The Blackhawks, even if they won every Stanley cup until they're forced to rename it to the Chicago cup, would NEVER be as popular as the other sports teams in this city. That's just how it is; there's always been a huge influence from the other teams.
Even in 2010/2011 when the hawks won the cup, I think half of my friends didn't even watch the finals despite being "die hard hawks fans".
The reason? Derrick rose was having his mvp year. The burrs weren't sucking dick and cutler was leading them to NFC championship.
