This is probably the only tie of the FA Cup last 8 where the far lower ranked team are the favourites. That's because Wigan Athletic, 2013 winners as Dave Whelan will never let you forget, are flying high in League One with 1976 winners Southampton in the Wigan-esque position of battling relegation from the PL while on a cup run. It won't help Saints fans that they're coming up against a former Portsmouth manager in Paul Cook, the Latics haven't lost a home FA Cup tie since 2011, and while the appointment of former player Mark Hughes is a damn sight better than the disastrous Mauricio Pellegrino, it's not really THAT encouraging.
