Videodrome
Rosemary's Baby

Excision.

cheesy goodness

Lovely Molly

You have good taste, OP. Nice list of favourites.

See Starry Eyes if you haven't.

... A Dark Song came out just after The Void. I haven't watched it yet, but it gets decent reviews.

Julia's Eyes (Ojos de Julia).

Fly, Jacobs Ladder, Scanners

I did see this movie. I didn't include it in my list because it has too many cuts. I really dislike when directors make many cuts to make scene 'confusing'. But I liked this film.

I saw this after somebody recommended it a couple days ago here.

Loved it. I can't get it out of my mind. Very atmospheric. Very intelligent. Does insult its audience like so many horror movies do these days.

Confessions (2010). Psychological Thriller really, but if you like Asian kino it's highly recommended by all

Awesome. I have it here I just haven't gotten around to watching it yet.

The Orphanage, spanish kino.

It's about the occult?

Yeah.

A woman rents a manor house in the middle of nowhere Wales and hires an occultist to perform an occult ritual.

She's not reliable and is suspicious, but it seems she's hired him so she can communicate with her dead son. To do this they have to summon some kind of demon/spirit/angel that will grant them their wish.

It's not like some shitty seance or ouija board thing. Basically the whole movie involves them as they lock themselves away for months at a stretch, fasting and torturing themselves and praying and drawing holy circles or whatever. They really did their historical research into the "real" occult. Kabbalah, tree of life, some eastern shit, etc.

Paranormal shit starts to build very slowly over the course of it, as they perform more rituals and beings on other planes start to notice them.

Event Horizon

Leviathan
In the Mouth of Madness
30 Days of Night
Pandorum
The Stepfather
Creepshow 1 and 2

Not trying to sound contrarian, just a suggestion list of horror movies that don't get much attention around here, aside from ItMoM.

Alice, Sweet Alice

Daym, spoilers dude. A yeah would have done.

where's my cake

the Babadook is easily my favorite- you should definitely check it out.
Also the main actress is a total MILF

Lars Von Trier's Antichrist
The Orphanage (not to be confused with The Orphan)

ending was disappointing, expected demons to be more scary/creepy.

>the Babadook
reddit is the other way

bumped

>The Exorcist III
>Jacob's Ladder
>Moon
>Mulholland Drive

Alien

AM1200
>40 minutes of Lovecraftian horror with a Hitchcock feel from the get go
A man on the run finds himself drawn inexplicably to the source of a mysterious broadcast.

Disappointing movie. After 20 minutes in the movie get's really boring. Great ending though.

Evil Dead Remake

you're doing yourself a disservice by not watching it if you haven't

The Mothman Prophecies.

Where can I find this?

check out noroi, cure, pulse and shutter (original).

I will add Cult(2013) if you dont mind

Is Shutter comparable to Pulse and Cure in terms of creepiness?

>all this nuHorror garbage

Are you trying to make me angry?

...

recently watched Last Shift and I really liked it. But I'm a sucker for horror movies with that kind of setting. A spoopy house in the middle of nowhere does nothing for me. Making a horror movie in the middle of a city is way more interesting in my opinion.

Saw this recently. It was pretty good. Kinda artsyhorror.

What a fucking terrible movie.

This one isn't well enough known but is by far one of the best

Check out Office if you want. Its not exactly horror, but there are murders and suspense.
Koreans know theyr shit

Eat shit

ScarJo is great when she's not talking. The perfect role.

For an impressionable 14 year old this was as hardcore as it gets.
The first scene kept me without sleeping for like 3 days straight.

it's pretty bad, the first 5 minutes are amazing but the HORRIBLE practical effect monster without joints and somehow very awkward sense o cosmic horror. The ending especially just comes of as very bland as there is no back story to the other dimension and the pyramid. And I think even the lovecraftian animu music video clip does much better job at showing the horrors.

It is a shame as i was really llooking forward to quality cosmic horror movie

>Choosing the pleb Lynch scare
Pleb
