ITs very simple, a two man midfield that is swarmed by opponents shuts down most passing lanes as the full backs and wingers are on the outside touch lines.
The only option to pass sits with a gonzalo up top, or quick set off pass to other midfielder, but even then... the defense will swarm and shut off passing lanes.
