simon ese

We unironically use "yes" (literally those three letters) as a casual yes

Japp, Jupp

Yah, especially young people

seh

juu
joo
jees
kyl
jep
jup

*sharply inhales air*

Not to mention ''OK'' is pretty much a Portuguese word at this point.

oh and the official term is ''kyllä''

killa

Go back to America faggot, nobody says "yes".

Okápa

A common casual "yes" here is to say "ja", but while inhaling, making it sound like just a short "a" sound. It's kinda weird desu.

Other than that, we also have "jepp" is the equivalent of "yup" or "yep" in English.

We say "va bene" -> "it's all good"

youtube.com/watch?v=URgdIAz4QNg

No, ta.

There are more places in the country than your specific area

oui -> ouais

Please do tell

in finnish we do the same except with a longer inhale

...

we say "seh" but it doesnt work in every context

What?

Sip.

Aa
Un
Ee
Soudayo
Sou
Umu
Sodane
Maane
Iesu
Seya
Seyade
Maana

yeah nah

>Iesu
I unironically hate Japs for doing shit like this

seeee

I think other languages use sentences like "it is" to confirm things too but I was wondering if Finns use them more.

"O" (colloquially) or "on" mean "it is" and it's only one word, so it's the same as saying "yes" in Finnish length wise, so there's no extra compared to saying "yes".

We say that too in Stockholm "aa fast ne"

Are you literally retarded..?

>he says the virgin "sip" instead of chad version "seh"

I am guessing Götaland then.

Soorii ~

síp
seh
simón

nah

Oh, and here's a video I found of the sound in question.
youtu.be/nutMYpTqLe4?t=21

Ok..?

Either way I hear it quite frequently. Not just by younger people either. Probably a shorter version of "yes box allright", which is a lot older than either of us.

sometimes I say "uhum" without opening my mouth. i say "ok"
When someone tells me something that I have to do or remember I say "tá". It's a shortening of "está bom"

ou
uu
o

weird

Yeah, I honestly hadn't really thought much about it until now, but it's indeed pretty weird.

yeah

yeah

what is it about us nordicks that make us do this..?

je.

this is such a brilliant question that i am dubious of your flag not being a proxy

Esto
Also "posi", but that's trashier.

Simón

Are Scandinavians human?

ja, aha

Loool

You people are so weird.

Pretty sure it would who like Kulla

Sep/seh.

in Russian you can only say "yes" -> "дa" ("da")

there isn't really an informal "word" to replace it with

I guess you can also say "aгa" or "aхa" which is basically saying "aha" or "mhm", though not really a word perse

mhm

or

aha

we have to because the word "sí" sounds kinda gay/servile so when in an informal context people say "seh" or "sie" without even noticing

Aгa.

'ta', 'ano' or shorter 'no' (pronounced differently than English word)

wtf that's the same here

Ah-ah, often said without opening your mouth so it sounds like "hm"

é

Ouais/yé/mhm
Nope/nah/mh hm

Jus or Ja

>just realized I only say "juuh" while inhaling with a slight hwistle
>also do an "aa'a" while inhaling through my nose with my mouth closed
send help I'm retarded

porcoddio sì

Here it's just "NAI" (pronounced "ne") in all cases.

Unnironically retarded

Here in the north we simply inhale quickly between almost closed lips. Means both yes, no, hello, meh and a lot more depending on the situation.

Here'ya go.
youtube.com/watch?v=URgdIAz4QNg

"ouais"
"ouaip"
"yep"

yea.

Dont you just love languages? One of the few things humans have created yet have also evolved naturally. our ancestors likely never met, yet we all have a quick simple way of agreeing with someone. I find this shit fascinating

Fascinating.

in Canada we say yyyeaaaap or we kiss each other or the cheeks and pretend to be europeans

I thought you guys fucked the other guy's dog for hello

Okai

Does any language have an equivalent for "yeah nah"?

"ννννννναι, όχι" but we borrowed it from you (it's a translation of yeah nah pretty much)

ja?

Ya, nã.

ARGENTINIZADO

The northern norway dialect developed because it was easier to pronounce when yelling, which often appeared at sea.

youtube.com/watch?v=TVjbIcuS4uI

"Ouais" is the casual version of "oui".
Lot's of people use "yes" to show they're happy, dumb anglicism.

Ayuh

It's only found in Maine and New Brunswick

most girls here say hello to dogs before people.

more women fuck dogs than guys here desu

what is this autism?

That's crazy
We do this too and I never knew why until now
