanted to "red pill" until they encountered them.

Last year was an off cycle, elections with no incumbent are always a bigger deal.

I get triggered by degeneracy tbqh. #1 threat to Western civilization.

I agree to a certain extent though. The hardcore Ancaps, and Dailystormer crowd were shit. That said, neither are entirely wrong in their criticisms.

There is an issue of Sup Forums being diluted by Redditors and normies, which is why I sympathize a bit with the OP.

Debate would be fine, but these people tend not to do that.

>Thread on promiscuity & the value of female virginity
"Go back to /r9k/ virgin"
>Thread about Right-wing populism
"AltRightFedora.jpg"
>Thread about the reality of race
"It's the culture, you stormfag."

I get that old Sup Forums wasn't fantastic for debate (nuanced discussions regarding MENA geopolitics being spammed with "JIDF"); however, it was previously possible to a certain extent. It's still possible, but less so.

I'm not buying into the alarmist nonsense of "Sup Forums is shit now!" but the quality has changed a bit.
