Scotland welcomes Premier League Darts for the first time this season with Glasgow hosting the 7th round of fixtures.
A first-timers' match with only one desired winner kicks things off with everyone's favourite unorthodox Serbo-Austrian Mensur Suljovic up against that sulking Ulsterman in Daryl Gurney. With both players on 4 points and only outside the relegation zone on leg difference, this is a hugely important game. The Gentle crucially has managed to win games in the PLD, something Superchin has amazingly failed to do so far.
The match of the evening follows with the Michael derby between first and second. Van Gerwen and Smith's last PLD meeting was in Aberdeen 2 years ago and saw the Dutchman record the highest ever TV average of 123.40, and come into this separated by just 1 leg. Bully Boy is a far more mature player now than he was then, but despite his haul of 10 points has never looked that convincing.
The middle fixture is a clash between gladiators in glasses with homeland hero Gary Anderson against Australia's Simon Whitlock. Owing to the short-sightedness of thousands of pissed-up Scots, the Wizard will be jeered and booed to buggery and this could put him off. A Flying Scotsman success is key if he's to get away from the relegation zone.
The other Scotsman on the card is next up as out-of-form Peter Wright plays Dutch legend Raymond van Barneveld. Snakebite is in danger of being relegated for the first time since 2015 owing to a dramatic collapse in performance, culminating in a shoulder problem last week. A win for RVB could see him end the night
Closing the action is a battle between the other two debutants in reigning World Champion Rob Cross and whining Welsh roidlet Gerwyn Price. Voltage produced an astounding 106 average last week, and a repeat of this will surely be the first nail in the Iceman's PL coffin; even a draw won't realistically be enough for Price.
Coverage starts from 7:00pm UK time on Sky Sports Action.

Another two Players Championship Events were held this past weekend in Milton Keynes.
Saturday demonstrated the time old adage of "trebles for show, doubles for dough" as Michael van Gerwen came out on top once again despite being outscored twice. Rapid Ricky Evans took MVG to a decider in the first round, but despite averaging 101 didn't get a match dart. The Dutchman dropped 8 legs over the next 3 games before coming up against Gary Anderson who was on a 27 match unbeaten run. 7 legs later, it was over; Gando averaged 108 to Michael's 103 but crucially hit only 14% of his doubles. MVG got to the final after beating James Wade in a typically close encounter, but the bottom half of the draw saw a seed massacre; only 3 of the 16 made the last 32 and none made the last 16. The lucky winner from this half was Bedlington's Chris Dobey, who had already taken out James Wilson and Dave Chisnall before the last 16 and then made it into just his second ranking final with a 112 out in the last leg against Ryan Searle. However, despite a ridiculous 110 average that was 10 points higher than MVG's and included a 10 darter with his opponent back on 323, Hollywood only finished 13% of his attempts at a finish and lost 6-2.
Sunday saw a season first: neither MVG nor Gando won a Players Championship, both crashing out to hyperspeeders Jermaine Wattimena in the last 64 and Rapid Ricky in the last 32 respectively. So who came out on top? In an all-English last 4, it wasn't Mervyn King (thank God for that). It also wasn't James Wilson, who made the semifinals and looked ominous for a place in the final but went down to Chizzy. However, it wasn't Dim Dave either. In true Chizzy style, the simpleton blew a bull shot for the match in the 10th leg and then lost throw by kicking off with 44 and allowing Stoke dab master Ian White to claim his first ranking title in 2 years.
Here's Gerwyn Price whining again after he lost to Mickey Mansell in round 1 on Saturday. Please quit darts.

Haha time for /180/ >Stoke dab master Ian White to claim his first ranking title in 2 years. Fucking nice
Elsewhere, Pheeel started his professional post darts career with a trip to Japan where he was runner-up in the soft-tip "SuperDarts", losing to Haruki Muramatsu in the final.
Gando usually seems nervous as fuck in front of his home crowd, good job he's not playing Mensur or another slower player as I could see him dying up there
