Can anyone explain why people like Rogue One but have a hate boner for TFA?

Can anyone explain why people like Rogue One but have a hate boner for TFA?

R1 was somewhat original while TFA copied the plot from Original Trilogy.

because kylo ren wasn't an evil old white man you dumb ass

>Original
>Automatically better
Guys I regret this thread more than I regret not going to my graduation

Is kino's journey kino?

Kino is kino, you can't make this shit up.

Actually it isn't kino and is a rather humble series of folktales that don't have much in the way of deeper meanings.

Can anyone explain what Kino means though ?

>R1 was somewhat original

TFA was pandering garbage

What made TFA better then you cheeky bitch?

Because Rogue One was at least a complete movie.

Kino the German word for film as colloquially used to describe high art, Kino the character from Kino's Journey, or Kino's Journey as a whole?

Was wondering what the meme definition was. Decent show.

CAN WE GET SOMEONE WHO LIKES TFA FOR ONCE PLEASE

its because of me, relatable comic relief robot character

because people are fucking stupid

I love you you cynical bastard

Its cool to hate the best girl

R1 It's a solid movie. Good acting, chemistry between main characters is ok. Perhaps it's slow at the beggining but the last 40 minutes are fuckin AWESOME.

TFA has good acting, but don't tell me the story is a rip-off of the original Star Wars. That's what I hate about the film, the lack of originality. They didn't take any risks, as Lucas did with the prequels.

This image is fucking beautiful and I wanna marry whoever did this

Rogue one at its core is just a basic action movie, it wasn't meant to be some big kickstart event, the force awakens is not only badly written and awfully directed, but it fucked up kickstarting a new trilogy, it had a lot more on the line than rogue

I'd say TFA is the only smartly directed Star Wars film. Unless you want to count the LEGO Star Wars cutscenes.

>The Force Awakens: Normie-tripe, completely sterile and corporate, non-nonsensical plot that render some things in the old movie pointless, cardboard characters, and retreads old ground (intentionally).

2/10

>Rogue One: New plot that connects to the old movies. New visuals and ideas not seen in the other films, ones that aren't retarded. Plot is completely functional even though nothing special. Completely anti-corporate, anti-jewish, anti-degenerate ending where everyone dies: glorifying sacrifice for the greater-good. Superior direction to boot.

6.5/10

It's not amazing but it beats TFA by a country mile.

You can sum up the movies based on their robot companions:

>BB-8: "DUDE IT;S LITERALLY R2-D2 BUT THEY'RE A CUTE LITTLE BALL BRO, AND THEY DON'T TALK THEY GO BEEP BEEP BEEP BOOP BEEP. HAHA."
>K-2SO: A reprogrammed imperial security droid (which mirrors some of the character) whose loyalty is questionable. He proves himself and ultimately gives his life for his friends, proving his resolve. His actions are questionable though, considering he WAS reprogrammed to be an alliance member (was his cooperation and sacrifice free-will or pure programming?). Also looks unique and well designed.

>New visual and ideas
Your right , the CGI imperial dude was very impressive. But the war gritty filter is one of the most blandest visual styles in a film. I'd give R1 one thing , it has that one scene with Vader.
