Prepare for Ding Daleks.

>‘Who doesn’t love the Drashigs?’ says executive producer Nicholas Briggs. ‘The huge omnivores from Carnival of Monsters are back in force - and this time they’re in bigger numbers and deadlier than ever!’
I feel like this sums up Briggs Finish quite well.

Imagine saying "Who doesn't love the Drashigs?" in complete sincerity.

THIS IS A MISSYCHAD THREAD
SIMMKEKS NOT ALLOWED

...

Zagreus is pretty damn confusing, but also kind of neat. Paul's performance is on point, delivering a Doctor that's both charming and intimidating, especially when the anti-time/Zagreus entity comes into the picture.

I would recommend going through (most of) the Eighth Doctor line though. Lots of great stories, plus it'll give you more context on the relationship between Charley and the Doctor.

Thats pretty neat

SAY SOMETHING NICE

You numasterfags and your silly fights.

I am the Master, and you will… come to like me once you get to know me.

>posting homoshit

>unironically being straight

Um…this is /who/, we're all homos here. Did you get lost on the way to a Top Gear general?

>not being bi master race
boys are for fun, girls are for procreation. prove me wrong

Girls can be fun too. Otherwise, god wouldn't have given us birth control, would he?

does /who/ support of a twink companion?

also the 4th Doctor's getting a new companion
>bigfinish.com/news/v/a-new-companion-for-the-fourth-doctor

please respond

god didn't give us birth control, humans with free will did

Ice Fairy is so fucking gay

THAT'S IT - I'm deleting the Wikia!

I'm actually kind of hype for the new Fourth Doctor companion. I just hope she won't be shit

If god didn't give us birth control, why do Catholics and Fundamentalists hate?

you've got it backwards
if god was the one who gave us birth control, the catholics and fundies WOULDN'T hate

You'll only have to wait until 2019 to find out!

She does look cool though, and a police officer wandering into a police box is a bit clever for a companion introduction. Although I'm not sure how I feel about a cop being a companion

So has anyone listened to the Ninth Doctor Adventures yet? How bad is it?

Not even meaning to sound like an SJW, but it feels a little weird that Big Finish hasn't found a non-white lady to play an audio companion. Erimem was played by a white actress. Roz was already introduced in the books. I know race doesn't fucking matter in audio format, but it seems strange.

That's Big Finish!

yes but do you support of him as a companion?

Things Catholics and Fundies hate: reason, pleasure, questioning authority… all things we're born with.

Things Catholics and Fundies don't hate: massive cathedrals, abstinence for religious reasons… all things we invented.

So surely, if we invented it, they'd love it. Unless you're suggesting they're inconsistent?

Tsundere as a F U C K

>a police officer wandering into a police box is a bit clever for a companion introduction. Although I'm not sure how I feel about a cop being a companion
Bernard Cribbins would like a word with you.

>abstinence for religious reasons
they would argue that god invented that
and "reason" is debatable since they also consider their beliefs to be internally consistent. Reason is almost entirely subjective

>Unless you're suggesting they're inconsistent?
Like that even needed mentioning

What's he want to talk about?

I want a twink, but not a femme twink, and there's an user here who doesn't believe anyone but femme twinks count as twinks, so I'm not sure how to answer.

Being a police officer who wandered into a police box that turned out to be a TARDIS and then helped Dr Who, Susan, and Louise free Earth from the Daleks in 2150, probably.

But really, he's Bernard Cribbins. Why wouldn't you just say yes without question if he wants to talk to you?

"femme twink" seems like a confused description on multiple levels. for starters, "femme" is a lesbian-exclusive term

>so I'm not sure how to answer.
you could start by posting an example of a non-femme twink

The way I see it, we won't get a twink compaion until we get a female doctor. And if we get a female doctor, they will want the companion to look weaker and more vulnerable than her. The only way they can realistically do that is by getting a femme twink who looks even more feminine and vulnerable than the actual female

>if we get a female doctor, they will want the companion to look weaker and more vulnerable than her. The only way they can realistically do that is by getting a femme twink who looks even more feminine and vulnerable than the actual female

>user ACTUALLY believes this

>"femme" is a lesbian-exclusive term
No it isn't.

A femme is a feminine gay man, usually feminine- or androgynous-looking as well as feminine-acting.

A twink is a young and pretty gay man, usually slender and hairless.

So there's obviously a lot of overlap between the two, but they're not the same thing, as proven by, for example, the multi-decade existence of a magazine called Muscle Twink.

Where did I fumble in my logic?
Are you suggesting that they don't currently (and always) cast companions to be weaker and more vulnerable than the doctor? Rory and even mickey were both weak and vulnerable. The only immediate exception I can think of is jack, but they'd never cast him alongside a female doctor because he'd be too dominant

>No it isn't
stopped reading there. it is. that's the term's original and true definition, other groups have just hijacked it

>other groups have just hijacked it
so? Definitions of words change. That's like complaining about "faggot" no longer referring to a bundle of sticks

Big Finish had a black actress for a main character in Bernice Summerfield for a while, but I think the character is retired now.

Seriously, the fact that dykes have been using it since the 50s but fags have only been using it since the 60s actually matters to you today, in 2017?

JZS CHRIST THEY THEY ARE ANNOUNCING HIM TODAY

I miss when Benny had her own series.

You just have this weird inability to separate characteristics from physical appearance. Of course the Doctor is always written as more resourceful, knowledgeable, and confident than their companions, but why on earth would that mean that a female Doctor would have to have a twink companion?

It's especially bizarre when you take classic series into consideration. The Doctor isn't always physically stronger than the companions.

>Are you suggesting that they don't currently (and always) cast companions to be weaker and more vulnerable than the doctor?
Not that user, but…
>Ian and 1
>Steven and 1
>Ben and 1
>Ben and 2
>Jamie and 2
>Harry and 4
>Arguably even Turlough and 5
Most of the male companions have been stronger and butcher than their Doctors. Adric is the only exception in classic Who.

And it's not like 11 was a macho man next to Rory, the one who decked Hitler and blew up Cyberships while he just ran around talking.

And over course River was stronger and more macho than 11.

>talk about about something related to gay people for a couple of posts and you both bust out the slurs
gee, why don't I trust these posters as reliable authorities on this subject? they seem very clued in

>him

We probably both assumed that you were a fag like us or you wouldn't be having this conversation. But thank you for getting offended at our language on our behalf. You're a real friend to our people.

It's not just the male characters, I'd argue that Leela is at least as physically threatening as the Doctor, even if she might not be as large.

np, have fun pretending men can be "femme"

Anyone up for Hide rewatch then? Today, in 3-4 hours when I'm home.

im in

>gay people on Sup Forums
>getting offended by the word "faggot"
you didn't think that through did you

Agreed. And Zoe and Ace, too.

The only reason I just listed the male companions is that user was saying they wouldn't have a male companion who's weaker than the Doctor, and basically all male companions have been weaker than the Doctor except Adric and maybe Jack (vs. 9, if not vs. 10).

I do think user is right that it's at least a little more likely they'd cast a twink companion with a female Doctor than with a male Doctor, but his reasoning makes no sense.

You Cletus.

Thank you for the permission to continue to use the slang that's actually used at gay bars and in gay porn, and has been since before I was born.

your thanks is not needed but it is appreciated

It's a bad idea since it's such a common suffix from drawfag to avatarfag to characterfag.

When does "Smile" take place? Is it the same events as arc in space and beast below?

He's got a story about Jackanory

>Erimem was played by a white actress
>he thinks Egyptians were black

The university basement prisoner knocked 13 times in Thin Ice. Hmm.

Also new Doctor is being revealed in 2 weeks I've been told today. After episode 6 in which the Doctor's long regeneration supposedly starts

>he thinks Egyptian were WHITE

Wrong.

History's a whitewash.

hello secret show insider, please reveal your secrets. is missy really clara? is 13 a woman? are the voord returning?

So next month's Doctor Who Magazine will preview every remaining episode except "The Doctor Falls", I think that's more likely because that episode is the sole one being transmitted on the first day of the following month.

Considering that the audio format means they don't need to build sets or shoot on location for shit, you'd think there would be more "Doctor goes to Asia/Africa/Antarctica" stories. Like a Thousand Tiny Wings.

>The university basement prisoner knocked 13 times in Thin Ice
Is this true?

Also, I'd be so annoyed if I started my era on the show and found out the Showrunner before me did some arc where my Doctor was locked in the basement.

They've brought back the Mondasian cybermen.
That makes me happy.
They're probably going to change their voices though.
That makes me sad.

There's still the hurdle of accents and actually knowing about the country's culture.

I listened to an audio that was set entirely in France today but I constantly forgot this because everybody was just using English accents (I know this is a common DW thing, but it's still lazy and counterproductive to storytelling). But then on the other hand, when someone in BF does attempt to do a non-British accent it can jarringly bad.

I was told that the Thirteenth Doctor was not announced earlier than before the start of the Christmas release. It is rumored that this will be a Christel Dee. At Christmas, the Twelfth along with the First will save Clara far arse from the time lords. By chance, they will save Gallifrey as well.
The details are coming soon, at 3 pm.

Yeah the issue after that is released before episode 12.

there were 16 knocks

13 knocks

...

that's the implication even though it's not explicitly stated

But would it be that hard to find half a dozen Asians at a local theatre to play a Chinese cast, and say that the TARDIS translation circuits make them sound like they're speaking British English?

16 knocks

Nardole: "Never asked to be reassembled did I?"

*KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK*

Nardole: "Knocking. What was that about? No one is going to open the door just because you're knocking"

*KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK*

Nardole: "Oh, getting cocky now are you? Why? What do you think you know? What has he told you?

*KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK*

Nardole: "Because, yeah, he may have a little friend now, and yeah, he may be a little bit distracted but I tell you something, I'm still here, and as long as long as I'm still here, you are going nowhere."

*KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK*

Nardole whimpers and runs away

*KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK*

that video cuts off early. There are 16 knocks

>3+3+3+3+4 = 16
genius

well user said there were 13 knocks..... there are 16

>yfw the 16th Doctor is in the basement
>yfw Moffat becomes the Showrunner again after the 15th regenerates
D E E P E S T L O R E

There's actually 500 knocks. Each knock you think you hear is actually a series of dozens of mini knocks.

There are 13 knocks.

Any progress on the Foreman audio? I want to listen to your autists read an even more autistic script.

>There's actually 500 knocks. Each knock you think you hear is actually a series of dozens of mini knocks.

Just checked on iPlayer, definitely 13 knocks.

no

I believe all we've got left is nirvi and alex which edgey should get around to eventually
then it's just up to director user to edit it all together (if he's smart he's probably already got a project done, just with empty gaps for the missing parts)

Are there any classic who OSTs that have all the synth music? Or do we have to make our own?

Away to fuck.

haven't watched since river song died or whatever in that one uh, christmas special, i think it was?

is it worth getting back into it?

are you all deaf? There are 16!

See:

you're only 4 episodes behind, user

This is wrong, there aren't 3 knocks after Nardole says:
"...I'm still here, you are going nowhere."
There's 4, and after the 4th knock, it cuts to 'Next Time'. You've added 3 extra knocks. There are 13.
